Chapter 2 - Early Meeting

When Sunny opened his eyes, the old bedroom was covered by darkness, it took him a moment to remember that he lacked his night vision at the moment, and not that he was being attacked by a creature made of true darkness.

Letting out a yawn, he started to get up, swinging his head to avoid falling asleep again.

'Damn, how can i know the time in a place like this?' The open window was the unique source of light there, and so, Sunny walked towards her. Looking outside he saw the desert streets of the outskirts, the cold breeze made the ambience almost relaxing, except for the putrid air that made his lungs feel like they were being sanded.

Looking to his arms brought back the memories of the malnutrition that chased his life, it also made him reconsider his plans.

'With a body like this, even dormant beast should be almost impossible to hunt... Well, better start walking now if i plan to meet her still in the morning.' Leaning in the window frame, he jumped to the other side, it was in the first floor, so it wouldn't bring any danger, also, the door was currently blocked with wooden boards, so it wouldn't be a good path to get out.

While walking through the streets, Sunny wondered if something could be dangerous to him at this time, even being almost an adult, he still had a body that could pass as a kid, perhaps even the strength of one, making him a easy target, but even so, at that time of night there would be no one awake, even if they were, they probably wouldn't be amble to walk in a straight line.

In his way to the city, he took a stop in a familiar plot of land, this place someone called a park, even if it was much smaller than any other from the city. The tree with his parents initials was still there, without his this time.

"Hey, it's been a while, if I told you two what happened... I guess it would be hard to believe, but that doesn't matter anymore, right? What I can say is that things turned out much better for me than I could have ever dreamed of when I lived here... Like, really, could you two believe i killed the two ruler's of todays world? Well, one of them actually, the other one was your daughter-in-law! Yeah, a lot of stories there... You know, this time i don't need to be afraid of dying in my first nightmare, but let me give it another meaning this time"

With that, Sunny took a rock from the ground and engraved "S" in the trunk, right beneath his parents.

"I won't leave this here as a sign of fear, but rather as a marker of when my story really began, so... keep watching, even if your souls probably already became soul essence in the shadow realm. Wow, this really is something creepy to talk about with your dead parents..."

Back in his way, Sunny crossed the streets of the outskirts trying to keep a steady rhythm, but it wasn't easy with the bad air that covered the area, sometimes someone appeared to ask him for some credits, just to notice how battered the boy also was. In his world, the outskirts had been abandoned a long time ago, but seeing it once again reignited a long forgotten feeling of anger towards the Sovereigns, to ignore all those people just to keep their identities as a secret, to keep their power just for them... Decapitating the King would not be enough this time, he needed to make a show out of it!

When the sun was already up in the sky, sunny finally arrived at his destiny, a government building, the same place he would go to in a year from now, but this time, he had another request to make.

Walking towards the front desk, the attendant looked at him with some disgust, but Sunny couldn't be that mad about it, he was very, very dirty at that moment.

"Hey kid, got lost from your parents?"

Sunny hold himself back from cursing, fortunately for him, his Flaw wasn't forcing him to speak the truth, what was a refreshing thing, but Sunny had already decided not to lie directly, he shouldn't get unaccustomed to something that would be part of him for most of his life.

"Uh, no"

Looking around the room, Sunny saw the alloy plates that protected the walls of the building.

'The spell-tech of this time really was bad, huh? I mean, a dormant monster would give this walls a sad ending without even trying too much...'

"I came here to ask for a meeting"

The old man sitting on the other side of the counter stared at him for a moment.

"And who do you want to meet, brat?"

"Ascended Jet... please?"
