There were no flashy spirit skills, no terrifying sound effects—just one swing of the staff. Without the slightest leakage of spirit power, Li Chang'an shattered Dai Mubai's thousand-year spirit technique with a single strike. It looked as effortless as drinking water or having a meal. The most terrifying part? He hadn't even released his spirit rings!
[Tang San. Points +9]
[Dai Mubai. Points +11]
...
In truth, Li Chang'an barely made a move the whole time. All he did was block one hit at the start, then jabbed Dai Mubai with his staff later on. That was it. And yet, a Spirit Elder at level 37 ended up kneeling before him!
This… was the power of Li Chang'an's staff!
Tang San couldn't wrap his head around it. Just what kind of strength did Li Chang'an possess? How could he be this strong? What he had seen today completely overturned some of his core beliefs...
But it wasn't over yet. With another sweeping blow from his Golden Cudgel, Li Chang'an sent Dai Mubai flying into a corner. As fate would have it, Dai Mubai's face smashed into the wall, swelling up instantly and completely disfiguring his once-handsome features!
"How about it? Convinced yet?" Li Chang'an stood tall like a king, holding the Golden Cudgel in front of Dai Mubai, the staff towering before him like a divine judgment.
"I... I admit defeat... May I ask which Clan you hail from?" Dai Mubai asked, his speech slightly slurred as he struggled to stand up.
The twin sisters quickly rushed to his side, helping him up and gently wiping the blood from his mouth.
'Heh, trying to probe my background?'
Li Chang'an gave a faint chuckle and said, "I don't belong to any Clan. But I do have a nickname in the pugilistic world—Sea King."
With that, he didn't spare Dai Mubai another glance. After giving Tang San a nod and a "See you tomorrow," he took the room key from a passing hotel staffer and headed upstairs with Xiao Wu in tow.
"Sea King…" Dai Mubai murmured the name softly, searching his memory for clues. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't recall any such figure. When had the Douluo Continent produced such a terrifying young man?
Propped up by the twin sisters, Dai Mubai quietly left the hotel—he simply had no face to stay there any longer.
Tang San also returned to his room. The events of today had shaken him deeply. He needed to analyze everything and make some new plans.
To think that in this city, not only was there a fifteen-year-old Spirit Elder, but also a mysterious powerhouse like Li Chang'an. Given Tang San's personality, it was only natural for him to take this trip even more seriously now.

The decor of the Rose Hotel was designed to please—simple, soothing color palettes and a faint fragrance of roses in the air made for an atmosphere that was both relaxing and pleasant.
At the very end of the top floor, Li Chang'an located their room—marked by a plaque that read: Red Ocean.
The top floor had only a handful of rooms. The others had names like "Blue Enchantress," "Pink Delicacy," "Gentle Pink," "Sincere Yellow," "Pure White," and "Green Farewell." Only at the very end did one find Red Ocean.
The door's color matched the name—a deep crimson, adorned with a stunning crystal rose of the same hue. Next to the rose, in elegant vertical script, were the words: Red Ocean, Sea of Love.
Not bad at all. Though this couples' hotel didn't quite compare to those high-end places like "Aegean Hotel" or "Dragon Phoenix Pavilion" from Li Chang'an's previous life, it was still pretty impressive.
Right then and there, Li Chang'an made up his mind: he was going to open his own chain of couple-themed hotels someday. He'd design all the facilities and amenities himself—guaranteed to make young couples feel both cozy and satisfied.
"Big Brother, this place is so beautiful," Xiao Wu said from behind, her eyes sparkling as she looked around. For some reason, her heart was beating wildly in her chest.
"Come on, let's check it out," Li Chang'an replied, holding her soft, delicate hand as he opened the door. What greeted them next left Xiao Wu completely stunned.
The room was enormous. Just the living area alone spanned over fifty square meters. All the furniture gleamed in silver, ornately carved. A deep red carpet was laid across the floor, embroidered with raised patterns of red roses. But what stole the spotlight was a massive heart-shaped arrangement of rose petals in the center of the room.
The heart was nearly two square meters in size—at least a thousand roses must've been used. A delicate ribbon hung above it, bearing the words:
"1,001 Roses – You Are My Only One."
Besides those thousand and one roses, elegant vases stood throughout the room, each holding vibrant, flame-red roses. The rich floral scent filled every corner, so intoxicating it made the head spin.
Xiao Wu stepped forward, picked up a rose, and took a deep sniff. "This room is so beautiful. I think I'm starting to fall in love with this place. Big Brother, can we come back often?"
Li Chang'an nodded. "Of course. As long as you like it, we'll come back often."
Then Li Chang'an gently pulled Xiao Wu into his arms. Her soft figure fit perfectly against his chest, and the light floral scent from her hair lingered between them.
The room was warm, the glow of soft candlelight dancing across the velvet-red roses scattered on the floor.
"Big Brother…" Xiao Wu whispered, her voice slightly trembling, cheeks tinged with crimson.
He lowered his head, brushing his lips against her forehead. "You're trembling."
"I… I'm not scared. I just feel… strange. My heart's beating so fast," she said, placing her hand over her chest. "Is that normal?"
Li Chang'an chuckled, his tone gentle yet teasing. "Very normal. It means you're with the right person."
He cupped her face, tracing the line of her jaw with his thumb, then slowly leaned in to press a kiss to her lips—light at first, then deeper as she responded. His hand slid down her back, fingers brushing against her waist, then resting at the small of her back.
Xiao Wu clutched at his shirt, closing her eyes. Her breathing quickened as his lips moved to her cheek, then gently to her ear.
"You smell like roses," he whispered playfully, nipping lightly at her earlobe. She let out a soft gasp, burying her face in his neck.
Her legs brushed against his as they sat on the edge of the plush bed. He let one hand trail slowly down to her thigh, thumb gently tracing circles against her leg through the thin fabric of her dress. She shivered at the touch but didn't pull away.
"Do you remember what I taught you?" he asked, voice low.
Xiao Wu nodded, eyes wide but unwavering. "Mm… I remember everything."
Li Chang'an smiled, his fingers sliding up to take her hand. "Then let's practice. Slowly. Like I said... no rush."

The Next Day
South of Suotuo City, three figures made their way under the morning sun. Curiously, one of them—a girl—was being carried on the back of a handsome young man clad in black.
"Tang San, are we almost there?" Xiao Wu asked from Li Chang'an's back, turning to the one holding the map.
Tang San gave a helpless smile. She's not even walking, and she's still in such a hurry? Still, he replied, "We're close. According to the map Teacher gave me, it's just beyond the southern gate, in the outskirts."
Li Chang'an didn't say much—just happily carried Xiao Wu on his back.
Before long, a small village appeared in their sights.
It was a modest village, probably about a hundred households, ringed by a wooden fence—likely to keep wild animals out. At the entrance, a crowd had gathered. Something was clearly going on.
"Let's go check it out. Maybe that's the place we're looking for," Li Chang'an suggested.
Tang San nodded. Even if it wasn't, they could ask around about Shrek Academy.
"Let's go!" Xiao Wu called out excitedly from Li Chang'an's back, giving him a playful pat on the shoulder.
Li Chang'an chuckled and sneakily gave her perky butt a squeeze before picking up the pace.
As they got closer, they saw that the village entrance was indeed crowded—mostly young people around their own age, many accompanied by their parents.
At the village gate stood a table. Behind it sat an elderly man, about sixty or so. What made them gape was the old, slightly shabby plaque hanging from a wooden archway, carved with five simple characters:
Shrek Academy
In front of the words was a green emblem in the shape of a humanoid monster's head—oddly cute and slightly cartoonish. The old man at the table wore a round green badge of the same design on his chest. Clearly, it was the academy's emblem.
