"I apologize, I didn't expect to cause such unnecessary trouble." Asher silently lowered his head and apologized to the woman in front of him.
"It's fine, you've explained it clearly, haven't you?" Scathach sat with her legs crossed, exuding an air of
composure though she had almost lost her self-control when she saw that scene in Vivian's room where she was being held.
"But why does that child dislike you so much? Did you really not do anything to her when you were at the bottom of the lake?" Scathach looked at the young man sitting opposite her with his head down, asking with considerable confusion. She didn't seem to consider that Vivian's age probably wasn't much younger than hers, and habitually referred to her as "that child."
"How could I have done anything to her! With my meager strength, if I had done anything, I wouldn't have been able to leave Avalon at all," Asher said helplessly, shaking his head. "I really don't understand what she's thinking." Vivian had clearly been quite gentle with him at first, and even proposed the condition of marrying her.
To be honest, he was quite happy, though he didn't intend to accept. But to be offered such a request by a beautiful girl of that caliber, it was something to be happy about regardless.
Scathach showed a thoughtful expression. "Perhaps she's angry because you rejected her proposal?"
"Impossible! The first time I met her, she proposed such a condition. There must be something wrong with that. It couldn't possibly be love at first sight, could it?" Asher shook his head. "The probability is too low." So-called love at first sight, no matter how you look at it, still comes down to appearance. He didn't think his face was handsome enough to make that kind of old monster fall for him at first glance. ...Speaking of which, at this distance, Vivian probably can't hear what I'm thinking, right?
"Probability too low, you say?" Scathach repeated, shaking her head distractedly. "The probability isn't low at all, isn't there an example right here?"
Asher was startled, then after a moment, nodded softly.
"You're right." However, he wasn't exactly 'love at first sight' either. At first, he simply admired Shishou's strength and decisiveness. After that, he often followed her, and then he fell for Shishou.
"No, there should be more than one example," Scathach suddenly said. "There's also Morgan, Lily, and even Guinevere? Hmm, speaking of which, the possibility of love at first sight for Vivian leading to secretly making a move when alone in a room isn't impossible."
"I'm not that kind of person!" Asher interrupted Scathach's voice, somewhat embarrassed.
"That's not necessarily true."
"I don't have the guts!"
"Hmm, you're right about that." Scathach nodded slightly.
Asher: "..."
Scathach looked at the speechless Asher, a thoughtful expression on her face. Indeed, given her disciple's timidity, it was highly unlikely that he would make a move on Vivian during the short time they were away.
Although his previous posture with Vivian was full of misunderstanding, she still didn't believe her disciple would do such a thing. After all, he was a timid disciple who could hide his feelings for five years.
"Shishou?" Asher's voice pulled Scathach back to reality.
She raised her hand and stretched, her thin skirt reaching her smooth thighs, revealing a languid curve that made Asher stare in a daze. If this was outerwear, it was a bit too revealing; Scathach's tender skin was almost completely visible to Asher's eyes.
"Thinking about it carefully, there must be some misunderstanding here. What that child Vivian said is indeed unreliable." Scathach came back to her senses. As she spoke, she noticed the young man's fervent gaze, and the corners of her lips curled slightly. She casually kicked Asher's shin. "Why are you spacing out? You've seen me many times before, haven't you?"
"It's different... Although Shishou is beautiful normally, this outfit is several times better than before... and more revealing," Asher said subconsciously. After all, it exposed large areas of fair skin. The clothes Scathach was wearing now were a completely different kind of beauty compared to her usual attire.
"Is that so?" Scathach tilted her head slightly, a strand of hair falling down. Asher's fervent gaze made her feel her blood boiling and her heart racing. This feeling was different from the burning sensation brought by battle; it was another kind of exciting feeling apart from battle.
It wasn't in vain that she had specifically changed into this outfit and brought him to her room under the guise of educating her disciple... No, she just purely wanted to educate her disciple. As for the clothes, it was just because the weather was too hot.
"Yes, simply put, changing outfits is like the difference between sweet tofu pudding and savory tofu pudding,"
Asher said again. "Because of the difference in styling, the essential taste will change dramatically."
"Tofu pudding? What's that?" Scathach asked, confused.
Asher cleared his throat. "Hmm, simply put, it's a kind of food... Never mind, let's not talk about that topic. That's a topic that can cause wars."
"Is it that terrifying a food?"
Asher nodded. Scathach's eyes still held confusion, but she quickly shook her head. "Forget it, it doesn't matter."
She glanced at the young man whose gaze was drifting, occasionally secretly peeking at her thighs, and said nonchalantly, "I said I would punish you earlier in Vivian's room where she was being held, regardless of whether you did anything to her or not."
Asher's previously fluttering heart slowly calmed down a lot. Indeed, Shishou had said earlier that she would properly educate her disciple. When he was seen in that scene in the room, Asher had once thought he was going to be killed by his Shishou, but when Scathach took him out of the room, he saw that his Shishou's previously angry expression immediately disappeared. He had thought Shishou had forgotten about this during their previous conversation. It seems her old... memory isn't that bad after all? In the end, he still had to be punished.
And that Vivian, when she saw him being taken away by Shishou, actually gave him such a mocking look... He should have just actually laid a hand on her. Asher thought indignantly in his heart.
"Then I'll punish you" Scathach looked at Asher's dazed expression, first speaking to get his attention. When he looked up at her with a nervous expression, the corners of her lips curled slightly. "Help me rub my feet."
Asher: "???"
"Wouldn't that be inappropriate?" Asher subtly declined a little, but his gaze remained fixed on his Shishou.
Sensing the young man's clearly tempted gaze, Scathach's smile grew even wider. She clasped her right knee with both hands, slightly arched her toes, and tilted her head slightly. "No?"
