Georgia's POV
After the ceremony ended after the vows, the tears, the laughter, and the applause, Candice guided us toward our suite to rest and change for the reception. But the moment we stepped inside the hallway, Nick's hand tightened around mine. By the time we reached the door, he wasn't just holding me anymore; he was practically towing me like a man seconds away from exploding.
The second the door clicked open, he spun around.
"Everybody out!" Nick barked.
The wedding planning team, Candice, two assistants, and a poor guy holding a steamer all scrambled out like startled ducklings. The door slammed shut, and before I could form a single word, Nick pulled me into the strongest embrace of my life.
His arms wrapped fully around me, lifting me slightly off my feet as his entire body trembled.
"Oh God… thank you, God," he whispered against my hair, voice thick and shaking.
