"Where on earth did Sister Morgan run off to?" Asher muttered to himself, standing in the corridor. After much deliberation, Asher decided to personally go to King Marco's territory. The elf was injured, so its threat had significantly decreased; otherwise, it wouldn't have had to hide. Moreover, the druid was still in King Marco's territory, and Asher was equally concerned about this. If possible, it would be best to find that druid as soon as possible and learn the method of projecting images through blood.
Before setting off, Asher wanted to see if Morgan had a way to disguise them or use illusions to change his and Artoria's appearance, to avoid being too conspicuous.
However, they had already been to Morgan's room and hadn't found her.
"Royal Sister's whereabouts are always hard to pinpoint.
Mostly, she comes to find us, not the other way around," Artoria said.
Asher nodded slightly. That's true. After all, she can turn into a crow and fly anywhere. Who knows where she ends up flying.
"Maybe she left last night," Artoria continued.
"I think she probably left this morning," Asher shook his head. "She was still here last night."
"Is that so?" Artoria muttered thoughtfully.
"Wait," she suddenly turned to Asher. "How do you know she was still in the palace last night?"
Asher: "..."
Give me back the obtuse Lily from before!
Under Artoria's calm gaze, Asher was secretly panicking, but on the surface, he remained as steady as a mountain, saying calmly, "I saw her return to her room in the long corridor last night."
"Liar," Artoria said.
"I'm not lying to you..." Artoria gave Asher a look full of disdain. That pure little face, coupled with the scornful look, had a unique kind of cuteness.
"Uathach said last night that she was knocked out by Royal Sister when she went to your room, but why was Royal Sister just happening to pass by there? I was curious about this, so I secretly followed and saw her enter your room." "She didn't come out after that," Artoria continued. "Because she was in your room all last night, that's how you can tell Royal Sister was still in the palace last night, right?"
Asher was speechless again for a moment. Is this some kind of detective game?
"Is there anything else you want to say?" Artoria
continued to ask. Asher sighed. "You already know everything, what else can I say?"
"Royal Sister really went to your room last night, huh..."
Artoria muttered to herself, her tone flat, her small face showing little emotional fluctuation. She had moved from initial shock, "Unbelievable, Royal Sister, the Royal Sister I respect, is actually a pedophile! She didn't even spare Ash!" To now, knowing such things, she would only think: Hehehe, Royal Sister went to find Ash again last night. Oh, okay, I see. She was almost numb to it.
Anyway, besides her, any other girl was fine for Ash, only she wasn't. This was what an older woman complex felt like.
Asher, on the other hand, silently covered his face. She's changed, everything has changed. She was no longer the dull, naive Lily from before. Now, Lily knew how to play mind games.
"Nothing to say?" Artoria asked again. Asher coughed twice. "Anyway, let's go ask others if they know where Sister Morgan went. Maybe someone saw her this morning." Knowing that dwelling on this topic was meaningless now, Artoria didn't press further, instead saying, "No one should be able to track Royal Sister's whereabouts, right?"
"Humans might not, but animals probably can. Come with me," Asher deliberately built suspense. The two walked together into the alchemy workshop. Morgan's magic had no effect on them, so they easily entered the workshop.
"King Arthur, you're here! Quickly get me some food, I'm starving! That vicious woman hasn't fed me for almost five days!" The white mouse in the distant corner immediately squeaked.
"Do you know where Sister Morgan went?" Asher walked up to the white mouse and squatted down. The white mouse's eyes darted around, and it immediately yelled, "Who knows where that bad woman went, that's not important, quickly get me some food, I'm hungry!" It seems this mouse really knows something, but doesn't intend to say it...
Asher looked at the white mouse, thoughtfully stroking his chin. After a moment of thought, he turned to Artoria, who was fiddling with the potions, and asked, "Lily, do you want to eat mouse?" "Roasted, it smells really good," Asher added.
"Mouse meat?" Artoria's attention was successfully caught, her gaze falling on the white mouse. Her already emerald eyes now seemed to gleam green. This was the eerie green glow a predator emits when looking at its prey. Such a gaze made the white mouse's hair stand on end. Its entire body pressed tightly against the cage behind it, trembling as it stared at Artoria. Its instincts told it that it might be in danger!
Artoria suddenly moved, approaching the white mouse. She quickly squatted beside Asher, placed a hand on the cage, observed for a moment, then muttered, "It seems quite plump..."
"I-I know! I'll tell you, I'll tell you everything! Quickly pull her away!" the white mouse shrieked. Asher smiled and stopped Artoria's action. "Lily, let's wait until it finishes speaking before deciding whether to eat mouse meat."
Artoria nodded slightly, but her face seemed to show some regret. The white mouse then slowly exhaled a sigh of relief, complaining, "It's actually very easy to guess.
Wasn't that woman making an enhanced truth serum yesterday? Why do you think she would make an enhanced truth serum?"
"She wants someone to drink it?" Asher said thoughtfully.
"Exactly. That narrows down the possibilities quite a bit, doesn't it?" Asher nodded, patted the cage. "Thank you."
"Lily, let's go." Artoria seemed to look at the white mouse with some regret, but still stood up.
"Do you want me to prepare some food for you?" Asher walked two steps, then turned back to ask the white mouse. Artoria also turned to look.
"No need, take her away! Take her away now!" the white mouse shrieked in terror. Asher couldn't help but chuckle.
He patted Artoria's shoulder. "Let's go, Lily."
It wasn't until the two had left and closed the door that the white mouse slowly breathed a sigh of relief. Asher's remark about roasting the white mouse had truly opened a new world for Artoria. It wasn't the first time the white mouse had seen Artoria, but she had never looked at it with the gaze of someone examining food before. It was too dangerous; it almost became someone else's meal. The white mouse secretly celebrated in its heart.
Meanwhile, Asher and Artoria left the alchemy workshop and were walking back. "Lily, who do you think Sister Morgan is more likely to go find?" After a moment of thought, Asher turned to the girl beside him and asked.
Artoria seemed to still be thinking about something until Asher asked for the second time, then she came back to her senses and said, "I think it should be Merlin or Vivian."
"Or maybe Skadi?" Asher felt this possibility was greater. After all, Morgan had always been quite wary of Skadi and might want to use this method to get the information she wanted. After a brief moment of thought, Asher raised his eyes and said, "Anyway, let's ask them one by one. Let's go find Skadi first and see."
