Chapter 14 - Destruction and Creation

Adrian felt his grip on reality slipping. His consciousness clung to threads of awareness, yet his body no longer obeyed him. It moved on its own, staggering through the void as though drawn toward some unseen path.

A suffocating pressure weighed down on him, and for a moment, he thought he would dissolve entirely—his existence scattered into dust.

Then, without warning, a soft green light burst forth. It wrapped around his fractured soul, seeping into the cracks, knitting together the shattered pieces of his essence.

What is this light?Adrian's fading thoughts trembled. Something so ominous… yet it's healing me?

The warmth of recovery filled him for only a moment. Then—

BOOM!Two violent streams of energy surged into him, tearing his soul apart once more.

"No…" His voice cracked in both fear and awe. "No, not again!"

His scream reverberated through the emptiness as agony ripped him apart. But just as he felt himself slipping into nothingness, the green mist swirled again, healing, restoring, forcing him back together.

Only for the destruction to come again. And again. And again.

Each cycle of destruction and rebirth left him closer to madness. The process repeated endlessly, an unrelenting torment.

Then, at the height of his despair—

A cold voice rang out, cutting through the chaos. Its tone was neither cruel nor merciful, but so powerful that even the raging energies stilled in reverence.

The presence descended like an ocean pressing against his soul. Its power should have crushed him, yet instead it wrapped around him with a strange, soothing aura. For the first time since the ordeal began, Adrian felt… calm.

Only one question formed in his mind, whispered through cracked lips.

"...Who?"

But no answer came. Only silence. The entire space seemed to hold its breath, as though honoring the arrival of that unseen being.

And in that silence, a memory—no, a warning—resurfaced. Words not his own, echoing from the depths of his soul:

[Be aware of the Boundary.]
