Chapter 165 - Chapter 163: Mastering the Core Technology

After hearing Seiki's words, patients and nurses in the hospital couldn't help but show expressions of deep emotion.

No wonder he's Konoha's pride — he always puts Konoha first!

Tsunade gave a approving nod. Though she felt disappointed toward Konoha's higher-ups, she still held strong affection for the village established by her grandfather.

"Then let's start quickly. We'll have you lead the surgery — progress should accelerate significantly that way."

Seiki quickly got into work mode. "Teacher, what's the current situation?"

Picking up a vial from a nearby medical tray, Tsunade replied, "I've already prepared the antidote. However, their toxins have already penetrated deep into all five major organs. It'll require extremely precise chakra control to draw out those toxins using the solvent. The only ones at the hospital capable of this are Nonou and Shizune!"

Tsunade didn't mention herself — because of her fear of blood.

Seiki cast an appreciative glance sideways. "In terms of pure medical ninjutsu ability, Shizune, your skills are already at jonin level!"

Still flustered from before, Shizune softly replied, "Actually, I'm still far from qualified. I just have slightly better control ability than others. Plus, surgeries like these consume tremendous amounts of my mental energy — it would take a long time before I'm ready for the next one."

This wasn't unexpected to Seiki. Surgery required intense concentration, especially such high-difficulty procedures. Completing one could be as exhausting as fighting a major battle.

However, without any demonstration beforehand, were they really going straight into hands-on practice?

"I'll do it." Entering from outside the hospital, Nonou announced her arrival.

"Nonou Onee-san!" Seiki greeted.

The nurses within the hospital also all respectfully acknowledged her presence, clearly demonstrating the authority she held there.

Nonou returned each greeting politely before looking toward Seiki with some sentiment. "During these past two years, you've grown quite a lot! Even back in the Western Front, people often talk about what you've done."

Yet Seiki frowned slightly. "But Nonou Onee-san, you seem much more weary these past two years."

Nonou paused briefly, then sighed. "Seeing so much death does make one feel helpless at times."

Smiling self-deprecatingly, she continued, "Still, compared to those ninja on the front lines fighting battles, what difficulties I have count for practically nothing — it's simply my mind being overly fragile."

"Enough about these depressing topics. Let's start treatment immediately. Our allies might actually object if you stay too long."

Hearing Nonou's subtle reminder, Seiki seriously nodded.

Twenty minutes later.

Rubbing her slightly aching temples, Nonou asked, "Seiki, roughly how much did you understand?"

Seiki remained silent momentarily before replying, "I think... everything."

Thanks to his powerful soul and physical form, unlike most medical ninjas who tire after just two or three operations, he remained unaffected. In fact, he had performed more surgeries on the Eastern Front than both Nonou and Shizune combined.

It was precisely the abundance of wartime injuries and illnesses that provided sufficient numbers — otherwise, wartime cases wouldn't even come close to satisfying his endless hunger for surgical practice.

But precisely because of that, his practical experience had rapidly improved at a terrifying speed.

Nonou asked in confusion, "You mastered it on the first try?"

Seiki nodded gently and took the reagent from her hand. "Leave it to me now."

Before Nonou could stop him, she watched Seiki perform the procedure fluidly, without even a moment's hesitation.

Seeing this, Nonou couldn't help but stare blankly. "Why does it feel like Seiki's technique is smoother than mine?"

Tsunade looked toward Shizune with some concern, only to find the latter gazing adoringly at Seiki, hearts practically floating in her eyes.

Tsunade gave a faint chuckle. "I was actually worried she'd be deeply affected? How come...?"

Seventeen minutes later, the surgery was completed.

"Amazing! Jonin Seiki is truly... Wait, what exactly is Jonin Seiki doing now?"

"Performing surgeries consecutively? Doesn't Jonin Seiki need any rest?"

As Seiki proceeded to the second patient without the slightest pause, all the nurses were left baffled.

Is Jonin Seiki really capable of such endurance?

One surgery, two, three...

He didn't just look fine—he seemed even more energized!

What's more, each surgery took less and less time.

When the final surgery ended, everyone was stunned. The operation that had plagued the entire hospital was done in just seven hours—it felt almost unreal.

Nonou's lips twitched slightly. "I think I understand now why the Eastern Front never requests additional medical support from Medical Ninjas. Sending just mid-level or junior ninjas sufficed all along. Seems like Seiki alone handles all their operations single-handedly?"

The other Medical Ninjas murmured to themselves, "Now I see. A qualified Medical Ninja must also learn taijutsu and genjutsu. Without a strong physique and a resilient soul, how else can one endure endless surgeries?"

The next day.

Seiki got up early, full of energy, still feeling somewhat reluctant about yesterday's surgery. "What a pity—I need to hurry to Sunagakure. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind taking over more procedures."

This wasn't a waste of energy at all; rather, the more surgeries he performed, the better he understood human anatomy, making his subsequent biological experiments progress more smoothly.

In this world where bloodline supremacy reigns supreme, biological science remains the core technology, surpassing every other scientific discipline in importance.

Luckily, there are many more 'experience-giving babies' waiting for me in Sunagakure!

Seiki couldn't help but sigh. While Orochimaru had to sneak around to collect research material, risking constant pursuit and punishment,

Seiki could gather his openly, while simultaneously earning people's gratitude. This was the true privilege of being a Medical Ninja!

As Seiki was pondering, Aburame Tatsuma—the top aide of Danzo—showed up.

Approaching him, Tatsuma extended an invitation. "Jonin Seiki, Elder Danzo requests your presence."

"Elder Danzo?" Seiki raised his brow slightly but felt no concern.

Confident in his power and reputation, Seiki had no reason to fear Danzo.

"Then please lead the way, Senior."

Silence hung in the air as Tatsuma Aburame led Seiki to a tent. He gestured for Seiki to enter while he himself stood at the entrance like a guardian.

Upon seeing Seiki walk in, Danzo's eyes burned intensely.

Even from across the Land of Fire, Danzo had constantly heard tales of Seiki's renown.

A man who alone changed the course of battle and was called a hero.

Next to Seiki, the men under his command were like gutless dogs and squawking hens—pathetic and unworthy of comparison.

"Seiki should have been my ultimate tool..." At this thought, a flash of rage passed through Danzo's eyes. "This is all Hiruzen's doing!"
