Priscilla almost asked why out of habit, but she held her tongue. Wilhelm had begun to undress as he laid her gently on the bed. Unlike by the lakeside, he was now completely nude.
“Why are you taking off your clothes all of a sudden? Is it because the room is too warm?”
“To make love to the most beautiful woman in the kingdom.”
Her eyelashes fluttered nervously as Wilhelm slowly approached her. Snow drifted silently outside the window—a rare sight for Priscilla, who had never witnessed snowfall in Swane. But what unfolded before her now was even more unfamiliar.
The reason Wilhelm had been unable to remove his trousers by the lakeside was now all too clear. Even Priscilla, for all her practiced poise, felt her composure waver. Her face flushed a deep crimson as her eyes fell upon his arousal, standing proudly between his legs.
“Damien.”
Priscilla furrowed her brows at the unexpected name. The bed creaked as Wilhelm settled his weight beside her.
