Chapter 6 - Chapter 06-Unexpected Encounter

Samson quickened his pace when he saw a group of young men surrounding a girl. He had a bad feeling because the girl looked terrified and kept screaming.

One of the young men approached the girl, touched a sensitive part of her body, and then said, "Come on, Miss! Come have some fun with us tonight. What's the price, sweet lady?"

The girl slapped the young man who touched her body, exclaiming, "I'm not the kind of girl you think I am! What do you want? Please don't touch me! Otherwise, I'll scream again."

The young man who had been slapped immediately grabbed the girl's hair with a lewd grin. "You're quite brave for a girl."

The girl's face was pale with fear, and she struggled to break free from the young man's grip. The other young men also started groping the girl's body one by one.

"You don't have to be scared; we have money to pay you."

"Let me go... let go...! Help... help...!" the girl screamed helplessly.

"Let her go!"

A loud reprimand was heard by the group of young men. They looked for the source of the voice, shouting, "Hey, who's that? Come out! If you're brave enough, come out and face us!"

Their eyes kept searching for the person who had yelled, but they couldn't find him. Finally, Samson stepped forward a few paces, revealing himself to the group of young men.

Once Samson's figure was clearly visible, one of the young men snapped at him, "Who are you? How dare you meddle in our business, huh?"

"I'm nobody. I was just passing by and saw a very ugly sight. Your actions deserve severe punishment!" Samson replied calmly.

"You scoundrel, I'll give you some advice: you'd better go home, wash your feet and butt, then go to sleep, rather than getting into trouble here," one of the young men said cynically. "Don't say we didn't give you a chance, you stinky brat," the young man said again, laughing loudly.

Samson still held back his emotion and anger, then calmly replied, "I'll give you ten seconds to leave here and stay away from that girl. Don't ever go near her again."

Hearing Samson's threat, the hoodlums burst out laughing. "You stinky brat! You're asking for it, huh? If that's what you want, don't blame us for being cruel to you," one of the young men said.

"Time's up!" Samson exclaimed, reminding them, as he threw a punch at the hoodlum's face.

They didn't have time to dodge Samson's attack because his movements were too fast. They all fell to the ground, blood oozing from the corners of their lips. Samson approached one of the most arrogant young men. At this moment, a terrifying aura was very clear on Samson's face.

Samson lifted the young man by his neck high into the air until his feet dangled. The young man felt like he couldn't breathe. His face paled and his body trembled. He wanted to speak, but no words came out of his mouth, only the movement of his lips was visible. Samson powerfully threw the young man's body, and he fell on top of his friend.

"Mercy, man, mercy!" the young men cried, raising their hands high, begging Samson for mercy.

Then Samson released them, saying, "Alright, since I'm not a cruel person, I'll let you go this time. However, if I see something like this again next time, I'll make sure you won't see the sunrise tomorrow. Do you all understand?"

"We understand, man, we promise we won't repeat this kind of act again," the young men replied, getting up from the ground. The young men ran off with many injuries on their bodies.

Samson approached the girl, who was still standing, occasionally wiping her tears. The girl was still scared by what had just happened to her.

Samson asked the girl, "Why is a beautiful girl like you wandering around in the middle of the night in this secluded place?"

The girl was still rooted to the spot, startled that Samson asked her. The girl tried to regain her composure. Then she explained what really happened, "Oh, sir, thank you in advance for saving me." The girl paused for a moment then continued, "I wasn't wandering around, sir, my boyfriend and I were arguing in the car earlier. Because of the argument, he got angry with me and dropped me off in the middle of a deserted road. I tried to find a taxi to go home, but not a single one passed by, Big Brother. So, I was forced to walk home, and I didn't know I would encounter that group of drunk young men."

Samson nodded in understanding, then said, "Oh, so that's what happened. Is your house still far from here?"

The girl replied, "It's still pretty far, sir, maybe about three to five kilometers more."

"Huh!" Samson was stunned to hear that, then replied, "You have to walk that far?"

The girl answered, "That's right, sir. My house is in Harvens Villa."

Then Samson said, "Oh, what a coincidence, I'm also going home in the same direction as you, but my house is before Harvens Villa. But don't worry, I'll take you home."

The girl felt a little relieved because she wasn't alone on her way home anymore.

"Alright, sir. In that case, let's go home quickly. I'm worried my parents must be waiting for me, and they'll definitely be angry because I'm coming home this late," the girl pleaded sadly.

"Don't worry, Miss, you just have to tell your parents everything that happened, and they'll surely understand," Samson said as he walked.

"Alright, sir!" the girl replied curtly.

They both walked home through the dark night, and the weather grew colder. During the walk home, they didn't talk much.

The girl still felt awkward around Samson, but she gathered her courage to ask, "By the way, may I know your name, sir?"

Samson cleared his throat. "Hmm." Then he answered the girl's question, "Just call me Samson."

"Oh, alright, sir! I mean, Samson. My name is Lily Campbell. But just call me Lily. What street is your house on?" Lily asked.

Samson casually replied, "My house is on Bougenville Street, and it's not too far from your house. But I'm surprised, all the time I've lived there, I've never seen or known you."

"Oh, I rarely leave the house. I only go out if there's something important," Lily replied, occasionally glancing at Samson walking beside her.

"Like a date with your boyfriend?" Samson asked with a small chuckle.

Lily's face immediately flushed red hearing that. She then answered, "Not really. I only go on dates with my boyfriend occasionally. Besides, I don't feel anything for him yet; I still consider him just a friend. What about you? Do you have a girlfriend?" Lily asked back shyly.

Samson chuckled at Lily's teasing question that tickled his heart, then answered, "I don't have a girlfriend yet. Besides, I'm not ready for one."

Lily glanced at Samson walking beside her, curling the corner of her lips. "I don't believe someone as handsome as you doesn't have a girlfriend. Are you teasing me?"

Samson didn't know whether to cry or laugh hearing that. Then he innocently replied, "It's true, I'm not lying. I don't have a girlfriend at all."

They didn't realize it, too engrossed in conversation, but they had already arrived at Lily's house gate.

Lily looked at Samson, then said, "Samson, thank you again for your help tonight. May I have your contact number?" Lily asked again shyly.

"Hold on!" Samson replied, taking his phone out of his pants pocket, then asked Lily to copy his contact number.

Lily then scanned Samson's contact number.

"Done, thank you. Oh, Samson, maybe another time I'll invite you to dinner at my house. I hope you'll come," Lily said, intending to invite Samson to dinner.

"Alright, I'll make sure to come for dinner at your house," Samson replied.

Lily then stepped into her yard. A guard opened the gate, and several other guards were on patrol. The guards just watched Samson from inside; Samson just shrugged it off, then left Lily's house.

As Lily entered and passed through the living room, she was reprimanded by her father and mother, who were waiting for her while watching television. They were very worried because their daughter hadn't returned home so late at night, even though they knew she was on a date with her boyfriend.

"Lily! Look at the time! Where have you been, coming home this late at night? And where is your boyfriend, Leo? Why didn't he come in with you?" her father asked repeatedly in one breath.

Faced with the barrage of questions, Lily had no choice but to sit across from her father and mother to explain. Lily began to tell, "Father, Mother, I initially argued with Leo in the car. That was because I wanted to go home earlier. But he insisted on forcing me to stay with him until late. We argued for quite a while until he finally dropped me off in the middle of the road, while he drove off in his car."

Lily paused for a moment, then continued, "I tried to find a taxi, but not a single one passed by. I was forced to walk home. But in the middle of the road, I was blocked by a group of drunk young men who wanted to harm me. I tried to call for help, but no one passed by. There were so many of them; I was so scared at that moment. They started touching me and acting disrespectfully towards me. However, suddenly a young man who happened to be passing by helped me. A fight broke out between that young man and the group of drunk young men. Fortunately, that young man defeated all those hoodlums. Then that young man also walked me home. The reason I came home this late is because everything that happened to me prevented me from coming home quickly."

"Who is the young man who helped you?" asked Mrs. Sonya, who had just learned about the incident.
