Chapter 153 - I am an Ancient Giant

Inside the palace, Harald personally acted as a guide, introducing Kenji to the history of the Elbaph Giant Tribe.

This day, less than ten days had passed since the last attack by the God's Knights.

And Harald, as well as the other Temple Guards who had been severely wounded at the time, had their bandages completely removed, looking as if their injuries had fully healed.

The injuries they had sustained previously were severe enough to almost kill them.

In the Wano Country incident, after more than half a month, Kaido's subordinates were still wrapped in bandages, their serious injuries difficult to heal.

In comparison, the Giants' recovery ability was simply terrifying.

However, Kenji could tell through Observation Haki that Harald and the others only appeared to have their wounds healed on the surface, their internal injuries still persisted.

Of course, even with internal injuries, their physical condition was quite good, and they possessed the strength to fight.

"Is it the effect of that temple…?"

Kenji thought of the Temple located in the Heaven World, where a pure light, like a miracle, existed in the main hall.

He had noticed at the time that the pure white light had a certain healing effect.

"The Elbaph Giant Tribe has existed since ancient times, they must have some real stuff." Kenji speculated.

At this point, Harald had largely finished his introduction, but only the part of history he knew.

Due to the relatively savage nature of the Giants in Elbaph, they didn't place much importance on knowledge, so there were relatively few historical records left behind.

Finally, Harald simply took Kenji to the archives, letting him examine them at will, showing great honesty.

As for those records… how should one put it, even Harald himself didn't understand many of them very well.

Kenji casually looked through them and found that most of the records left by the Giants were drawings.

These drawings, let alone outsiders, even the Giants themselves largely couldn't understand.

However, Kenji still saw a 'familiar' giant painting.

"This painting seems to be used to record the 'Great War' from over eight hundred years ago…"

"Strange, it's drawn so exquisitely?" Kenji looked left and right, feeling that this painting didn't look like something a child could draw.

And the painting he had seen before was made by an Elbaph child. This more exquisite painting clearly didn't look like something a child could draw.

"It seems that Elbaph originally had paintings related to the Great War…"

Kenji browsed for a moment, then suddenly wondered if seeing these records today would also affect his destiny?

As for destiny, Kenji's understanding was: it is probably determined by countless small details.

In summary, it can roughly be considered: character determines destiny?

However, Kenji didn't care about those things at the moment. He had largely finished observing the records preserved by the Elbaph Giant Tribe.

He now had a deeper understanding of the origin of the Giants and the existence of Giants themselves.

"The Giants in the world today should be descended from ancient Giants from long ago…"

"Therefore, some Giants, like Harald and others, occasionally awaken and activate the ancient Giant Bloodline, exhibiting a 'reversion to ancestry' phenomenon."

As the connections in his mind gradually became clear, Kenji unconsciously fully immersed himself in the identity of a Giant.

Then, a strange feeling arose within him. This was a completely new feeling, not even belonging to a human.

But this feeling made Kenji understand: he was already a true Giant.

"Now, it can be completely confirmed." Kenji slowly raised his head, his hands unconsciously clenching.

"My Giant Bloodline has fully awakened… I have evolved into a true Giant!"

In fact, Kenji's physical state at this moment was clearly different from that of an ordinary human.

During these ten days in Elbaph, his body had grown several meters taller, and his total height was already approaching ten meters.

A height of nearly ten meters was already very close to that of a true Giant.

Many young Giants in Elbaph were about the same height as Kenji.

And the minimum height for an adult Giant is twelve meters.

"This Marine Admiral…" Harald, who was accompanying him, scrutinized Kenji with an examining gaze.

In fact, during this meeting with Kenji, Harald, apart from introducing history, had almost entirely been observing this Marine Admiral.

He felt that this highest combat power of the Marine, for an ordinary human, was simply too tall.

And has he grown much taller compared to ten days ago?

Harald looked on with a surprised expression.

Not only him, but the Temple Guards present also noticed this unusual situation.

After all, they were just a bit muscular and a bit simple-minded, not truly foolish. They could still distinguish height and build.

Moreover, Kenji's height had changed so much in just ten days that anyone without impaired vision could notice it.

"Um…"

Harald pondered for a long time, finally unable to hold back, and spoke to Kenji.

"You… are a Giant!"

It wasn't a question, but a very affirmative tone.

Clearly, Harald had already determined that Kenji was of the same race as him.

Hearing these words, Kenji didn't turn his head, responding calmly, "Incorrect."

As he spoke, Kenji finally finished digesting the strange feeling that had arisen within him.

Then, he turned his head, a slight smile on his lips, and raised his hand, saying, "Actually, I am an ancient Giant Race!"

"Ancient Giant? You?" Harald looked at Kenji, who was only about ten meters tall.

He then compared him to the ancient Giants, who were often dozens of meters tall, in his mind.

He shook his head, thinking Kenji was joking.

"You're not even ten meters tall yet, are you…?"

At this, Harald suddenly had a thought, sizing Kenji up and down, and asked, "How old… are you this year?"

"Sixty-six." Kenji casually replied, then raised his arm and began to try to shrink his body.

Harald, behind him, clapped his hands upon hearing this, realizing something:

"No wonder… so you've just come of age."

"But, to be so short after becoming an adult… is it because of living in human society?"

Harald quickly came to a conclusion: factors such as diet and various other aspects of human society had affected Kenji's growth, until he came to Elbaph and returned to living in the Giant kingdom, where his body finally grew and recovered rapidly.

Regardless of whether this conclusion was absurd, Harald had at least convinced himself.

Not only did he convince himself, but he also discussed it with others around him, convincing the Temple Guards as well.

Meanwhile, Kenji paid no attention to the movements of the Giants behind him.

He saw that, under the control of his thoughts, his ten-meter-tall body quickly began to shrink.

"Finally… I can freely control [Giant Bloodline]!"
