Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: The Aura on the Donghuang Bell!

The Lord of All Spirit Beasts!

Er Ming's eyes narrowed sharply as he looked at Li Chang'an.

He fully understood the weight of that title. As one of the most powerful beings on the surface of the Star Dou Great Forest, both he and Da Ming were privy to some of its deepest secrets.

For instance—deep beneath the Lake of Life, at the very heart of the forest, lay a few ancient and unimaginably powerful spirit beasts in slumber. Before falling into hibernation, some of them had communicated with him.

And during those exchanges, they had all, more or less, mentioned the same truth:

The strongest among all spirit beasts... was the Dragon God.

Back during the war with the Divine Realm, the Dragon God had been split in two—his essence torn apart.

The Golden Dragon King was suppressed and sealed within the Divine Realm, while the Silver Dragon King barely escaped with severe injuries.

And the place where the Silver Dragon King fled to—

Was none other than the Star Dou Great Forest!

According to those ancient spirit beasts, the current Lord of All Spirit Beasts—the one now recuperating within the Lake of Life—was exactly her, the Silver Dragon King.

But this was a deep, hidden secret. Even Er Ming only knew because of Da Ming's analysis. Not even Xiao Wu was aware of it. So how the hell did this human—Li Chang'an—know a term like that?

Li Chang'an caught the flicker of suspicion in Er Ming's gaze and knew what he was thinking. He could only continue bluffing with a calm expression.

"Senior Er Ming, as for the details, I'm afraid I can't speak of them just yet… but I do possess something that can help heal the Lord of All Spirit Beasts."

Er Ming stared at him, his deep voice filled with doubt. "You think I'd believe that?"

He didn't know exactly how severe the Lord's injuries were, but those wounds were left by the Divine Realm itself. And this little brat—a human kid—said he could heal her?

Who would believe such nonsense?

But Li Chang'an had already prepared for this moment.

He slowly raised his left hand. A quaint, ancient-looking bronze bell manifested in his palm—it was his second spirit: the Donghuang Bell!

The moment it appeared, Er Ming's expression changed.

A strange and indescribable sensation welled up inside him—as if his very instincts were urging him to submit to the bell.

It wasn't conscious. It wasn't voluntary. It was a pure, direct suppression from a superior existence.

He couldn't understand what this suppression was, nor could he place its origin. In fact, the feeling didn't even seem to belong to the laws of the Douluo Continent—but suppression was suppression. There was no arguing with it.

It didn't stop with Er Ming. Even Xiao Wu, standing beside Li Chang'an, felt her heart tremble. Her breath hitched, and a subconscious urge to bow down stirred within her.

Li Chang'an noticed their reactions and was overjoyed.

It worked! The system's hint had been accurate—his gamble had paid off!

This mission had felt completely ridiculous at first, but just a short while ago, the system had actually issued a rare line of extra information:

[Donghuang Bell — artifact of the Demon Emperor Donghuang Taiyi. Though this is a defective replica, it still carries a trace of Donghuang Taiyi's remaining aura]

As soon as he saw that prompt, Li Chang'an began to devise a plan.

After all, who was Donghuang Taiyi?

In myth, he was the Celestial Emperor of the ancient demon court. With the Donghuang Bell in hand, he reigned supreme and suppressed countless eras. A true legend.

To put it another way, Donghuang Taiyi was a Demon Emperor. The Emperor of Ten Thousand Demons.

And so, Li Chang'an had to ask himself:

'Would the trace of Donghuang Taiyi's aura lingering on this defective Donghuang Bell have a suppressive effect on spirit beasts in the Douluo World?'

He wasn't sure.

Or rather, he hadn't been strong enough to activate even a hint of the bell's power before, so he had no way of testing it.

But now, he could finally stir a sliver of power from the Donghuang Bell. Which meant… he could finally unleash that aura.

And the result?

Even if this was just a flawed replica…

Even if the aura was no more than a thousandth of Donghuang Taiyi's essence…

It was still enough to suppress these spirit beasts.

Because at the end of the day, a spirit beast… was still a beast.

As long as their essence didn't change, some things were simply inescapable. And only now did Li Chang'an realize just how overpowered this bell really was.

So the Donghuang Bell could do this?

Then what level of monstrous power did the true Donghuang Taiyi and Di Jun possess?

If even a fraction of a broken item could suppress apex spirit beasts…

Then what would happen if the real Donghuang Bell, in the hands of its rightful owner, was unleashed?

For a fleeting moment, Li Chang'an imagined a figure wielding a great bell, battling across the skies.

"Senior Er Ming, is this enough to convince you?"

Li Chang'an didn't bother to explain further. Truth be told, he didn't know how to explain it. But his mysteriousness only made Er Ming even more cautious.

'This boy… who is he?'

"…Very well. I'll take you there."

Er Ming nodded heavily and asked no more. This was beyond the level he could interfere with. He picked up his pace, and in just half an hour, they arrived at the Lake of Life.

He gently placed Li Chang'an and Xiao Wu down, gave Li Chang'an a few brief instructions, and leapt into the lake.

Moments later, a vortex formed at the lake's center. The waters parted, and several figures slowly emerged from the depths.

Floating in the middle of the lake was a man in a black robe. Though powerful auras surrounded him from all sides, not a single being dared rise higher into the air than him.

He had sharp, cold features and long black hair that flowed straight down to his heels—no more, no less. Among the sea of dark hair, two golden strands stood out, falling quietly across his chest.

He was—Di Tian, the number one ranked among the Ten Great Savage Beasts!

Not far from Di Tian was a woman of peerless beauty. Her long green hair spilled down her back, and her emerald eyes glowed softly. A flowing aqua-green dress hugged her graceful figure. Her snow-white arms were exposed, delicate as lotus roots. Most striking of all, behind her stretched a pair of jewel-like wings.

Those wings shimmered a dazzling emerald. Each feather sparkled like a gemstone, glowing with the aura of life itself. She looked like a goddess of nature descended to the mortal world.

She was the Emerald Swan, Bi Ji—ranked fourth among the Ten Great Savage Beasts.

Another was a middle-aged man with a rather plain face tinged with green. Even his eyes glowed with an eerie green light, entirely different from Bi Ji's beauty—his aura was cold, deep, and filled with demonic energy.

His build wasn't particularly large, but his figure was tall and lean. He wore a deep green robe that fluttered in the air. His equally green hair drifted behind him—over ten meters long.

He was the Myriad Demon King, ranked fifth!

Next was a hulking figure like a moving mountain. His aura was savage and violent, and his fierce eyes gleamed with menace. He looked like a brutal warlord from the wilds.

This was the sixth-ranked savage beast—Bear Lord.

Then appeared a man with fiery red hair. Although his aura wasn't as outwardly wild as Bear Lord's, it was just as terrifying.

He was ranked eighth—Scarlet King.

And finally, a woman with a seductive presence shrouded in purple aura. She exuded a deadly beauty, her purple eyes glowing with danger.

She was the Hell Demon Dragon King, ranked ninth among the Ten Great Savage Beasts—Zi Ji.

"Who?"

"Who dares bring out a martial soul that suppresses the bloodlines of us spirit beasts?"

Bear Lord was the first to growl, voice full of hostility.

"Let me see it for myself!"
