As the sun began to set, smoke curled up from the village chimneys. Asher returned to the palace after dark. Along the way, Artoria would occasionally look back to see if the woman behind them was following. She had been habitually doing this for the past half-month, fearing that the goddess queen, if left ignored for too long, would become enraged and attack Asher. However, Skadi must have been severely demoralized today, as she hadn't been seen secretly following them.

"Do we really not need to bother with her?" Artoria couldn't help but ask. Even she felt a little sorry. After all, she was a goddess, yet she was being completely ignored. It was fortunate that Skadi had a good temper; if Morgan were treated like that, Asher would probably be tied to a bed by now.

"No need to bother with her. We'll talk when she's willing to explain her purpose. Anyway, we have plenty of rooms in the palace, so it doesn't matter if she stays for a long time," Asher said.

"That's true, and it's nothing to just have one more person to feed," Artoria nodded.

Asher suddenly went silent, just glancing at Artoria. Is it nothing to have one more person to feed...? He couldn't help but glance at the girl again. Her golden ahoge swayed gently in the wind. She was currently carrying a long spear and wearing armor, yet she still couldn't hide her lively and adorable youthful charm. She doesn't look like she eats a lot... Where does all the food she usually eats go? Asher thought, and couldn't help but glance at her again.

Artoria suddenly frowned, raised her eyes, and gave Asher a "I'm super fierce right now" look. "What are you looking at?"

"No, nothing..." Asher averted his gaze. Artoria pursed her lips in displeasure. Did I say something wrong? Why is Ash looking at me with such a strange expression? It's really annoying.

From then until they returned to the palace, Artoria didn't speak to Asher again, looking as if she was "very unhappy right now." This child Lily gets angry easily.

Asher looked helpless, glanced at the sky, and said, "It's

almost time for dinner. Do you want to go together, Lily?"

Her previously tense cheeks relaxed slightly. Artoria tilted her head and peeked at Asher, softly saying, "Mhm."

After dinner, Asher happened to see Skadi returning to the palace with a blank expression, but he ignored her and walked past her directly.

"This goddess is really persistent," Vivian said, sitting on a stone chair nearby, taking a bite of a cookie, and looking at Skadi's back. The cookies were pastries Asher had made some time ago, originally intended to get on Artoria's good side (and to feed her), but Vivian happened to take a bite one day, and ever since, she would occasionally run out of Avalon to eat pastries.

"The more she acts like this, the more suspicious she becomes. Ash's approach is correct," Morgan said flatly.

"I don't believe she would want to help Ash for no reason." This was indeed true. Skadi's persistence towards Asher so far was truly strange. She wanted to teach Asher for no reason but refused to explain why, which was too suspicious.

"Is that from your experience?" Scathach leaned against a stone pillar, with a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

"Ah, yes," Morgan admitted frankly, then chuckled, tilting her head slightly. "But according to your statement, isn't this also from your experience?"

"Asher isn't the only disciple trained in the Land of Shadows. I'm different from you," Scathach said, shaking her head. "At first, I simply thought he was very talented and didn't want to bury such a talent."

"At first... meaning it's in the past tense?" Scathach fell silent. Vivian looked left and right, her gaze quickly returning to the stern-faced Morgan. After a moment, her gaze shifted to Asher not far away, then she bit fiercely into a cookie. Don't let her get a chance, otherwise, she'll definitely make this person who confused Morgan pay.

For example, by locking him up in Avalon and making him bake pastries for her every day. Vivian thought to herself while licking her fingers.

Not far from Vivian, Artoria sat quietly on the other side, silently moving the crumbs that had fallen on her smooth thighs to her palm, glancing around, then pouring them into her mouth.

The hazy moonlight cast a thin veil over the land. The wind rustled the leaves, and dappled shadows moved on the ground. Skadi stood silently beneath a large tree, looking up at the sky with a complex expression. Silver light enveloped her, and her fair skin seemed to glow with a faint sacred radiance. It seemed she was thinking of something troubling. After gazing silently at the moonlight for a moment, she sighed genuinely. Her normally proud nature had almost been worn away by Asher over the past half-month. It was truly strange. A normal person wouldn't refuse such readily available immense power, would they? And to be personally taught by a beautiful girl like her, there was no reason to

refuse!

However, what was wrong with that person?! Thinking of this, Skadi's eyes seemed to burn with anger, and she turned to look in a certain direction. That was Asher's room where he was currently resting. After staring for a moment, the anger gradually faded, replaced by a sigh.

With those two women around, she couldn't force Asher at all. What should she do? Recalling Asher's unyielding attitude over the past half-month, Skadi felt increasingly heavy-hearted.

Time unknowingly flowed by. The next afternoon, Asher and Artoria conducted their usual patrol in the town.

Normally, for governmental affairs, Asher only needed to decide whether to approve certain meeting contents. The rest was handled by Milo and others, so he didn't need to worry too much. Therefore, patrols like this were one of the few things he could do.

"She doesn't seem to be following today?" Asher greeted

the commoners who recognized his identity along the way, then glanced around, but didn't find Skadi, who had been like a stalker for the past half-month.

"She probably gave up after getting discouraged," Artoria said calmly. If she were treated as invisible, she would also be discouraged. No one likes to be treated as a nobody, and Artoria deeply understood this. After all, she too had been treated as invisible by Asher for a while before, which was why she later resorted to such extreme methods to attract his attention.

"She won't explain her purpose, so I can't do anything either," Asher said helplessly. If Skadi had explained her intentions, there wouldn't be so many problems. However, the more she refused to speak, the more Asher suspected her motives, which only created a vicious cycle.

"That person is... Lancelot?" At this moment, Artoria's voice came, her gaze falling on a small alleyway not far away.
