Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6

c6 Yo hoo hoo, it will grow again tomorrow

Moreover, Lu Kai ran very fast and he didn't look like a patient or injured person at all. He was tearing off the bandages on his body while running, like Zoro after a fierce battle who refused to show weakness.

It's no wonder that Lu Kai was so anxious because he felt an aura of murderous intent that he couldn't control hiding in a hidden corner, trying to avoid the detection of the rebels, much like how Usopp sensed Sugar's presence using Observation Haki after unlocking it in Dressrosa.

"One-Eyed Dragon, today is the day you die it's time to settle our accounts," Lu Kai said, gritting his teeth, with the same raw fury Sanji once showed toward Judge Vinsmoke.

After the rebels found him, they had already untied his handcuffs and leg irons and Lu Kai was now completely free from all restraints, just like Nico Robin when her Sea-Prism cuffs were removed at Enies Lobby.

In this state, it would be easier for Lu Kai to kill One-Eyed Dragon than a dog but he would never let One-Eyed Dragon die too easily. The One-Eyed Dragon must feel the torture of the past two years personally, like how Doflamingo was forced to watch Dressrosa crumble under the weight of his sins.

Being too impatient, Lu Kai gave up running and used the "Shave" he had mastered in the past two years without caring about his physical strength, rushing toward the One-Eyed Dragon at a very fast speed, just like how CP9's Blueno once moved between floors in an instant.

There is a huge water room on the north side of Warehouse No. 5 in the innermost corner of the water room, which is blocked by dense water pipes, there is a wooden round cover. Under the cover is a passage leading to a secret basement.

This basement was dug by the guards of Warehouse No. 5 at that time, the guards originally wanted to dig a hole to escape from the flour factory, just as the slaves in Mary Geoise once dug escape tunnels beneath Pangaea Castle.

Unexpectedly, the foundation of the flour factory was too solid and it was impossible to dig further after digging to a certain distance, so the passage to the outside was not dug, and only a basement was left.

If you are not someone who is familiar with Warehouse No. 5 it is impossible to find the location of this basement, but Lu Kai is the person who is most familiar with Warehouse No. 5, much like Luffy memorizing Impel Down's levels during his chaotic descent.

About a year ago, Lu Kai accidentally awakened his Observation Haki since then, Lu Kai has been practicing continuously and has been using his Observation Haki to obtain information from the guards' conversations, similar to how Aisa in Skypiea could sense emotions through Mantra.

If we were to ask who knows these guards and Warehouse No. 5 best it would undoubtedly be Lu Kai.

After arriving at the bathroom, Lu Kai became less anxious he suddenly slowed down and walked slowly toward the entrance of the basement.

Because there is only a wooden dome covering the basement the sound insulation is very poor.

The sound of Lu Kai's footsteps reached the basement through the passage scaring One-Eyed Dragon and his two cronies so much that their faces turned pale, and they kept praying that they would not be discovered.

Lu Kai had already arrived at the entrance of the passage he knocked on the round cover very politely and asked, "Excuse me, is anyone there?"

It was impossible for anyone to answer and Lu Kai didn't expect anyone to answer. He simply opened the lid and walked down the passage.

"One-Eyed Dragon, One-Eyed Dragon, why don't you answer me?" Lu Kai walked down the stairs very slowly, taking two breaths to walk up one step and asked as he walked, "Why are you hiding from me?"

"My dear, do you choose the left hand or the right hand? Which finger do you choose?" Lu Kai asked with a bright smile, and his voice was full of innocence but the One-Eyed Dragon below had become cold all over and couldn't stop shaking, like Spandam when he realized Robin had broken free.

"Did you bring your dagger? I'd be disappointed if you didn't." Lu Kai continued to walk down the stairs slowly, saying "I will cut you into pieces bit by bit, but don't be afraid, you will grow back tomorrow anyway."

"After all, I don't want to kill you. If I kill you, there will be no fun I just want to know if you can endure it. I also want to dig out your eyeballs to see if they make noise when I step on them," he said with twisted calm, not unlike the demeanor of a younger Doflamingo.

"Stop playing tricks on me, 867! Get down here!"—the one-eyed man held the dagger tightly and roared toward the passage.

His two confidants were so frightened that they could no longer control their bodies their legs went weak and they fell to the ground, trembling just like the Marines who collapsed in fear when facing the Conqueror's Haki of Shanks.

They knew better than anyone how strong Lu Kai was if Lu Kai hadn't been wearing handcuffs made with Sea Prism Stone-like alloy, he could have easily crushed them to death with his bare hands, much like Luffy could with a single Haki-enhanced punch.

They knew very well how they treated Lu Kai on a daily basis Lu Kai, who had broken free from his shackles, must have come here to take revenge on them, just as Robin did when she escaped from CP9's grasp in Enies Lobby.

"Yohohoho… Yohohoho…" Lu Kai continued to walk up the stairs slowly, singing"Yohohoho… Yohohoho… Binks no sake yo, dosaku kei lu yo kei oh…" mimicking the haunting tune of Brook's "Binks' Sake" with unsettling calm.

"Ah..." The one-eyed man was almost going crazy he rushed towards the passage with a dagger in his hand, much like a cornered beast fighting without strategy.

However, what greeted him was the sole of Lu Kai's foot which directly hit his face and kicked him out of the passage, as if Lu Kai had used Tekkai and Soru together in a CP9-style counter.

"Do you really think you can beat me?" Lu Kai finally walked into the secret room, looked down at the One-Eyed Dragon and said "If you hadn't put steel shackles on my hands and feet a year and a half ago, if I couldn't break through the thick walls, if you didn't have more people and more guns, you would have died a thousand times over."

Before the one-eyed man could react, Lu Kai suddenly appeared in front of him grabbed his wrist and broke it violently, causing the One-Eyed Dragon to scream in pain while taking the dagger from his hand into his own, like a clean disarming motion used by elite fighters of CP0.

"Now, we can finally have some fun. You know, I like you very much!" Lu Kai said with a bright smile eerily resembling the way Doflamingo smiled before toying with his enemies.

The two cronies of the One-Eyed Dragon finally came to their senses at this time and while Lu Kai was approaching the One-Eyed Dragon, they ran toward the passage in tacit understanding, much like low-level grunts attempting to flee from an Admiral's arrival.

But just as they reached the entrance to the passage Lu Kai appeared in front of them using Shave, put away his knife, and cut both of their throats at the same time.

"I'm not interested in you so why are you running away?" Lu Kai said with some regret, mimicking the cold logic that Rob Lucci once used against those he deemed beneath notice.

Looking at the two people slowly falling down Lu Kai walked to the side of the One-Eyed Dragon again and said, "Okay, no one will disturb us now."

"Have mercy on me, please have mercy on me!" The One-Eyed Dragon no longer had his usual arrogance and domineering attitude—he only wagged his tail and begged for mercy, with tears in his eyes, looking like Spandam after being crushed by Funkfreed's recoil.

"You act like I'm bullying you," Lu Kai smiled and said—"Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, it will grow back tomorrow," repeating it with the chilling detachment of someone who had crossed the moral threshold like Hody Jones after taking Energy Steroids.

After saying that, Lu Kai grabbed the One-Eyed Dragon and pushed him to the ground—then swung his knife and cut the tendons of the One-Eyed Dragon's two feet, rendering him immobile like Zoro did to Monet when asserting absolute dominance.

"Ah!" The One-Eyed Dragon felt the pain in his feet and screamed uncontrollably the fear in his heart had completely broken his will, like the Celestial Dragons crying before Luffy's punch landed.

The One-Eyed Dragon used both hands to crawl toward the direction of the passage crying like raindrops as he crawled, howling like a wolf and crying like a ghost: "No, no, I was wrong, let me go, let me go!"

Lu Kai stepped on the One-Eyed Man's back and walked up to him he slapped him in the face and said angrily, "You bastard, you still dare to hide?"

"Oh, right!" Lu Kai suddenly thought of something and asked the One-Eyed Dragon, "Balin died in your hands, right?"

The One-Eyed Dragon trembled when he heard this—and quickly denied it: "No, no, it's not me, I didn't."

"Hahaha!" Lu Kai laughed and shook his head—and finally tears flowed out of his eyes unconsciously, a tragic blend of relief and rage like Luffy when Ace died in his arms.

Balin was the guard who rescued Lu Kai from the processing room unlike other guards, Balin's conscience had never been lost. Whenever he had the chance, he would take care of the children treated as slaves. Lu Kai had received his kindness more than once.

But a year ago, the One-Eyed Man somehow became the person in charge of Warehouse No. 5 and he had been making things difficult for Balin ever since.

One day later, the One-Eyed Man lured Balin to an empty corner of Warehouse No. 5 and strangled him to death, just as Orochi disposed of dissenters in the Flower Capital.

And all of this was sensed by Lu Kai using his Observation Haki like how Aisa once sensed the death of Kamakiri on Upper Yard.

However, Lu Kai did not seek revenge immediately because Balin had told Lu Kai more than once not to act rashly and that escaping was the most important thing.

And today is the day that Lu Kai will avenge Balin, little Lu Kai, and himself just as Nami confronted Arlong not only for her own sake but for her village, when the sun finally rose.

For the next ten minutes, shrill screams continued to be heard from the underground secret room and Lu Kai kept comforting him: "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, it will grow back tomorrow."
