According to Obito's original plan, he should have used his Intangibility ability to sneak into the delivery room and kill everyone inside while Kushina was giving birth.
But now that wasn't possible anymore — his senior was already in that delivery room. Sneaking in would be like willingly walking into a trap.
Although his power had increased dramatically — enough that even Minato Namikaze no longer intimidated him — Obito still held deep respect for Senior Seiki, who had been his idol since childhood.
Therefore, instead of infiltrating the temporary hospital, he turned around and headed toward Konoha's central district.
"They specially chose to give birth outside the village just to prevent the Nine-Tails from running wild, huh?" Obito said coldly. "Too bad — I won't let that happen!"
Black Zetsu asked nearby, "Can you really summon successfully from such a far distance?"
"Piece of cake!" Obito casually showed off, then made hand seals and slammed his hands onto the ground.
In the next instant, a gigantic orange-red fox appeared in the city center.
However, the scene wasn't quite what Obito had imagined.
After being summoned, the Nine-Tails didn't immediately begin wreaking havoc. Instead, it lazily glanced around, scratched its belly with a hind leg, then lay down and fell asleep.
Zzzz... zzzz...
Hearing the Nine-Tails snoring loudly, Obito looked at Black Zetsu with a confused expression, as if asking, "Is this idiotic fox really the legendary strongest Bijuu?"
Black Zetsu also looked puzzled — why did this Nine-Tails seem so dumb?
Coughing lightly, Black Zetsu said, "Lord Madara, just use your Mangekyou Sharingan to control it!"
Hearing the gradually rising sounds of panic and cries for help from the surrounding area, Obito sighed. "Guess we have no choice!"
"Nine-Tails, look into my eyes!"
Upon hearing that 'familiar' voice, the Nine-Tails' eyes filled with bloodshot fury as it glared at the masked figure before it. "Madara, is that you?"
If its hatred for Hashirama Senju came from brutal beatings and imprisonment, then its resentment toward Madara Uchiha was the humiliation of forced servitude.
"You bastard! I'll tear you apart!"
Facing the raging Nine-Tails, Obito actually smiled. "Aww, are you angry? How precious."
"Cute? In your dreams!"
Black Zetsu once again looked puzzled — where did this fox pick up such language? Could it have picked it up from its older brother?
Obito's mouth twitched slightly. "Impudent fox!"
The spinning vortex in his eyes rapidly rotated, projecting a pattern of tomoe into the Nine-Tails' vision.
With the Summoning Contract granted by Madara Uchiha, combined with the power of the Mangekyou and the restriction of the Jinchuuriki state, the Nine-Tails was instantly brought under control.
ROAR!
A blood-red full moon hung high in the night sky, creating an apocalyptic atmosphere.
...
Meanwhile, in the temporary hospital's delivery room.
"Ahh!" Kushina, who had been trying desperately to endure the pain, suddenly let out a scream.
"Hold on, it's almost out!" Biwako, mistakenly believing the scream came from childbirth pain, whispered soothingly.
"The Nine-Tails... it's gone!" Kushina muttered weakly through her pain.
"What did you say?" Biwako blinked in confusion, too stunned to understand at first.
At that moment, a roar filled with fury and murderous intent suddenly echoed from a distant direction.
"What is that?" The expressions of everyone in the room instantly changed.
Seiki, who had been silent all along with his eyes blindfolded, suddenly spoke up, "That's the Nine-Tails' roar—it's coming from the central district!"
"Why would the Nine-Tails suddenly appear there?" Everyone grew anxious.
"Most likely due to…summoning!" Seiki replied gravely.
"Summoning?" The pupils of Biwako tightened. As the wife of the Third, she knew many secrets. "Only Madara Uchiha can summon the Nine-Tails, but he should've died long ago. Could it be someone from the Uchiha clan…?"
As she spoke, suddenly she realized, "Wait, if the Nine-Tails was summoned out, then you, Kushina…"
The consequence of a tailed beast being extracted is the death of its jinchuriki!
Although summoning isn't exactly the same as extraction, the result would be the same given enough time!
"It's okay. I—I can still hold on!" Kushina's face was pale. Being forcibly separated from her tailed beast mid-childbirth was an extremely difficult trial, even for someone from the Uzumaki clan known for their strong life force.
"Lady Biwako, please hurry!" Seiki urged beside her. "We must complete the delivery as soon as possible, then capture the Nine-Tails and reseal it back inside Kushina-nee!"

"I'm fine," Kushina said shakily. "Seiki, you should go help Minato first. He and the others need you more!"
"Don't talk nonsense!" Seiki firmly refused. "Right now, your life force is even weaker than that of Suna's former jinchuriki. If I leave, you'll die!"
"But…"
"Don't worry. Even if I can't leave here right now, I can still be of some help!"
Seiki opened his Yin Seal. After the powerful chakra of the Earth's pulse surged into his body, he created a shadow clone, splitting his greatly increased chakra into two.
Then, the clone walked out of the temporary hospital.
"All Anbu ninja!"
Upon hearing Seiki's call, the Anbu who had been hesitating while watching the chaos in the distance quickly gathered.
"Seiki-sama!"
"From now on, please help me spread the mini slugs across the village. No matter what, we must ensure everyone's safety!"
With that, Seiki immediately summoned a mountain-sized giant slug.
"Slug Queen, the situation is urgent and there's no time to explain. Please split into smaller slugs and go with them to treat the wounded!"
The giant slug spoke gently, "I understand."
As soon as she finished speaking, the giant slug split into thousands of tiny slugs.
Seeing this densely packed sight that could easily trigger trypophobia, the Anbu shinobi shuddered but quickly used Shadow Clones to carry as many of the small slugs toward the village as possible.
...
On the Hokage Rock, Minato dodged the Nine-Tails' attack while shouting, "Kurama, calm down! I'm not your enemy!"
However, his calls were in vain. The Nine-Tails still lashed out, obliterating everything in its path.
"Still not working, huh?"
"And that Sharingan in its eyes..." Minato's face hardened as he stared into the Nine-Tails' eyes. "That's definitely a Sharingan!"
Thinking about what Danzo had said earlier, his gaze turned cold. "Could it really be someone from the Uchiha clan wearing the Sharingan? More importantly, why did the Nine-Tails suddenly appear here? Could it be that Kushina..."
Minato shook his head before finishing his thought. "No, with Seiki protecting her, Kushina should be safe."
"What I need to do now is to calm Kurama down and then re-seal him!" With a steely gaze, Minato activated a Chakra Barrier to redirect the Tailed Beast Ball Kurama had fired.
Yet, just as he was about to restrain Kurama with another barrier, a subtle spatial ripple appeared behind him. Though this spatial fluctuation was so faint it couldn't even create a ripple on water, he still noticed it immediately.
Without hesitation, Minato stabbed behind him with a kunai. The weapon easily passed through the figure, as if striking a shadow without substance.
"What?"
Even Minato was caught off guard for a moment by the sudden twist. His opponent seized this chance to land a solid punch to his chest.
"Cough... Did you just become corporeal again?" Though pained, Minato still kept his wits about him, gathering information even as he was hit.
Seeing his opponent attacking again, Minato immediately activated his Flying Thunder God technique, teleporting himself outside the village.
But before he could catch his breath, space twisted into a swirling vortex, and the masked man stepped through using a space-time technique.
