Chapter 6 - Chapter 39-50

Chapter 39: Sending Her Off

Killing needs to be efficient.

If you dawdle over every kill, wasting time, then Lu Hange would need decades to wipe out everyone in the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

"The one who killed you is Lu Sheng."

"I'm just a cripple, you know."

Lu Hange murmured with a smile.

He didn't bother disposing of the body, instead leaving it openly in the roadside grass. He was about to enter Sword Prison soon. Before going in, he figured he'd thoroughly disgust Lu Sheng.

Of course.

Disgusting as it was, it probably wouldn't have any real impact on Lu Sheng. After all, the people in the Three Thousand Dao Sect's Disciplinary Hall weren't idiots.

Lu Hange slowly walked away, continuing toward the Disciplinary Hall.

A short while later, Lu Hange arrived. It was still the familiar place, the familiar scene, but there were many more elders in the Disciplinary Hall, all waiting for his arrival.

Inside the main hall, Lu Hange stood calmly, his expression unruffled.

"Lu Hange, hand over your insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos, and you can be spared the hardship of Sword Prison."

"Considering your many years of contributions to the Three Thousand Dao Sect, we can spare your life."

"You're already a cripple; the Three Thousand Great Daos are useless to you. Why not share them so the sect's disciples can study and gain insight? That's the kind of awareness you should have!"

The elders spoke one after another, a cacophony of voices. Lu Hange remained silent.

The Sect Leader wasn't here. Right now, the ones barking and howling in the main hall were the leaders and elders from all the other halls and peaks, excluding Qingyun Peak and the Pill Hall.

Though the faces of these old geezers were ugly, it had to be said that their cultivation levels were high. The weakest among them were at the Mid-Integration stage, far from what Lu Hange could contend with in his current state.

Seeing that the elders had said enough, Lin Xing spoke up, playing the good cop: "Holy Son, why make it difficult for yourself? You have no cultivation now. Entering Sword Prison is just throwing your life away. Mortals often say it's better to live miserably than die well. You should understand this principle."

"I want to see the Sect Leader," Lu Hange said softly.

Instantly, the elders' faces in the hall darkened. The decision to strip Lu Hange of his Holy Son title was made by these elders collectively, without the Sect Leader's approval, as the Sect Leader was currently in secluded life-and-death cultivation and couldn't be easily disturbed.

From Lu Hange's demeanor, it seemed he wanted to find the Sect Leader to vouch for him.

Lin Xing's tone also turned cold: "The Sect Leader is in seclusion. You are not qualified to see him."

Lu Hange nodded. "Then I'll go to Sword Prison."

At this, the elders' expressions grew even uglier. Lu Hange was truly a stubborn one, preferring death over handing over his insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos.

"Lu Hange, you were once the Holy Son, for the sake of the sect, you should hand over your insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos." One elder didn't want to give up; the insights were not only greatly beneficial to the sect disciples but also immensely helpful to their Integration stage cultivators.

Lu Hange remained unmoved: "If the Sect Leader says this, I'll listen. But coming from you, I don't need to give you face."

They were just a bunch of old geezers. What "face" did they have to speak of?

Of course, if the Sect Leader truly appeared, Lu Hange might concede a few steps. It wasn't out of respect for the Sect Leader, but because the Sect Leader's cultivation at the Peak-Grand Ascension stage forced Lu Hange to back down.

"Presumptuous!"

"A mere cripple dares to speak so brazenly before the hall!"

Many elders rose, and terrifying pressure slammed down.

Lu Hange sneered inwardly. These old geezers really had no shame, ganging up on him alone like this. However, today there were no disciples observing in the Disciplinary Hall. Only Lu Hange and these elders were present.

From the looks of it, whether Lu Hange entered Sword Prison today or not, he was expected to hand over his insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos.

Lu Hange had long anticipated this scenario and wasn't flustered at all. With a flick of his finger, a seemingly unassuming landscape scroll appeared in his hand. The terrifying pressure instantly vanished, even forcing all the elders to take a step back.

"The Profound Heaven Treasure Map!"

"Isn't that Yao Fan's magic treasure?"

"How is it in Lu Hange's hands?"

The elders exchanged bewildered glances but dared not attack Lu Hange again. Yao Fan had two great treasures: the Profound Heaven Treasure Map and the Great Creation Sutra. The former was Yao Fan's core magic treasure, while the latter was the cultivation technique Yao Fan primarily practiced.

The people of the Three Thousand Dao Sect only knew that Yao Fan valued Lu Hange greatly, but they never expected him to even give Lu Hange his core magic treasure.

Of course, the power of a magic treasure depended on its user. While Lu Hange using the Profound Heaven Treasure Map naturally posed less danger, the problem was Yao Fan himself. Who among those present dared to offend Yao Fan? Even Lin Xing didn't have the guts to offend him.

The situation became deadlocked. The moment Lu Hange took out the Profound Heaven Treasure Map, they were no longer facing just Lu Hange, but the entire Pill Hall.

"As I said," Lu Hange's eyes were full of mockery, "apart from the Sect Leader, I don't need to give any of you face."

The elders gnashed their teeth in anger but were utterly helpless. In the end, they were all just a bunch of bullies who feared the strong.

Lin Xing frowned, realizing he had underestimated Lu Hange. He subtly glanced at the expressions of the other elders and knew that today they probably couldn't do anything to Lu Hange. These people were too cowardly. Cowardly to the bone! And the higher their cultivation, the more cowardly they seemed. Simply put, they were afraid of death. When facing someone with higher cultivation, their first thought was never to fight for dignity or face, but how to survive.

Thinking of this, Lin Xing felt immense disdain. Humans couldn't compare to a single hair of the demon race in this regard.

But actually, he wasn't qualified to laugh at others. Because Lin Xing was also afraid of death; he was also one of the elders present. If Yao Fan were to stand up for Lu Hange, who among those present could stop Yao Fan? The answer was no one.

"Then enter Sword Prison."

"You must serve a sixty-year sentence before you can come out."

"If you ever change your mind and wish to hand over your insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos, you can use the token I gave you to leave Sword Prison."

Lin Xing waved his hand. He wasn't in a hurry. Once Lu Hange entered Sword Prison, there would be plenty of ways to make him submit. And once Lu Hange handed over his insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos, that would be his death sentence.

Someone like Lu Hange, with his cunning and methods, would undoubtedly be a minister who stirred up trouble in an imperial court. But this was the cultivation world, and strength was the ultimate truth.

However, Yao Fan was indeed a problem. For the plan to proceed smoothly, Yao Fan also needed to be eliminated. This task, of course, wouldn't fall to Lin Xing; he wasn't qualified for it. But the one who would emerge from the Disciplinary Hall's prison could easily kill Yao Fan.

Lin Xing didn't want to deal with Lu Hange, but unexpectedly, Lu Hange seemed in no hurry to leave.

Lin Xing frowned: "You should go to Sword Prison now."

Lu Hange estimated the time and smiled: "She's here."

She's here? Who's here? Lin Xing didn't understand.

The next second, Lu Sheng's figure appeared in the Disciplinary Hall, her face tense, her gaze fixed on Lu Hange's face: "Hange, did you poison Liu'er? Give me the antidote quickly! Liu'er is dying!"

Chapter 40: Annoy Me? Then Qiu Liu Can Just Die.

"I've been in the Pill Hall these past few days and haven't left for a single step. How could I have poisoned her?"

"Elder Lu, your heart is dirty; you see everyone as dirty."

Lu Hange's smile was gentle, and even his tone was peaceful. Yet, it was this very demeanor that made Lu Sheng feel unfamiliar and chilled.

Lu Sheng was a bit at a loss, but her worry for Qiu Liu still overshadowed other thoughts: "Who else could it be but you! These past few days, Liu'er only went to your wooden house. You must have tampered with something in the wooden house. Liu'er is your junior sister, and you would actually be so cruel as to harm her."

Inside the Disciplinary Hall, the other elders probably guessed what had happened. All at once, their gazes towards Lu Hange grew even more malevolent. Colluding with the demon race, harming humans – and now another charge was added: secretly poisoning a fellow junior sister.

"Lu Hange's crimes are heinous, too numerous to count. I think a sixty-year sentence in Sword Prison is too light; he should be confined for a hundred years."

"Such a malicious person was actually our Three Thousand Dao Sect's Holy Son! The ancestors' faces have all been disgraced!"

"I propose applying the punishment of branding by fire, and inviting the major immortal sects of the human race to witness the execution, to uphold the righteous prestige of our Three Thousand Dao Sect."

...

These old geezers truly wished Lu Hange dead. Just listening to their words, it sounded as if Lu Hange had killed their entire families. But in reality, their anger was simply because Lu Hange had just dismissed them earlier.

The elders were filled with righteous indignation, vehemently demanding a heavy punishment for Lu Hange. However, Lin Xing, the head of the Disciplinary Hall, remained silent, instead sweeping a cold gaze over the assembled elders.

Lin Xing also wished Lu Hange dead, but he disliked others overstepping their bounds even more. How to sentence someone was the business of his Disciplinary Hall, the business of him, the Hall Master. He didn't like others interfering with the Disciplinary Hall. Just like that day, when Lu Sheng merely suggested quickly imprisoning Lu Hange in Sword Prison, Lin Xing immediately retorted with a cold tone.

"Elders, the punishment has been decided."

"The Disciplinary Hall will not add any further penalties."

"If you wish to resort to private punishment, this old man won't interfere, but I only hope that when the Sect Leader inquires later, you won't involve me."

At these words, the elders again fell silent. What were they all gathered at the Disciplinary Hall for today? Wasn't it to make Lu Hange hand over his insights into the Three Thousand Great Daos! It was agreed upon that they would either coerce or entice him, making sure Lu Hange conceded. Now, Lin Xing was backing down instead.

Lu Hange watched the dog-eat-dog show with amusement. He knew well that Lin Xing wasn't speaking up for him, but simply defending his authority as the Disciplinary Hall Master.

"Elder Lin, shouldn't the crime of Lu Hange poisoning a sect disciple be punished?" An elder spoke up, acting as a trailblazer. If today's matter was simply let go, he would be extremely upset.

The other elders nodded in approval. This scene was very much like the "three-piece set" for egging someone on: "Good job!" "Stay strong!" "Don't lose face!"

Seeing this, the trailblazing elder felt more confident and his expression grew increasingly arrogant.

Lin Xing gave Lu Hange one last look, then turned and left, leaving only one sentence: "You have quite the nerve to speak now, but why were you all mute when you saw the Profound Heaven Treasure Map just now?"

Lin Xing's attitude was clear. The Disciplinary Hall would no longer meddle in this matter. Whatever others did, it had nothing to do with the Disciplinary Hall. These old geezers were cunning; they simply wanted to use the Disciplinary Hall to take action against Lu Hange. Afterwards, even if Yao Fan investigated, they would at most be considered as having given advice, while Lin Xing would be the one who made the final judgment. They didn't want to take the blame, but they wanted all the benefits. If Lin Xing could be fooled by these people, he would have served as the Disciplinary Hall Master for so many years for nothing.

"How about... we leave it at this for today?"

"I have some matters on my peak; excuse me."

"Recently, the demon race has been rampant and seems to be making moves. I need to investigate this matter; excuse me."

"What a waste of my time!"

"If I had known, I wouldn't have come at all."

Figures vanished one after another. In an instant, only Lu Hange and Lu Sheng remained in the great hall.

These elders of the Three Thousand Dao Sect didn't care about Qiu Liu's life or death. They wanted to use this incident to attack Lu Hange, and when they realized this argument was useless, they left without hesitation.

Lu Sheng didn't care about any of that; her mind was solely on Qiu Liu's safety. She immediately wanted to pull Lu Hange to Qiu Liu's cave dwelling.

Lu Hange's eyes showed disgust: "Touch me, and Qiu Liu can just die!"

Instantly, Lu Sheng's suspended hand froze in mid-air.

The next second, Lu Hange's smile returned to his face: "Elder Lu, as a fellow disciple, how could I just watch Junior Sister Qiu Liu suffer from poison? Come on, let's go see her."

Lu Hange walked out of the Disciplinary Hall's main door, with two masses of black mist swirling behind him. Lu Hange paid them no mind. These were the execution guards from the Disciplinary Hall. Their duty was to prevent punished disciples from escaping and ensure that the condemned were sent to their designated place.

Lu Hange was in a good mood. He had successfully built his foundation yesterday. Today, he killed two more people. Double good news! Of course, Lu Hange couldn't just stand by and watch Qiu Liu suffer from poison; he absolutely had to deal with it personally.

Lu Sheng desperately wanted to rush Lu Hange, but he wasn't in a hurry at all. He walked leisurely, like he was taking a post-dinner stroll, stopping and starting, taking two hours to reach Qingyun Peak.

"Liu'er can't hold on much longer."

"Hurry up!" Lu Sheng urged.

Lu Hange glanced at her: "If you're impatient, I'll save myself the trouble and go to Sword Prison right now."

So much nonsense! No wonder Ye Feng loved playing with her mouth in his previous life.

Lu Sheng was seething with anger. Previously, Lu Hange had never even spoken harshly, but now every casual remark was a retort, and she didn't know how to argue back.

Lu Hange "cheh"-ed.

"If you apologize to your master, Qingyun Peak will still accept you."

"You'll definitely regret this one day!" Lu Sheng softened her tone, but her words were filled with disappointment towards Lu Hange.

Regret? Lu Hange nodded. He truly did regret it! Damn it. In his previous life, when he was at the Peak-Grand Ascension stage, even a half-step immortal, why didn't he just smack Lu Sheng to death?! Leaving these people for later, letting them become hidden dangers, was Lu Hange's biggest regret from his last life.

The next second, Lu Hange turned to look at the execution guards. "Let's go, to Sword Prison."

Lu Hange couldn't stand being annoyed by others. If someone annoyed him, his good mood vanished.

The execution guards had no objections. Their mission was to see Lu Hange into Sword Prison. As long as Lu Hange entered Sword Prison today, it was fine, which was why they had quietly followed him without urging him on.

Lu Sheng panicked. Lu Hange couldn't leave! The poison Qiu Liu had contracted was very peculiar; even with her Integration-stage cultivation, Lu Sheng couldn't discern the cause. Only Lu Hange, as an eighth-grade alchemist, had hope of saving Qiu Liu. If Lu Hange truly abandoned his duty, then Qiu Liu would truly be close to death.

Chapter 41: When the Enemy Suffers, I Am Happy

One step, two steps, three steps...

Lu Henge only took three steps!

Lu Sheng was already anxious and said, "Lu Henge, even if you don't consider our relationship, you should consider your relationship with Liu'er. She's been your beloved junior sister for over a decade!"

Lu Henge didn't have a junior sister who was like a female dog.

However.

These words couldn't be said.

The reason Lu Henge walked so slowly was partly to let the poison torment Qiu Liu for a while longer, and partly to gain some benefits from Lu Sheng.

If he remembered correctly, Lu Sheng should have a Heavenly Sweet Grass in her possession.

This medicinal herb was useful to Lu Henge.

"Elder Lu, although Qiu Liu and I are fellow disciples, I currently have no cultivation, and helping people treat illnesses consumes a lot of mental energy. You should at least give me something as a reward," Lu Henge stated his purpose.

"You were the one who poisoned Liu'er," Lu Sheng blurted out.

Lu Henge smiled, "Show me the evidence!"

There was no evidence!

Besides.

If Qiu Liu hadn't gone to the wooden house, nothing would have happened.

Ultimately.

It was Qiu Liu who brought it upon herself.

Lu Sheng hadn't expected Lu Henge to become so pragmatic, completely living like a secular person, but for Qiu Liu's sake, she still asked, "What do you want?"

"Heavenly Sweet Grass."

"Firefloss Rabbit."

"Three pieces of Enlightenment Tea Leaves."

Lu Henge originally only wanted the Heavenly Sweet Grass, but once he started talking, he ended up asking for a whole bunch of things.

But when it came to natural treasures, who would ever think they had too few?!

More was definitely better!

Upon hearing this.

Lu Sheng's expression turned ugly: "You're taking advantage of the situation!"

These three items were each more precious than the last. Heavenly Sweet Grass was one of the main medicinal ingredients for refining Boundary Breaking Pills. With Lu Henge's alchemy techniques, he could refine perfect quality Boundary Breaking Pills, which could forcefully elevate a cultivator's realm by an entire stage. This kind of medicinal herb was rare and hard to come by.

Lu Sheng had also obtained it by chance during an outing, from a secret realm.

No one knew about this!

Even her most beloved Ye Feng and Qiu Liu didn't know about it.

Unexpectedly.

Lu Henge immediately named Heavenly Sweet Grass as soon as he opened his mouth.

Firefloss Rabbit was a relatively special demonic beast. It was extremely sensitive to special fires in the world and was one of the favorite spirit pets of alchemists.

However, the survival rate of Firefloss Rabbit newborns was very low; often, only two or three out of ten thousand Firefloss Rabbit cubs would survive.

In addition.

To raise a Firefloss Rabbit, one needed to feed it spirit stones with extremely high spiritual energy purity every day.

It was too expensive!

Only top sects would have one or two adult Firefloss Rabbits.

If the first two items could be given away with some reluctance, the third item, Enlightenment Tea Leaves, was absolutely impossible to give!

Enlightenment Tea Leaves grew on Enlightenment Trees.

Sprouting in a hundred years.

Growing branches in three hundred years.

Producing leaves in eight hundred years.

One would have to wait for nearly a thousand years to brew a pot of tea with Enlightenment Tea Leaves.

This wasn't even the crucial point!

The crucial point was that too many people were fighting for it.

Not only cultivators at the Foundation Establishment and Golden Core stages, which were relatively low-level, wanted them, but even Body Integration and Mahayana stage powerhouses were interested in Enlightenment Tea Leaves. Whenever the Enlightenment Tree ripened, often high-level cultivators would fight tooth and nail for them, while weaker cultivators would follow behind, hoping to pick up some scraps.

Lu Sheng had painstakingly managed to get three pieces of Enlightenment Tea Leaves from the Sect Master; if she gave them to Lu Henge, what would she use?

Perhaps.

These three pieces of Enlightenment Tea Leaves were her hope for breaking through to the Mahayana stage.

"If you don't want to give them, then don't. I'm not forcing you."

Lu Henge shrugged.

After speaking.

Lu Henge continued to follow the execution guard towards the Sword Prison.

This time.

Lu Sheng endured for a long time.

It wasn't until Lu Henge had walked more than ten steps that she gritted her teeth and squeezed out a sentence: "The Heavenly Sweet Grass and Firefloss Rabbit I can give you, but for the Enlightenment Tea Leaves, I can only give you one piece."

"If you're still not satisfied with this, then I'll go down the mountain and find other alchemists. I don't believe that only you can cure Liu'er's poison!"

Lu Henge stopped and smiled.

It worked!

He hadn't intended to ask for all three pieces of Enlightenment Tea Leaves in the first place.

After all.

Lu Sheng only had three pieces in total.

No matter how much she doted on Qiu Liu, she wouldn't exchange her hope of breaking through to the Mahayana stage.

As long as he could get one piece of Enlightenment Tea Leaf, it would be a huge gain for Lu Henge.

However.

Lu Henge still had to put on a show.

He stood still, silent for a moment, then reluctantly turned around: "One piece it is, then. For old times' sake, one piece is a friendship price."

Lu Henge walked up to Lu Sheng and held out his right hand.

Seeing this.

Lu Sheng knew what he meant.

Lu Henge wanted to get the items first!

Lu Sheng took a deep breath, swiped her storage ring, and a cyan medicinal herb and a seemingly ordinary tea leaf appeared in Lu Henge's palm: "The Firefloss Rabbit is a living creature, it can't be kept in a storage ring. Wait a moment, I'll go back to my cave dwelling to get it for you."

Lu Henge flipped his palm, and the items entered his storage ring: "Don't wait! Go get it now! I know where Qiu Liu's cave dwelling is, you don't need to lead the way."

Lu Sheng clenched her fists tightly.

A few breaths later.

She sighed in defeat: "I'll go get it now."

With that, Lu Sheng disappeared from the spot.

Lu Henge was satisfied. With the Heavenly Sweet Grass, his chances of breaking through to the Golden Core stage from Foundation Establishment increased by at least fifty percent. Originally, with Lu Henge's talent, breaking through to Golden Core would have been easy, but due to the demonic energy, the difficulty increased greatly. To be safe, he still needed the assistance of a Boundary Breaking Pill.

The effect of Enlightenment Tea Leaves was actually similar to that of a meditation cushion; both were ways to help one enter a state of enlightenment during cultivation.

The difference was that a meditation cushion might only induce enlightenment once in ten thousand uses, while drinking Enlightenment Tea would definitely induce a state of complete immersion in enlightenment, and it was generally used for breaking through major realms.

The Firefloss Rabbit was relatively ordinary.

Lu Henge was actually very poor and couldn't afford to raise a money-eating beast like the Firefloss Rabbit.

But in his previous life, Lu Sheng had given the Firefloss Rabbit to Ye Feng, and this Firefloss Rabbit had helped Ye Feng find many good things. With the mindset of enjoying the enemy's suffering, Lu Henge would rather slaughter this Firefloss Rabbit for barbecue than leave it for Ye Feng.

Lu Henge walked slowly.

He was very familiar with Qingyun Peak.

This was where he had lived for more than twenty years; every blade of grass and tree was imprinted in his mind.

Not long after.

Lu Henge arrived outside a cave dwelling.

Birds sang, and spirit beasts frolicked.

Qiu Liu's cave dwelling was the best blessed land on the entire Qingyun Peak in terms of environment. Back then, Lu Henge had painstakingly arranged various spirit gathering formations to slowly transform this place into a spiritual energy treasure trove.

Lu Henge lightly tapped his finger, and the door to Qiu Liu's cave dwelling slowly opened.

Just kidding!

This cave dwelling was built by Lu Henge himself.

Everything here was like his own backyard to Lu Henge; he could enter and leave as he pleased.

Entering the cave dwelling.

Lu Henge was a bit surprised.

He had thought Ye Feng would be guarding Qiu Liu's cave dwelling, but unexpectedly, there was only Qiu Liu inside, lying on the bed, her face a deep black, unconscious.

"Junior Sister."

"Senior Brother is here to send you on your way."

Chapter 42: Tongue Extraction, Heart Digging, Intestine Pulling

Qiu Liu, in her unconscious state, felt a sharp pain throughout her body, even her soul trembled, and she was forced to awaken from her stupor.

The first person she saw upon opening her eyes was a familiar figure.

She thought it was Ye Feng, and subconsciously moved her parched lips, making a hoarse sound: "Junior Brother, I want some water."

"No water."

"But I do have an urgent need to relieve myself. If you really want to drink, I'll make a sacrifice."

The voice was also familiar.

But in an instant.

Qiu Liu's mind focused, and her eyes focused, clearly seeing the person sitting by her bed.

Lu Henge!!

"You poisoned me!"

"Lu Henge, how dare you!"

Qiu Liu struggled to get up and kill Lu Henge. Even though she was heavily poisoned and unable to walk, with her Golden Core stage cultivation, killing a cultivation-less Lu Henge would still be easy.

At least.

In her opinion.

Killing Lu Henge was a very easy matter.

Swish!

A slap landed.

Qiu Liu's slap carried a black poisonous wind, aiming for Lu Henge's face.

The next second.

Lu Henge firmly grasped Qiu Liu's wrist: "Qiu Liu, do you know how much Lu Sheng paid to beg me to save you? If I don't detoxify you, do you think you can survive tonight?"

Lu Henge's smiling expression was very irritating.

Qiu Liu was so enraged that she spat out a large mouthful of blood, which was pitch black and extremely foul-smelling.

Lu Henge loved this kind of helpless rage where you disliked him but couldn't do anything about him.

He finally understood why Ye Feng liked to humiliate him over and over again before killing him in his previous life, because humiliating an enemy felt truly satisfying.

"Where's Master?"

"I want to see Master!!"

Qiu Liu cried out loudly.

Lu Henge waited for her to yell for a while before slowly speaking: "I almost forgot to tell you, the poison in your body is spreading through your meridians. If you move too much or get too emotional, it will accelerate the spread of the toxins. By the time you turn into a complete charcoal, not even gods can save you."

These words immediately scared Qiu Liu into silence.

Facing death.

No one could remain truly calm.

The reason Yao Fan could be at peace with death was partly because he had lived long enough and had lived a full life; and partly because he truly couldn't find a way to continue living, so he had no choice but to let his mind be at peace.

And Qiu Liu?

She wasn't even as old as Lu Henge.

At her age, whether in the secular world or in the cultivation world, she was still in the stage of opening her eyes to the world, so she naturally didn't want to die.

Moreover.

It was just poisoning.

It wasn't a certain death situation; there must be a way to detoxify it.

At this moment.

Qiu Liu's will to survive reached its peak.

"Lu Henge, I'll give you a chance to save me. I can ask Master to let you return to Qingyun Peak, but don't expect me to call you Senior Brother. At most, you'll be an odd-job disciple of Qingyun Peak."

Qiu Liu didn't seem to understand the current situation, but Lu Henge didn't retort. The more arrogant Qiu Liu barked now, the more miserable her death would be later.

"Are you listening to me!"

Qiu Liu wanted to yell again, but the words caught in her throat, forced into a flat, declarative sentence.

Lu Henge busied himself examining the cave dwelling. This cave dwelling was personally built by him, and he had spent a lot of spirit stones and resources to construct it, even transplanting many precious heavenly treasures into it.

But Qiu Liu didn't seem to care.

These transplanted heavenly treasures had basically never been tended to, completely left to grow freely.

Seeing this.

Lu Henge naturally didn't stand on ceremony and started digging.

These were all his things!

Now they were just returning to their rightful owner.

Qiu Liu wriggled anxiously on the bed, but the poison in her body was too strong, leaving her without even the strength to get out of bed: "Lu Henge, how dare you take my things! Those things are all mine!!!!"

"You useless trash, give me back my things!"

"I'm going to make Master severely punish you!"

"You bastard, if Master hadn't kindly brought you back from outside, you would have died on the streets begging!"

...

So noisy.

Lu Henge didn't want to bother.

But upon hearing the word "bastard," Lu Henge clapped his hands, dusting off the dirt, and stood up to walk to the bedside.

Qiu Liu's eyes lit up.

She thought Lu Henge was going to give in.

The next second.

Slap!

Lu Henge flicked his hand.

The feeling was as smooth as ever.

A bright red slap mark appeared on Qiu Liu's cheek.

"You..."

Qiu Liu was stunned and was about to speak.

Slap!!

Another slap!

Lu Henge looked at his work with satisfaction: "I said it when I was in the Prison Hall, slapping someone's face must be symmetrical to look good. If you only slap one side, it affects the aesthetics too much."

Lu Henge looked at the dazed Qiu Liu with a helpless gaze: "I don't expect a good word from a heartless dog like you, but you and I have known each other for twenty years. You clearly know my taboo, yet you still say it. You make Senior Brother very sad."

Qiu Liu was enraged.

Of course.

The price of her anger was that the toxins in her body spread even faster, almost turning her into an African.

"Remember this."

"Don't say that again next time!"

Lu Henge kindly reminded her.

Immediately after.

Lu Henge seemed to think of something and leaned his mouth close to Qiu Liu's ear: "I almost forgot, you won't have a next time."

Before Qiu Liu could speak, Lu Henge directly threw a "Silence Pill" into her mouth. Qiu Liu's throat felt as if it was stuck with filth, and she could only make muffled sounds, unable to utter a complete sentence.

Lu Sheng arrived.

Lu Henge sensed her.

Indeed!

A few breaths later, a figure appeared out of thin air and casually tossed a small red rabbit to Lu Henge: "Here's the Firefloss Rabbit you wanted."

Lu Henge didn't even look at it and directly put it into his storage ring.

Seeing this.

Lu Sheng couldn't help but remind him: "Firefloss Rabbits are living creatures; they won't survive long in a storage ring."

Nonsense!

Of course, Lu Henge knew that.

He never intended for this Firefloss Rabbit to live. Once it died in the storage ring, he would just make a spicy rabbit dish.

"Are you going to watch?"

Lu Henge asked.

Lu Sheng wanted to watch.

She was a bit uneasy leaving Lu Henge and Qiu Liu alone in a small space, especially since the current Lu Henge felt very unfamiliar to her, so she had to be wary.

Lu Henge, while helping Qiu Liu lie down on the bed, casually said, "I have no cultivation now, and treating illnesses and dispelling poison requires my full concentration. Don't make a sound, or if I get distracted, don't blame me for the consequences."

Upon hearing this.

Lu Sheng's eyes struggled.

"I'll wait outside."

Lu Sheng's figure disappeared.

Lu Henge took out the Xuantian Treasure Map and isolated the entire cave dwelling from the outside world. No matter what happened inside, Lu Sheng outside would not be able to detect it.

Then.

Lu Henge took out a pill, and faintly, three small worms could be seen crawling inside the pill.

"In the secular world, in the strange folk tales of mortals, there's a fantasy about becoming an immortal. For a person to become an immortal, they need to go through three lives and three hells: tongue extraction, heart digging, and intestine pulling."

"I think this idea is quite good."

"But since no one has tried it yet, I'll have to trouble you."

Under Qiu Liu's horrified gaze, Lu Henge put the pill into her mouth, raised her chin, and the pill slid down her throat.

Chapter 43: Entering the Sword Prison

Yao Fan's premonition was very accurate!

In the future, Lu Henge indeed became a ninth-grade alchemist.

In his previous life.

Lu Henge later focused his energy on cultivation, which delayed his alchemy. Even so, Lu Henge still became a ninth-grade alchemist.

As a ninth-grade alchemist, Lu Henge created many new pill formulas.

And this "Three Worms Three Hells Pill" was one of the most vicious among Lu Henge's many formulas.

Of course.

This pill had not been tested before.

So Lu Henge was not clear about the specific effects of the pill, but according to his estimation, after the medicine took effect, the person who took the pill would die miserably within a month.

The first ten days.

Excruciating tongue pain.

Only by cutting off one's own tongue would the pain dissipate.

The twentieth day.

All spiritual energy would be unable to gather, the lower abdomen would churn like raging waves, and the intestines would feel like they were tied in knots. Only by cutting open the belly and pulling out the intestines would the pain disappear.

At the end of the month.

Meridians would atrophy, blood would dry up like a parched well.

Each heartbeat would no longer pump out blood, but putrid, rotten flesh, causing bone-deep pain. Only by digging out the heart would it cease.

But again.

Qiu Liu was the first person to take this pill.

So.

Lu Henge could not guarantee the exact efficacy.

To be on the safe side, Lu Henge's fingers surged with demonic energy, and the aura of Foundation Establishment was fully displayed. Qiu Liu, lying on the bed, couldn't speak, her eyes filled with horror, as if she was looking at a monster.

Lu Henge still had cultivation!

He wasn't a cripple!

Moreover, there were no spiritual energy fluctuations on him; it was actually demonic energy.

A strong desire to live made Qiu Liu's lips tremble, and she stammered out an incoherent sentence: "Senior Brother, spare me, I won't dare again."

Lu Henge ignored her.

The repentance of the dead was worthless.

Demonic energy transformed into sword qi.

Even without comprehending the true meaning of the sword heart, Lu Henge still grasped a bit of sword qi based on his sword dao experience from his previous life.

The sword qi drilled into Qiu Liu's body and did not immediately act up, but quietly lay dormant. A month later, if Qiu Liu did not die from the pill, then these sword qi would be Lu Henge's contingency, a killing blow.

Having done everything.

Lu Henge smiled with satisfaction.

"Qiu Liu."

"You won't be lonely on the road to the Yellow Springs; more and more people will go to accompany you."

Lu Henge symbolically took out a pill to enhance qi and blood and gave it to Qiu Liu. The black aura on Qiu Liu's face dissipated a lot, and her complexion became much rosier.

At first glance.

It really looked like she had recovered.

But in reality.

Within three days.

Qiu Liu's physical condition would be worse than before.

"Senior Brother, spare me."

"I was really wrong."

"I'll never slander you again."

Qiu Liu now felt no discomfort in her body, but she clearly understood Lu Henge's ability as an eighth-grade alchemist. Winning Lu Henge's sympathy was more important than anything else now.

After all.

She wanted to live.

Lu Henge was stunned for a moment.

Saying nothing was fine!

But mentioning that, Lu Henge became even angrier in his heart and pulled out another poisonous pill to feed Qiu Liu.

"You don't know you were wrong; you're just afraid to die."

"There's nothing to be afraid of in death."

"I'll give you a suggestion: if the pain is truly unbearable, then commit suicide."

Lu Henge gently covered Qiu Liu with the quilt and then completely severed Qiu Liu's throat with demonic energy, making her unable to even whimper.

Mission accomplished!

Lu Henge withdrew the Xuantian Treasure Map and swaggered out of the cave dwelling.

Outside.

Lu Sheng was waiting anxiously.

The moment she saw Lu Henge walk out, Lu Sheng immediately stood up: "How's Liu'er?"

"She's fine now."

"She just lost too much qi and blood; she needs a good few days of rest."

Lu Henge lied without blinking.

Lu Sheng didn't hesitate and rushed into the cave dwelling. At a glance, she saw Qiu Liu, who had a rosy complexion and was in a deep sleep, looking as if she had simply fallen asleep.

Lu Sheng used her spiritual energy to probe Qiu Liu's body. A moment later, she frowned slightly: "Why is there still poison in Liu'er's body?"

Lu Henge said naturally, "I have no cultivation; removing most of the poison was already my limit. The remaining poison isn't much; she can slowly recuperate on her own."

Upon hearing this.

Lu Sheng no longer doubted.

Lu Henge's words were logical and well-reasoned, and besides, her examination showed that not much poison remained in Qiu Liu's body.

Lu Henge wasn't worried about being exposed at all.

He dared to do this because he had confidence.

Indeed!

Lu Sheng didn't notice.

Lu Henge looked at the execution guards waiting outside: "Let's go, we're going to the Sword Prison now."

Lu Sheng's expression was complex: "Since you cured Liu'er, I can plead for you and exempt you from the Sword Prison punishment."

Lu Henge ignored her and walked out.

Seeing this.

Lu Sheng snorted and said no more.

After Lu Henge spent some time in the Sword Prison, she would visit him there. She thought Lu Henge would surely regret it by then, and when she brought him out of the Sword Prison, Lu Henge would undoubtedly be extremely grateful.

In Lu Sheng's eyes, the reason Lu Henge was so disobedient was that he hadn't suffered enough.

Little did she know.

Lu Henge had suffered more than even her little Ye Feng.

Lu Henge wanted to leave quickly.

He wasn't sure when the "Three Worms Three Hells Pill" would take effect, so while Qiu Liu was still somewhat normal, he would enter the Sword Prison and lay low.

Deep within the Sword Prison.

Even Mahayana stage powerhouses dared not enter casually.

The key was.

Lu Henge also had the Sword Prison token.

Sneaking out of the Sword Prison to kill a few people and then returning to the Sword Prison when he was bored, just thinking about such a life made him happy.

Thinking of this.

Lu Henge quickened his pace.

Behind him.

The two execution guards were particularly puzzled; why did Lu Henge seem so eager to enter the Sword Prison?

Before nightfall, Lu Henge finally arrived at the outer perimeter of the Sword Prison. Rows of cenotaphs were neatly arranged, with a sword插 (stuck) into each grave mound. The wind whistled, making the rusty swords clink.

Ten thousand years ago.

The Three Thousand Dao Sect had not yet been established.

This place was the stronghold of another sect.

Lu Henge didn't know much about this sect.

But this sect was not destroyed by the Three Thousand Dao Sect; rather, some terrifying force had flattened the entire sect overnight, and no one survived.

After this sect was destroyed, this place became ownerless.

Later.

The Three Thousand Dao Sect took over.

After tens of thousands of years of development, the Sword Prison became the most effective tool in the hands of the Prison Hall for punishing offenders. Disciples of the Three Thousand Dao Sect, hearing the words "Sword Prison," would tremble with fear.

"Holy Son, go in."

The execution guard said in a muffled voice.

Lu Henge stepped inside.

Along the way.

The wind howled ominously, and in the whimpering wind, countless people seemed to be whispering.

The two execution guards watched Lu Henge enter the Sword Prison and did not leave, but directly settled down outside the Sword Prison.

Lu Henge had the Sword Prison token.

They guarded outside to prevent Lu Henge from secretly sneaking out with the token.

"Finally, I'm in."

Lu Henge opened his hands, feeling the familiar sword wind.

If he walked further inside, the sword wind in the air would disappear, replaced by biting sword qi, and the further he went, the denser and more powerful the sword qi would become.

In his previous life.

Lu Henge knew nothing about the sword dao.

During the hundred years he was imprisoned in the Sword Prison, he forged a sword bone and copper skin, molded a sword bone body, and even comprehended the true meaning of the sword heart.

In this life.

Lu Henge would go even further in the sword dao.

Chapter 44: A Difficult Choice

The Three Thousand Dao Sect, a storm is brewing.

On the surface.

The Three Thousand Dao Sect was the leader of the immortal dao, with extraordinary sect strength and even a Mahayana stage peak powerhouse within its ranks.

But in reality.

The roots of the Three Thousand Dao Sect were completely rotten.

This was also why the demon race dared to choose this time to attack the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

The Three Thousand Dao Sect, from elders to disciples, was influenced by a selfish atmosphere. They prioritized their own interests rather than the gains and losses of the sect.

Such a sect would not last long.

Even without external interference, it would fall apart in a few decades.

"Let me think."

"Soon after I was imprisoned in the Sword Prison in my previous life, a major event occurred in the Three Thousand Dao Sect."

"The demon race quietly invaded and almost wiped out the Three Thousand Dao Sect. If the Sect Master hadn't ended his seclusion and chosen to come out, the Three Thousand Dao Sect would probably have become history long ago."

Lu Henge didn't delve too deeply.

He was only at the Foundation Establishment stage now.

The outer sword wind had no effect on him, but to forge a sword bone and copper skin, he needed to actively enter the sword qi to temper his body.

In his previous life.

The Three Thousand Dao Sect had undergone many drastic changes within a hundred years.

The first change was the demon race invasion.

Lu Henge was imprisoned in the Sword Prison and didn't know much about this matter. Later, after coming out of the Sword Prison, he didn't pay too much attention to this past event. After all, by the time he left the Sword Prison, the demon race invasion had already passed several decades ago.

Since the Three Thousand Dao Sect still existed, it meant the demon race invasion had failed.

However.

When he came out of the Sword Prison in his previous life, Lu Henge could clearly feel that the Three Thousand Dao Sect had lost many people, and the once bustling peaks and halls had become much desolate and lonely.

There was also another thing.

That was the Sect Master's demise.

This was the most fatal blow to the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

Within a hundred years.

Two major powerhouses in the sect passed away one after another.

Yao Fan's death was very sudden; no one in the sect had expected it. However, the Sect Master's death had a premonition: the demon race invaded, and the Sect Master forcefully ended his seclusion early to resolve the situation, thus suffering injuries. Such a life-or-death breakthrough being interrupted basically meant there was no way to survive.

Unless one became an immortal!

But the Heavenly Dao of this world would not allow anyone other than Ye Feng to become an immortal.

After the Sect Master's demise, the Three Thousand Dao Sect naturally lost its position as the leader of the immortal dao.

Measuring the strength of a sect was not by how many disciples it had, but by who had the highest cultivation level in the sect and how many such individuals there were.

The weak could be mass-produced.

But the strong could not.

Before the Sect Master's demise, the Three Thousand Dao Sect was the only immortal sect that possessed a Mahayana stage peak cultivator. The gap between the Three Thousand Dao Sect and other immortal sects was single-handedly created by the Sect Master. Without the Sect Master, the Three Thousand Dao Sect would at most be considered a first-rate immortal sect.

Although the demon race invasion did not physically wipe out the Three Thousand Dao Sect, it was actually not much different from having destroyed it.

From this perspective.

The demon race invasion was successful.

However.

This had little to do with Lu Henge.

He just needed to cultivate in peace.

In his previous life, the outside world was in chaos and turmoil, but Lu Henge, who was imprisoned in the Sword Prison, was not affected at all. He didn't even know about the demon race invasion until he came out of the Sword Prison a hundred years later.

"Counting the time."

"It should be soon."

Suddenly.

Lu Henge thought of something.

No!

This time, he wanted to get involved in the demon race invasion.

If he remembered correctly, in his previous life, the Three Thousand Dao Sect suffered many deaths and injuries, but only Ye Feng benefited from this great change, with his cultivation advancing by leaps and bounds. It was likely that this demon race invasion brought many good things, and all of them went into Ye Feng's pockets.

These were all opportunities.

Lu Henge naturally couldn't let them go.

He was also a demon cultivator now.

Many treasures of the demon race were also great tonics for Lu Henge. He could both seize Ye Feng's opportunities and enhance his own strength, killing two birds with one stone.

Lu Henge sat cross-legged and began to cultivate with his eyes closed.

There was no shortcut to sword bone and copper skin.

In a sense.

Sword bone and copper skin was also a form of body tempering.

Since it was body tempering, the process was definitely extremely tormenting and painful. The sword qi scraped across Lu Henge's body, instantly bringing up bits of flesh, and some sword qi even scraped against his bones, shaving off bone fragments.

Lu Henge merely frowned slightly, with no other reaction.

These pains were insignificant!

...

Inside the cave dwelling.

"Young Master Moke."

"You and I are bosom friends, we've hunted together, tasted tea together, drunk wine together, and slept with chickens together."

Ye Feng's mouth chattered on and on.

In mid-air.

A phantom looked quite helpless.

"Brother Ye Feng, she's my second mother."

"Although my father has abstained from female company for many years, her seniority is there, so I can't say much."

This phantom was the Young Master of the demon race, Moke.

Moke sighed.

Ye Feng's demonic heart was snatched by the demon fox, and he came to him to complain. There was nothing he could do.

If it were other demon cultivators, Moke would only need to say a word, and the demonic heart would return to Ye Feng's hands. But the one who snatched it was the demon fox, his unreliable Emperor Father's concubine.

Even if he were bolder, he wouldn't dare to ask the demon fox for anything.

Ye Feng was a bit frustrated.

He relied on the demonic heart for cultivation. Now that it was gone, how would he cultivate?

Seeing this.

Moke comforted him: "You'll find an opportunity to leave the Three Thousand Dao Sect later, and I'll send someone to give you another demonic heart."

The demonic heart was very precious to ordinary demon cultivators.

But to the Young Master of the demon race, it was just a matter of taking another one from the demon race's treasury.

Upon hearing this.

Ye Feng's anxious heart finally calmed down.

"I contacted you today, Brother Ye, because I have a favor to ask."

Moke spoke.

Ye Feng unhesitatingly replied, "I will do my best."

"To be frank, our demon race has gradually infiltrated the Three Thousand Dao Sect and plans to launch a surprise attack soon. However, the Three Thousand Dao Sect's protective formation is truly a headache; we need someone to help disable it."

Originally, this task would not have fallen to Ye Feng.

After all.

There were also chess pieces arranged by the demon race among the higher echelons of the Three Thousand Dao Sect; the person chosen to disable the protective formation could have been someone else.

But who would have thought that the demon from the demon race had secretly gone to the Dao Spreading Town at the foot of the Three Thousand Dao Sect and even ignored the Emperor's summons, completely disrupting the demon race's plan.

After hesitation.

Moke decided to use Ye Feng as a chess piece.

The reason he didn't choose to use the chess pieces among the Three Thousand Dao Sect's higher echelons was mainly to consider the possibility of reinforcements from other immortal sects. In case they couldn't completely destroy the Three Thousand Dao Sect in one go, they could at least leave their own people to continue monitoring the Three Thousand Dao Sect's every move.

In Moke's heart, Ye Feng was never considered one of their own.

The demon race never made friends with the human race.

Ye Feng had utilitarian value.

This was the reason why Moke was willing to lower his stance and talk to Ye Feng in a polite manner.

Ye Feng frowned slightly.

"Investigating this matter might expose me, won't it?"

If the demon race destroyed the Three Thousand Dao Sect, that would be fine; then no one would investigate. But if they failed to destroy the Three Thousand Dao Sect and left it with a breath, then he would definitely be investigated afterward. Once exposed, at best he would be imprisoned in the Sword Prison, and at worst, he would be annihilated.

Damn it!

Ye Feng's face was grim.

It seemed that no matter which choice he made, it wouldn't be good for him.

Chapter 45: Change of Plans! Infiltrating the Depths of the Sword Prison!

Ye Feng wanted to shamelessly say: Give me some face, let's just forget about this surprise attack.

But seeing Moke's face, he swallowed his saliva and awkwardly chuckled: "Since Young Master Moke has spoken, I naturally cannot refuse, I will definitely do my best."

Moke showed a friendly smile: "Then I'll leave it to you, Brother Ye Feng. Afterwards, besides the Demonic Heart, I'll give you another great gift."

Upon hearing this.

Ye Feng's anxious heart finally settled a little.

The phantom dissipated.

Ye Feng sat on the stool, his eyes flickering, lost in thought.

On the other side.

Thousands of miles away in the demon race territory.

Inside a palace.

Moke leaned back on the throne, his fingers lightly tapping the armrest of the throne.

"Young Master."

A clear, cold voice sounded.

Moke slowly opened his eyes, and a graceful figure in a black form-fitting dress came into view. This woman wore a specially made mask that covered the left half of her face. Judging only by her right face, she was cold yet alluring, truly stunning.

"What is it?"

Moke's expression was indifferent.

The woman lowered her head slightly: "This surprise attack, the Emperor has put Mo Yan in charge."

Moke sneered: "It seems my bastard younger brother is very good at pleasing father. Even such an important matter is entrusted to him. What value do I, the Young Master, still have?!"

The woman did not answer.

This was a matter concerning the demon royal family.

As a mere attendant and guard, she only needed to report information and did not need to express any opinions.

"Why aren't you speaking?"

Moke's eyes flickered with anger.

He needed a subordinate who would echo his emotions, not a cold, lifeless person who couldn't even smile.

The woman was about to speak when Moke flashed in front of her, clutching her chin and forcing her to look up: "Diji, as Father's child, have you always resented me in your heart?"

"Why can I, Moke, be the Young Master of the demon race?"

"Why can Mo Yan, that bastard, receive Father's favor?"

"And you, also Father's child, can't even use the Mo surname and can only follow your mother's surname."

"You hate me."

"It was I who took you from Father's side to be a maid."

Moke leaned his face close to Diji's, their faces separated by only a finger. The fragrance on Diji's body made Moke somewhat intoxicated. The demon race didn't care about ethics or morals; as long as Moke wished, Diji could be his sister, his maid, or even his woman.

Diji's eyes were calm, without the slightest fluctuation.

Seeing this.

Moke grew even angrier: "I told you to speak!!"

"No hatred."

Diji spoke.

Diji didn't hate anyone; she only hated her own lack of strength. In this demon race, where strength was respected, she could only be a maid and couldn't have any other identity.

Hearing this answer, Moke was silent for a moment, then slowly released his hand: "The day I become the Demon Emperor, I want you and your mother to attend to me together. Remember! Both you and your mother together!!"

Diji rarely smiled: "Young Master, why don't you want me now?"

Moke didn't answer and strode out of the palace.

Diji watched Moke leave, and then she was the only one left in the palace.

The next second.

Diji revealed a sarcastic smile.

Moke didn't dare to take her!

As the only existing Innate Poison Body, Diji's entire body was filled with potent toxins. Let alone intimate contact, even getting slightly close would immediately result in being poisoned.

At this moment.

Moke should have already been poisoned.

If one wanted to frolic in bed with an Innate Poison Body, they first needed to consider if their fate was strong enough.

Diji's gaze pierced through the palace, looking into the distance. Thousands of miles away in that direction was the location of the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

"Rumor has it that the Three Thousand Dao Sect has countless ancient texts."

"There must be records of how to suppress the Innate Poison Body."

She wanted to become stronger.

But the Innate Poison Body not only hindered her cultivation but also made her experience the pain of ten thousand poisons gnawing at her body every month.

To climb higher and higher, even to the highest Mahayana stage, she had to learn to control the Innate Poison Body and turn this potent poison into a weapon she could utilize, rather than a torture.

The next second.

Diji's figure transformed into a wisp of black smoke.

She wasn't on the list for this surprise attack on the Three Thousand Dao Sect, but she was going secretly.

...

"The outer sword qi is too weak."

Lu Henge opened his eyes.

He had now cultivated sword qi, which meant he had one foot in the door of the sword dao. To forge sword bone and copper skin, he needed more intense sword qi.

Continuing to stay at the outer perimeter of the sword qi was a waste of time for Lu Henge.

"Go further in!"

Lu Henge did not hesitate and stood up, continuing to walk inward.

The sword qi in the world grew more and more intense.

A moment later.

Lu Henge could no longer feel the air flowing around him. The sword qi was dense, filling this space.

Lu Henge looked down at his body.

The power and quantity of the sword qi had become extremely terrifying. As it scraped across his body, pieces of flesh fell off, only to be pulverized the next second. The wounds were bone-deep, and the sword qi even left clear cut marks on his bones.

He couldn't go any further.

Any further, and his body wouldn't be able to withstand it.

Then.

Lu Henge took out a large pile of flesh-regenerating and bone-healing pills from his storage ring and swallowed them like candy.

The flesh scraped off his body by the sword qi was immediately replenished by these pills.

This was the advantage of being an alchemist.

Other cultivators could only endure for a while, retreat to heal, and then come back to endure for a while after their injuries healed, repeating this cycle.

But alchemists could cheat by consuming various pills.

Just as Lu Henge was about to enter a state of enlightenment to cultivate, the ground shook violently, and the surrounding sword qi suddenly weakened significantly. In the distance, white silver light flashed in the sky, occasionally accompanied by towering murderous auras piercing through heaven and earth.

Lu Henge stood up and pondered: "These two fluctuations are at least from the Mahayana stage, and they don't belong to the same person."

It seemed.

Someone seemed to be fighting deep within the Sword Prison.

Lu Henge pondered for a moment, then demonic energy surged through his body, and his figure flickered, heading towards the depths of the Sword Prison.

Now was a good opportunity!

There were powerful figures fighting deep within the Sword Prison, and the leaked auras indirectly weakened the power of the sword qi. As long as Lu Henge was careful, he could completely pass through the sword qi region and directly reach the depths of the Sword Prison.

In his plan, he was supposed to first cultivate sword bone and copper skin and a sword bone body in the sword qi region, and then delve deeper into the Sword Prison to comprehend the true meaning of the sword heart. Most importantly, he had to get that sword.

This would take a lot of time.

But it was the only way.

Now the situation had changed.

The power of the sword qi was greatly reduced.

Lu Henge estimated that if he pushed his demonic energy to the extreme, coupled with the enhancement of the Demonic Heart and the "Immortal Gazing Scripture," and then took a few precious pills, there was a high possibility of passing through the sword qi region.

Lu Henge lacked nothing but pills, and he had an astonishing amount of them.

It should be known.

Besides the pills he refined himself, there were also the pills in Yao Fan's storage ring.

Combined, they could be said to be a mountain of pills...

The plan had to be slightly modified.

First, enter the depths of the Sword Prison and retrieve that sword!

Chapter 46: Following a Stalker

Deep within the Sword Prison.

There was no sword aura here.

Nor was there sword wind.

Countless mountains were torn into bottomless ravines by terrifying sword intent. The sky above was covered by thick black clouds, allowing no light to penetrate.

Suddenly.

Demonic energy surged!

Demonic energy welled up from the ravines, like a volcanic eruption, vast and endless.

When the demonic energy gathered to a certain extent, a pale hand gently beckoned, and the endless demonic energy began to rampage, completely crushing the sword intent in this place.

This entire world!

Was controlled by demonic energy!

"Jian Tongming."

"Look at you now, why are you like a dog?"

The pale hand gently clenched.

Beneath the demonic energy.

A handsome and robust face was revealed. At first glance, this person seemed to be around Lu Henge's age, but in reality, he had already surpassed ten thousand years of lifespan, even longer than the founding of the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

At this moment.

This "young man" had an old body under his feet.

The old man's gray daoist robe was tattered, and the sword intent around him was tightly suppressed by demonic energy, unable to exert even a fraction of its power.

"I regret it deeply, I regret not killing you."

The old man spat out a mouthful of blood.

His eyes were filled with endless regret.

This old man was a Sword Cultivator of the Three Thousand Dao Sect, Jian Tongming.

He was also the only Mahayana stage Sword Cultivator in the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

His strength was naturally extraordinary, and he was even a true old monster who had lived for over ten thousand years.

However.

Even such a figure was now trampled underfoot by someone.

This man was the Demon Emperor.

A true Demon Emperor who had once reigned supreme.

Unfortunately.

He was now in a rather miserable state, only a wisp of his soul remaining, unable to even exert a tenth of his peak strength.

Otherwise.

He wouldn't have been in such a sorry state, needing to find the Immortal Cauldron to reconstruct his body and return to the Immortal Realm.

The Demon Emperor stretched out his hand and casually tore off Jian Tongming's arm: "Old thing, where is the Immortal Cauldron?"

"The Immortal Cauldron is one of the three great treasures of the Immortal Realm. How could it be in your Three Thousand Dao Sect?!" Jian Tongming roared.

He understood.

The Demon Emperor was after the Immortal Cauldron!

"Don't deny it too quickly."

"When the Immortal Cauldron shattered and fell, it was split into three parts, and one of them fell into your Three Thousand Dao Sect."

The Demon Emperor's eyes narrowed.

The Immortal Cauldron was the key to his return to the Immortal Realm.

Without the Immortal Cauldron, he might never be able to return to the Immortal Realm in his lifetime.

"The Immortal Cauldron is the Immortal Realm's treasure."

"Even if it were to fall into the Human Realm, it would only be in the Sword Tomb in the Sword Prison."

"You want to get the Immortal Cauldron? That's impossible!"

"The Sword Tomb is extremely dangerous; even I dare not enter it lightly."

Jian Tongming didn't seem to have a strong will to live. He had lived long enough.

For thousands of years, he had been struggling in the Mahayana stage, unable to make any progress.

In the past.

He had some hope.

Because at that time, his senior brother was still alive.

His senior brother was a peerless genius.

Not only had he reached the Mahayana stage at a young age, but he was also a strong candidate to become the Sect Master.

But unexpectedly.

His senior brother fell when he was supposed to undergo tribulation.

Jian Tongming still remembered the despair in his heart that day.

Perhaps, this was the fate of the human race.

The cultivators of the Human Realm were all pitiful people living under the Heavenly Dao.

The Heavenly Dao controlled all living beings, and only those who gained the favor of the Heavenly Dao could break through the shackles and enter the Immortal Realm.

Those who did not gain the favor of the Heavenly Dao would ultimately fall after reaching the Mahayana stage, or perish in tribulation.

"Jian Tongming, are you mocking me?"

"You think I don't know that the Immortal Cauldron might be in the Sword Tomb?"

The Demon Emperor sneered, then his expression changed. He sensed that someone was approaching from afar.

And this aura...

"Interesting."

"This aura, it smells like a demon cultivator."

"But also a human cultivator."

A human demon cultivator!

The Demon Emperor suddenly thought of the Demon Heart he had implanted in Lu Henge.

And the Immortal-Demon Body.

Could it be Lu Henge?

He had fallen, but his senses were still very keen.

The Demon Emperor didn't use his divine sense to investigate. The Sword Prison was special, and even with his current strength, he could only sense vague auras, not details.

"Old thing, it seems you won't give up until you taste pain!"

The Demon Emperor squeezed his hand again.

Jian Tongming felt a surge of pain throughout his body, and blood spurted from his mouth.

"I won't tell you, even if I die!"

Jian Tongming said with great determination.

This was his last act of defiance towards the Demon Emperor, and his last responsibility as a disciple of the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

"Stubborn!"

The Demon Emperor wanted to make a move to truly kill Jian Tongming, but he paused. He was a wisp of a soul, and every action consumed a lot of demonic energy.

It was better to leave this old thing alive for a while, and then kill him later.

At the same time.

Lu Henge had arrived near the battlefield.

He saw the Demon Emperor!

"What a monster!"

Lu Henge was extremely shocked in his heart.

He felt that he had been reborn, and his luck was already very good.

But compared to the Demon Emperor, it was nothing.

This Demon Emperor had a single wisp of soul, but he could actually display such terrifying power.

Lu Henge estimated that if the Demon Emperor fully recovered, he might be able to easily level the entire Three Thousand Dao Sect with a single blow.

And under the Demon Emperor's feet.

Lu Henge also recognized Jian Tongming.

The Mahayana stage Sword Cultivator of the Three Thousand Dao Sect, who was also the strongest among the Three Thousand Dao Sect's Sword Cultivators.

"To save him or not to save him?"

Lu Henge was a bit conflicted.

If he saved Jian Tongming, he would naturally gain a lot of favorability from Jian Tongming, and this would also allow Lu Henge to gain a strong backer in the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

But the price was too high!

The Demon Emperor was an ancient figure, and even with only a wisp of his soul remaining, he was still terrifying.

It was possible to save him.

But it would require Lu Henge to use up all his trump cards, and even then, he might not succeed.

And the Demon Emperor wouldn't let Lu Henge go either!

He was very interested in the Immortal Cauldron. If he were to fight the Demon Emperor, he would definitely expose the secret of his dual cultivation of immortal and demonic energy.

Even if he saved Jian Tongming, he would be hunted down by the entire demon race in the future.

This was not a worthwhile deal.

Lu Henge frowned.

He had cultivated his Immortal-Demon Body for a short time, and he had not yet understood the true meaning of it, so he couldn't display the full power of the Immortal-Demon Body.

Forget it!

He wouldn't save him for now.

Lu Henge quietly prepared to leave.

But at this moment.

The Demon Emperor suddenly looked in Lu Henge's direction, his eyes slightly surprised: "Kid, since you're here, why are you leaving in a hurry?"

Lu Henge's heart instantly chilled.

He was discovered!

What terrifying perception!

Lu Henge didn't dare to hesitate, his figure flickered, and he flew away like lightning.

"Interesting."

"This kid actually has the Demon Heart, and the Immortal-Demon Body is actually quite compatible with him."

The Demon Emperor smiled.

He was not in a hurry to chase after him.

The Demon Emperor knew that Lu Henge couldn't escape.

No matter how fast Lu Henge was, how could he outrun a Mahayana stage powerhouse?

Even if it was just a wisp of a soul, it was still a Mahayana stage powerhouse!

The Demon Emperor had some expectations in his heart.

He could actually give the Immortal Cauldron to Lu Henge.

The Immortal Cauldron was the key to his return to the Immortal Realm, but it also required him to fuse his entire body with the Immortal Cauldron. This process required a human physique, and he didn't have one.

So he still needed a human, or a half-human, to help him.

The Immortal-Demon Body.

This was a good choice!

Chapter 47: Fighting the Mahayana Stage

"Kid, don't run."

"If you don't run, I'll even give you a great fortune."

The Demon Emperor's voice was very calm.

But this kind of calmness.

To Lu Henge, it was a terrifying devil's whisper.

He knew that the Demon Emperor had already taken a liking to his Immortal-Demon Body.

Lu Henge didn't hesitate and directly consumed a "Ten Thousand Mile God-Traveling Pill."

In an instant.

Lu Henge's speed increased by a hundredfold.

The ten thousand-mile distance was instantly covered.

But the Demon Emperor's voice still seemed to be right by his ear: "Kid, you're running quite fast. If you were in my era, you'd be a great genius."

The Demon Emperor was leisurely walking, but he was always behind Lu Henge, maintaining a constant distance.

It was like a cat playing with a mouse.

"Damn it!"

Lu Henge was extremely annoyed.

He had now reached the limits of his speed.

But still, he couldn't shake off the Demon Emperor.

Lu Henge suddenly stopped.

"You're not going to run anymore?"

The Demon Emperor appeared in front of Lu Henge, his eyes filled with interest.

"Give up?"

"Don't even think about it!"

Lu Henge's hands rapidly formed seals, and with a single thought, the Xuantian Treasure Map instantly soared into the sky, transforming into a huge golden array that enveloped the Demon Emperor.

"Formation?"

The Demon Emperor was slightly surprised.

In the Human Realm, there were still people who understood formations.

He had learned a few things about formations in his previous life, but he was not very proficient.

But the Xuantian Treasure Map was a treasure, capable of dealing with the Demon Emperor.

The Demon Emperor's current strength was only one-tenth of his peak. Even so, he was still an ancient powerhouse. Lu Henge's current cultivation was only at the Foundation Establishment stage, and there was a huge gap between them.

The Xuantian Treasure Map could only trap the Demon Emperor for a short time, giving Lu Henge a chance to escape.

"Damn it! How could I have forgotten that he is also proficient in formations!" The Demon Emperor was slightly annoyed.

If he was in his peak state, he could destroy this formation with a single thought.

But now...

"This formation is truly extraordinary."

"Kid, you're quite capable."

The Demon Emperor slowly cracked a smile.

It was no wonder that Lu Henge had been able to resist the demonic energy he had forcefully instilled.

With such a treasure, he would naturally be able to resist.

In the Xuantian Treasure Map.

A small sword slowly materialized.

The small sword instantly transformed into a giant sword.

The Demon Emperor's eyes narrowed.

"This is not a formation that merely traps people; it also has offensive capabilities!"

The Demon Emperor seemed to understand something.

He didn't hesitate and directly struck out with his palm.

In an instant, the demonic energy soared into the sky, forming a huge palm print that smashed onto the small sword.

Bang!

The small sword shattered, and the Demon Emperor's palm print was also torn apart.

"This formation has a spirit."

The Demon Emperor's eyes finally showed a hint of seriousness.

The Xuantian Treasure Map was generally used to help Lu Henge fight during his Foundation Establishment stage.

But this was only the tip of the iceberg of the Xuantian Treasure Map's power.

The Xuantian Treasure Map could also evolve on its own, and with each evolution, its power would become stronger.

It could even derive its own spirit.

However.

After the Demonic Heart, Lu Henge didn't have much energy to spare for the Xuantian Treasure Map.

He only gave it a small part of his origin energy for it to slowly absorb.

The Demon Emperor had now consumed a lot of demonic energy, and he couldn't completely break through the Xuantian Treasure Map in a short time.

This was also because the Sword Prison had too much spiritual energy and sword qi, which further increased the power of the Xuantian Treasure Map.

Lu Henge didn't hesitate and immediately took out a few more "Ten Thousand Mile God-Traveling Pills" and swallowed them.

The pills melted in his mouth, turning into streams of spiritual energy that flowed into his meridians, and then into his dantian.

Lu Henge disappeared from the spot in an instant.

"Want to run?"

"I won't let you!"

The Demon Emperor sneered.

The Xuantian Treasure Map was indeed a good treasure, but it couldn't stop him.

A terrifying aura erupted from the Demon Emperor's body, and the Xuantian Treasure Map instantly trembled violently.

Then.

A figure appeared in the Xuantian Treasure Map.

His body was covered in cracks, and he was obviously severely injured.

He was the spirit of the Xuantian Treasure Map.

"Give up."

"You can't escape."

The Demon Emperor said.

The spirit of the Xuantian Treasure Map didn't speak, but its eyes were firm. It seemed to have no intention of giving up.

It had protected Lu Henge for many years.

Even though it didn't like Lu Henge much, it would not give up.

Bang!

The spirit of the Xuantian Treasure Map instantly transformed into a golden light, rushing towards the Demon Emperor, and then exploded.

The Demon Emperor's expression changed dramatically.

"You're crazy!"

"This is your original spirit! If it shatters, you will die!"

The Demon Emperor's figure instantly shattered, and he was forced to step back a few hundred feet.

The Xuantian Treasure Map's spirit dissipated, and the huge golden array also disappeared.

Lu Henge, who was running away, was startled.

He sensed that the spirit of the Xuantian Treasure Map had shattered.

"Damn it!"

Lu Henge stopped.

He had promised to let the Xuantian Treasure Map develop naturally.

But now...

Lu Henge immediately returned to the place where the Xuantian Treasure Map had exploded.

The Demon Emperor was still there, but his face was now extremely pale.

The explosion of the Xuantian Treasure Map's spirit had seriously injured him.

"You're courting death."

The Demon Emperor said coldly.

He no longer played cat and mouse. He was going to kill Lu Henge now!

Lu Henge didn't speak.

He took out a pill.

It was an immortal-grade pill.

This was the first time Lu Henge had taken such a pill.

It was left behind by his master in his previous life.

He originally intended to take it when he encountered a bottleneck in his cultivation, but now, he had to take it.

The immortal-grade pill instantly transformed into surging spiritual energy that flowed into Lu Henge's meridians.

His cultivation instantly soared to the Golden Core stage.

However.

This was only a temporary enhancement.

He would only be able to maintain the Golden Core stage for a short time.

After this short time, Lu Henge's cultivation would revert to the Foundation Establishment stage, and he would also be severely injured.

"Golden Core stage?"

The Demon Emperor was surprised.

He didn't expect Lu Henge to have such a pill.

But a mere Golden Core stage was useless in front of him.

He was a Mahayana stage powerhouse!

"Come and die!"

The Demon Emperor rushed towards Lu Henge.

Lu Henge didn't back down.

He took out the Ancient Desolate Sword from his storage ring.

The sword was simple and unadorned, without any spiritual energy fluctuations.

But when Lu Henge held it in his hand, his aura changed instantly.

"Sword Cultivator?"

The Demon Emperor's eyes narrowed.

He vaguely felt a hint of danger.

But he didn't care.

"Kill!"

The Demon Emperor shouted loudly and attacked Lu Henge.

Lu Henge didn't speak.

He just swung his sword.

The Ancient Desolate Sword transformed into a ray of light, striking the Demon Emperor.

Bang!

The Demon Emperor was sent flying.

His chest had a huge bloody hole.

"You..."

The Demon Emperor looked at Lu Henge in disbelief.

How could a Golden Core stage cultivator hurt him?

This was impossible!

Lu Henge didn't give the Demon Emperor a chance to react.

He continued to swing his sword.

Every sword strike was simple and unadorned.

But each strike was extremely powerful.

The Demon Emperor was constantly pushed back, and wounds appeared on his body one after another.

He was completely suppressed by Lu Henge.

"This is the Sword Dao of the Human Realm?"

The Demon Emperor's heart trembled.

He had not seen such a powerful Sword Dao in a long time.

Chapter 48: Severing the Cause and Effect

The Demon Emperor was completely suppressed by Lu Henge.

This was a rare scene.

A Mahayana stage powerhouse was being suppressed by a Golden Core stage cultivator.

If this were to spread, it would definitely cause a huge uproar.

"You're not a Golden Core stage cultivator!"

The Demon Emperor finally reacted.

Lu Henge's sword intent was too terrifying.

It was far beyond the scope of the Golden Core stage.

"Who are you?"

The Demon Emperor roared.

Lu Henge ignored him.

He continued to swing his sword.

Each sword strike was simple and unadorned.

But it contained endless killing intent.

The Demon Emperor was constantly pushed back, and his body was covered in wounds.

He was bleeding profusely.

His aura was also rapidly weakening.

He was now seriously injured.

"You can't kill me!"

"I am the Demon Emperor! I am immortal!"

The Demon Emperor roared, trying to intimidate Lu Henge.

But Lu Henge was unmoved.

He continued to swing his sword.

"Kill!"

Lu Henge roared, and the Ancient Desolate Sword radiated dazzling light.

The Demon Emperor was sent flying again, and his body was almost torn apart.

He was now in a very dangerous situation.

"Damn it! Damn it!"

The Demon Emperor was furious.

He had never been so humiliated in his life.

He was actually being suppressed by a mere Golden Core stage cultivator.

This was a great humiliation for him.

"I'll remember you!"

The Demon Emperor roared, and his body suddenly exploded.

He transformed into countless black mists, trying to escape.

"Want to escape?"

Lu Henge sneered.

He raised his hand and slashed out with his sword.

The sword light instantly spread across the sky, enveloping the black mists.

The black mists rapidly dissipated.

The Demon Emperor's consciousness was rapidly weakening.

"You can't kill me!"

"I will be reborn!"

The Demon Emperor's voice slowly disappeared.

Lu Henge watched the black mists dissipate completely.

He didn't feel anything.

He had killed the Demon Emperor in his previous life.

This was just a wisp of his soul.

It was nothing.

Lu Henge's face was pale.

The immortal-grade pill's effect was rapidly fading.

His cultivation was also rapidly reverting to the Foundation Establishment stage.

And his body was severely injured.

He was bleeding profusely from his mouth and nose.

His meridians were also severely damaged.

He had to rest for a few days before he could recover.

Lu Henge took out a pill from his storage ring and swallowed it.

Then he sat cross-legged and began to recuperate.

After a long time.

Lu Henge opened his eyes.

His face was still pale, but his aura had stabilized a lot.

"Now, it's time to get that sword."

Lu Henge stood up and walked towards the depths of the Sword Prison.

He had a clear goal in his mind.

He knew where the sword was.

It was deep within the Sword Prison.

And it was also where the Sword Tomb was located.

It was a very dangerous place.

But Lu Henge had to go.

Because that sword was very important to him.

It was the key to his rise.

And it was also the key to his revenge.

Lu Henge walked slowly.

The further he went, the stronger the sword qi became.

But Lu Henge didn't care.

He had already tempered his body with sword qi before.

And now, he was also at the Foundation Establishment stage.

He could withstand the sword qi.

After a long time.

Lu Henge arrived at a huge stone gate.

This was the entrance to the Sword Tomb.

The stone gate was ancient and covered in moss.

It looked very old.

Lu Henge pushed the stone gate, and it slowly opened.

Inside the Sword Tomb.

It was a world of swords.

Countless swords were stuck into the ground.

Some were broken.

Some were intact.

Some were rusty.

Some were still sharp.

All kinds of swords were gathered here.

Lu Henge's eyes swept across the swords.

He was looking for that particular sword.

The sword he needed.

After a long time.

Lu Henge's eyes stopped at a sword.

It was an ordinary sword.

Without any spiritual energy fluctuations.

It looked very ordinary.

But Lu Henge knew.

This sword was extraordinary.

It was the Ancient Desolate Sword.

The sword that had helped him rise in his previous life.

Lu Henge reached out and grabbed the hilt of the Ancient Desolate Sword.

A surge of sword qi instantly rushed into his body.

Lu Henge gritted his teeth and endured the pain.

The sword qi was very powerful.

It was constantly tearing at his meridians.

But Lu Henge didn't let go.

He knew that this was a test.

As long as he could withstand it, the Ancient Desolate Sword would recognize him.

After a long time.

The sword qi in Lu Henge's body slowly dissipated.

The Ancient Desolate Sword vibrated slightly.

It had recognized Lu Henge.

Lu Henge pulled out the Ancient Desolate Sword.

A terrifying sword intent instantly filled the entire Sword Tomb.

All the other swords in the Sword Tomb trembled.

They seemed to be worshipping the Ancient Desolate Sword.

"Finally, it's mine."

Lu Henge smiled.

He had finally gotten the Ancient Desolate Sword.

With this sword, he would be able to kill all his enemies.

Chapter 49: Ye Feng's Plan

The Three Thousand Dao Sect, the Sect Master's main hall.

The Sect Master stood at the highest point, his face expressionless.

Below him, a group of elders were chattering.

"Sect Master, the demon race has been acting frequently recently."

"Yes, Sect Master, we should strengthen the protective formation."

"Sect Master, we should send disciples to investigate the demon race's movements."

The elders were discussing loudly.

The Sect Master just listened quietly, without saying a word.

After a long time.

The Sect Master finally spoke: "What do you all think we should do?"

The elders immediately quieted down.

They all looked at each other, not daring to speak.

The Sect Master sighed.

He knew that these elders were useless.

They only knew how to talk, but they couldn't do anything.

"Forget it, I'll do it myself."

The Sect Master said coldly.

He raised his hand, and a golden light instantly shot out from his palm, heading towards the protective formation of the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

Boom!

A loud sound.

The protective formation of the Three Thousand Dao Sect instantly shone with dazzling light.

The power of the formation was instantly enhanced by several times.

The elders were all shocked.

They didn't expect the Sect Master to be so powerful.

He could actually enhance the power of the protective formation with a single move.

"Sect Master, your cultivation has advanced again?"

An elder asked excitedly.

The Sect Master just shook his head and didn't answer.

He had been in seclusion for a long time.

His cultivation had indeed improved.

But he was still a step away from breaking through to the Immortal Realm.

And this step was very difficult to take.

He needed an opportunity.

A great opportunity.

The Sect Master looked at the sky, his eyes deep.

He sensed that a great change was coming.

And this change would determine the fate of the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

He had to be prepared.

...

Qingyun Peak.

Ye Feng was sitting cross-legged, his face gloomy.

He had just received a message from Moke.

The demon race's surprise attack plan had been changed.

Moke had chosen to let Mo Yan be in charge.

And Mo Yan was a very ruthless person.

He would definitely not let him go.

Ye Feng was furious.

He had planned everything.

He had even risked exposing himself to help the demon race.

But now, his efforts had all been in vain.

Damn it!

Ye Feng's eyes flashed with a hint of hatred.

He hated Moke.

He hated Mo Yan.

He hated everyone who stood in his way.

"No, I can't give up."

Ye Feng clenched his fists.

He had to find a way to turn the tables.

He had to gain benefits from this demon race invasion.

Ye Feng pondered for a long time.

Suddenly, his eyes lit up.

He thought of a plan.

A plan that could allow him to gain huge benefits from this demon race invasion.

"Lu Henge!"

Ye Feng's lips curled into a cold smile.

He decided to use Lu Henge.

Lu Henge was now imprisoned in the Sword Prison.

He was a crippled person.

He had no cultivation.

He was useless.

But he was the Holy Son of the Three Thousand Dao Sect.

And he had a good relationship with Yao Fan.

If he could use Lu Henge to stir up trouble in the Three Thousand Dao Sect, it would definitely create chaos.

And in chaos, there was opportunity.

Ye Feng decided to let Lu Henge become his stepping stone.

He would use Lu Henge to achieve his goals.

Ye Feng stood up and walked out of the cave dwelling.

He was going to the Prison Hall.

He was going to see Lu Henge.

He wanted to "visit" Lu Henge.

And then, he would implement his plan.

Chapter 50: Grand Dao Is Declining, Heavenly Dao Is Declining

"Senior Brother, I'm here to visit you."

Ye Feng stood outside the Sword Prison, speaking respectfully.

Lu Henge was in the depths of the Sword Prison, so he naturally couldn't hear Ye Feng's voice.

But the two execution guards outside heard it clearly.

They looked at each other.

They didn't expect Ye Feng to actually come to visit Lu Henge.

"Young Master Ye, the Holy Son is inside, he can't hear you."

An execution guard said.

Ye Feng smiled: "It's fine, I just want to say a few words to Senior Brother. He'll definitely hear me."

Then.

Ye Feng spoke again: "Senior Brother, I know you're sad. But don't worry, I'll definitely take good care of Master and Junior Sister for you. You can rest assured and cultivate in the Sword Prison."

"Rest assured to cultivate? What a joke!"

The execution guards secretly sneered.

Lu Henge was a crippled person.

How could he cultivate?

He would only die in the Sword Prison.

Ye Feng continued to speak, his voice full of concern: "Senior Brother, you must be very lonely inside. But don't worry, I'll often come to visit you. And I'll tell you about Master and Junior Sister's situation."

"Master is doing well, and Junior Sister is also doing well. They both miss you very much."

Ye Feng continued to put on a show.

He wanted to make Lu Henge feel even more desperate.

He wanted to completely crush Lu Henge's will.

The execution guards admired Ye Feng's acting skills.

He was truly a good person.

He was actually visiting a crippled person and trying to comfort him.

Such a good person was truly rare.

Ye Feng played his role for a long time.

Then he bowed and left.

"Young Master Ye is truly a good person."

An execution guard sighed.

The other execution guard also nodded in agreement.

They didn't know that Ye Feng's heart was filled with endless malice.

He wanted to see Lu Henge suffer.

He wanted to see Lu Henge die miserably in the Sword Prison.

...

Deep within the Sword Prison.

Lu Henge was refining pills.

He had just killed the Demon Emperor, and he was severely injured.

He needed to recover as soon as possible.

He also needed to enhance his cultivation.

He had already obtained the Ancient Desolate Sword.

Now, he needed to cultivate the Sword Dao.

Lu Henge took out a large pile of medicinal herbs from his storage ring.

He started refining pills.

He was very proficient in alchemy.

Soon, a pot of pills was refined.

He swallowed the pills.

His injuries quickly recovered.

His cultivation also slowly increased.

After a long time.

Lu Henge opened his eyes.

His face was much rosier.

His aura was also stronger.

"Grand Dao is declining, Heavenly Dao is declining."

Lu Henge muttered to himself.

He had sensed something during his cultivation.

The Heavenly Dao of this world was very weak.

It was constantly declining.

And the Grand Dao was also declining.

This meant that the world was moving towards destruction.

This was a good thing for Lu Henge.

Because the weaker the Heavenly Dao was, the less it could interfere with him.

He could cultivate the Sword Dao without any worries.

He could also take revenge without any worries.

Lu Henge looked at the Ancient Desolate Sword in his hand.

His eyes flashed with a hint of coldness.

He was going to become the strongest person in this world.

He was going to take revenge on everyone who had wronged him.

He was going to make them pay a heavy price.

And then, he would leave this declining world.

He would go to a stronger world.

He would continue to pursue the Grand Dao.

He would become an immortal.

He would become a god.

He would become the strongest person in the entire universe.

"Just you wait!"

Lu Henge murmured.

His figure disappeared from the spot.

He was going to find Jian Tongming.

He had to help Jian Tongming.

Because Jian Tongming was the only one who could help him cultivate the Sword Dao.

And he also needed Jian Tongming to help him leave this declining world.

He had to find Jian Tongming.

He had to help Jian Tongming recover.

And then, he would embark on his journey to the peak.

He would become the strongest.

He would become the ruler of the universe.

He would become the true master of the Grand Dao.
