"It was Merlin," Asher said. "Merlin came in today dressed as a woman, and said some inexplicable things." Artoria's gaze gradually turned cold.
No matter what it is, just blame it on Merlin. Asher wasn't intentionally trying to conceal the matter of Kiara Sesshouin. Rather, if he said now that the person who came in this evening was Kiara Sesshouin, once Artoria found Kiara Sesshouin, if pushed too far, it might escalate into a major battle. Moreover, right now, the entire Britain was under Artoria's sole control, and the only person he could cooperate with seemed to be the outsider, Kiara Sesshouin.
However, the reason that woman imbued her scent on him today might have been because she had already anticipated this step, wanting to further push Asher to her side. In other words, she needed strong combat power. This implied that the current Kiara Sesshouin might not be the Beast, and thus, did not possess such powerful combat capabilities!
Asher's eyes grew brighter, believing this speculation to be correct. Kiara Sesshouin seemed to have calculated everything, but perhaps she hadn't anticipated that he would have guessed this far?
"You're acting very strange today." Looking at Asher, who suddenly smiled, Artoria frowned. "Are you running a fever? Or did you accidentally hit your head during the battle just now?" As she spoke, she reached out and placed her hand on Asher's forehead to check his temperature.
"I was just thinking about something, I apologize," Asher shook his head. "By the way, Lily, what's going on with
that Northern Country...?"
Artoria's fingers stiffened slightly, and she said blandly, "It's none of your business. Go back to sleep." It seems she still doesn't intend to say anything... Asher sighed inwardly, and tentatively asked, "Then I'll go back now?" Artoria silently nodded.
After watching Asher's figure disappear, she turned to look out the window, a complex expression in her golden eyes.
Logically, after a wedding, husband and wife should be in the same room, but she wasn't ready for that. Although vague memories indicated that she had engaged in such acts with Asher before, she still wasn't prepared now.
But it didn't matter. He was here now and wouldn't run away. Artoria wasn't in a hurry. The marriage had already happened. Could he really back out now? If he wanted to back out, he could have firmly refused again during the wedding today. But he didn't do that. This was enough to show that Asher didn't dislike being with her.
All in all, they could take it slow. The marriage was settled, and the only trouble now was the Norse Gods... Artoria looked up quietly at the night sky, lost in thought.
Meanwhile, after leaving Artoria's room, Asher walked along the corridor towards his own room. He didn't know if it was because she understood that she couldn't keep Asher confined, or if she was satisfied with being married, but Artoria no longer had him monitored.
Asher was naturally happy with this newfound freedom. Despite having many questions about this world, such as what exactly that Northern Country was, these questions didn't hinder his relaxed mood. Back in his room, Asher began to ponder the events of this evening.
According to his deductions, the elves and even the gods that appeared tonight were likely not true gods, but rather Servants summoned by the Holy Grail...? Asher frowned, stepping into his bed as he thought. Although it was fine for him to not sleep with his Servant body, it was always good to rest. After all, there wasn't much to do late at night.
The next day, Mordred sought out Asher. After expressing her respect and gratitude for her father's timely assistance last night, she then proudly mumbled things like, "Actually, I could have avoided it even without your help last night." Asher didn't doubt Mordred's words; with her skills, it wasn't impossible for her to turn danger into safety. However, from his perspective, he couldn't stand by and watch his daughter face danger.
"I'll be going now, Father. Mother seems to have another meeting today," Mordred said, preparing to leave, but Asher stopped her in time.
"I'll go with you. I also have something I want to tell her." Mordred didn't think much of it and nodded. She and Asher then arrived at the Great Hall of the King. At this moment, a group of knights were already seated at the Round Table, holding a meeting, and the person seated directly opposite the main entrance was Artoria. Artoria saw Asher, but merely nodded slightly, offering no greeting. After the wedding, she had once again become the impartial Lion King.
Asher didn't mind. He simply stood to the side, quietly waiting for their meeting to end, then stopped Artoria just as she was about to leave.
"My King, I have something I wish to ask you." Artoria stopped. "Go ahead." The other Knights of the Round Table also stopped, their gazes falling on Asher.
"I wish to investigate the Northern Country to uncover the truth," Asher said. "I believe there might be an unknown secret hidden within the Northern Country. If we can uncover that secret, it might resolve this crisis in Britain."
Artoria was silent for a moment. "I will handle this matter. You may return."
"Why? You saw my strength last night, didn't you?"
"Do you think one person, no matter how strong, can be stronger than a god?" Artoria shook her head. "Even if they could, investigating alone is too dangerous. Do not bring this up again." Under Asher's gaze, Artoria left the hall.
Sure enough, no matter how much she changes, her personality remains stubborn and single-minded. Asher rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache coming on. Ultimately, he was just a Servant; it wouldn't matter if he died. The secret of the Northern Country was far more
important than his life as a Servant.
Since I can't persuade Lily, I'll have to think of another way... Asher muttered to himself. However, whether it was because of Asher's inquiry today or to prevent enemy invasions, from that day on, the castle was filled with patrolling Knights of the Round Table, significantly reducing the possibility of Asher secretly leaving.
Two days passed without him realizing it. During these two days, there were no invasions from the Northern Country's army, and Britain remained peaceful, but Asher's curiosity grew even stronger.
This evening, Asher and Mordred returned to their room after a father-daughter sparring session at the training ground, secretly pondering the matter of the Northern Country. The biggest mystery now was: where did that World Tree come from? Wasn't the World Tree's root gnawed by Niohoggr? How could anyone still have a branch of the World Tree? And most importantly...
"What exactly is that Odin?" He walked to the head of the bed and unconsciously muttered to himself.
"Odin... isn't he the chief god of the Northern Country? Mr. Asher, you seem to know a lot about Odin, don't you?" However, just as Asher lay down on the soft, large bed, a soft voice suddenly came from under the covers.
Asher was startled. He abruptly pulled back the covers, his gaze fixed on Kiara Sesshouin, who was lying on her side in the bed.

When did this woman get in here?! He hadn't even noticed!
"Calm down, calm down. If you scream now, we'll probably be labeled as adulterers, and while I wouldn't mind, you'd probably find that quite troublesome, wouldn't you?" Kiara Sesshouin said with a gentle smile in her eyes. "But even so, you seem quite calm now."
"What are you doing here?" Asher asked coldly, but his eyes were a little restless. Is this woman deliberately trying to tempt him? What kind of strange woman lies provocatively on someone else's bed?
"Didn't I say that I'd come to discuss our plan to leave here in a couple of days?" Kiara Sesshouin said softly. "The events of the past two days truly surprised me. Your strength is much greater than I imagined; you actually drove away the invading gods all by yourself."
"That was only because there were others acting as a deterrent, and they weren't aware of my true strength. Otherwise, how could they have retreated so easily?" Asher shook his head.
"You're truly humble. I've witnessed your strength with my own eyes," Kiara Sesshouin said with a smile.
"Have you found a way?"
"So impatient," Kiara Sesshouin chuckled, sitting up from the bed and pulling on Asher's sleeve. "Mr. Asher, the method I've thought of is actually very simple, you know? But it requires your cooperation."
"Tell me first."
"Let's elope."
Asher: "..."
For a moment, he thought he had misheard, but in the dark room, he saw the seriousness in Kiara Sesshouin's golden eyes. It seems she's serious about this...
"Miss Kiara Sesshouin, do you know what you're saying? You want me to elope with you, someone I just met yesterday?" Asher continued to ask. "And where do you
want me to go with you?"
"Calm down, listen to me first. This evening, I investigated the royal city. King Arthur's Knights of the Round Table are spread throughout Camelot Castle. While part of it is to prevent the invasion of the Norse gods, it's probably also to prevent you from pulling any tricks. If we drag this on, do you think you'll have a chance to leave?"
"She won't let you leave her. You'll never uncover the secret of the Northern Country. Are you content to just stay here?" Kiara Sesshouin continued. "You're not, are you?" Her slightly cold hand gently rested on Asher's hand, slowly tightening its grip.
"Only I can help you. I will take you out of here, and help you investigate everything you want to know. So..." As Kiara Sesshouin spoke, her body subtly moved closer, her soft chest pressing against Asher's arm, like a viper slowly approaching its prey. She repeated in a soft, enticing voice: "Let's elope."
