That evening, Zhao An treated the entire company to dinner and, ingeniously, showered the company with red envelopes, each containing hundreds or even thousands of dollars. These were small perks for employees. Those who grabbed one were lucky. Those who didn't were given consolation prizes. Every employee was taken care of.
Zhao An picked up his wine glass and said, "Let me reiterate one thing: as long as you follow me, I won't treat you unfairly. I'll take care of everything, financially and materially. You just need to work hard."
Having witnessed Zhao An's financial prowess, ninety-nine percent of the employees were impressed. This boss looked young, but his methods and vision were unmatched by ordinary people. Genius? Perhaps, but that didn't matter to them; they only cared about how much they'd earned that day.
Back in their hotel room, my mother and Aunt Chai collapsed onto the bed, exhausted. They were very sleepy. They weren't superhumans like Zhao An, so they naturally couldn't handle it for that long.
Zhao Fei finished her shower and emerged wrapped in a bath towel, which bound her large breasts so tightly that they looked as if they would break at any moment.
"Honey, do you want me to stay with you?"
Zhao An shook his head and pinched Zhao Fei's chin. "No need for you to go to bed early. We need to get things done here within three days. If you work hard, I'll reward you when we get back."
"I'm your wife. I don't need a reward. I'm fine with being abandoned in the future." Zhao Fei kissed Zhao An, deeply moved. She was indeed tired, but she knew Zhao An had a strong libido, so she forced herself to stay awake.
After the three women fell asleep, Zhao An released a drone, loaded with plastic bullets that even security couldn't detect. Any foolish thief would be shot down with a single shot.
Closing the door, Zhao An went to the bar downstairs. It was a solitary bar. Resident singers were performing on the stage, and below were tables like those in a Western restaurant, where people could drink and discuss business.
When Zhao An arrived, a man wearing a hat also arrived.
"Sit down."
The man sat down, still wearing his hat indoors, as if he had something to hide. Bald men do that, though. They like to hide their bald spots. It's probably to keep warm; not everyone wants to or wants others to see their bald spots.
"Hello, my name is Kevin," the man in the hat extended his hand, his expression serious.
"Hello, Zhao An." Zhao An also extended his hand and shook the other man's. "Okay, enough small talk. I know you're a very talented person. I've already bought back the X-Men rights, which cost me a bit of my connections. I need a professional agent to help me plan and manage things here. I won't offer you a high salary. Thirty percent of the monthly net profits will be yours. As long as you achieve my goals, I won't worry about anything else."
"Okay, what are you going to do?" Kevin nodded. He had just left his job, and despite his talent, the position he wanted was hard to find. Zhao An was giving him the power he needed. No other company could offer better work and compensation than this.
"We're going to film a live-action adaptation. Here's my script, you can take a look, along with the company's development plan. But I'm having a bit of a headache with the X-Men sequel, so you can offer some feedback." Zhao An rubbed his head and swung a tablet over to show him his ideas.
Actually, they weren't really ideas; they were plagiarized. Kevin had come up with them in the first place. He'd simply snatched them away before they happened, making them his own! A classic example of unfair terms, a classic freeloader!
Kevin was increasingly shocked the more he looked at it. This idea was truly brilliant, flawless, avant-garde, and incredibly bold.
"A cinematic universe? Your idea really does seem familiar to me."
Zhao An smiled, but said nothing. This was exactly the other person's idea, so of course it felt familiar. "I'm very smart, but I just don't want to be too busy, so I'll hire some smart people to help me. You're one of them. I'll personally direct a movie and use you to kick off this cinematic universe."
"Iron Man? You'd be a good choice in the role, you're all talented, I think." Kevin had no complaints. The other person had even written the script, so he must have planned it carefully. "I'll work overtime to write a proposal for the X-Men. Any other instructions, boss?"
"Yes, I have all the beautiful actresses. I'll give you a list. You can add some virtual backgrounds, and I've already chosen the filming locations. Some will be filmed in the United States, and the rest will be filmed in mainland China." Zhao An smiled a manly smile, clearly beginning his plan to plant a large number of foreign horses.
Kevin wasn't the least bit dissatisfied. He knew the morals of the rich. He'd been an executive himself and had heard how filthy their world was.
"No problem. Do you need me to contact some people for you?"
"Who do you know? Tell me about them. By the way, what was the name of that Mystique from X-Men? Rebecca, right? How's she doing?" Zhao An seemed to have thought of something. He needed to find a foreign woman to start a new relationship with.
"She's not doing well. Her role in the original trilogy is over. And they're going through a divorce recently. She's not doing well. Her husband has blocked most of the film studio's channels, and she's down and out." Kevin was quite familiar with the actors he'd worked with before.
"Ask her out. What's her husband's background?" Zhao An took out a cigarette, lit it, and puffed out smoke rings. This kind of social interaction made him feel like he'd just made his way into society. Leaving campus seemed a little different.
"Her husband has some connections in the area. Here's her phone number. I won't get involved in your affairs. Sorry." Kevin knew the importance of playing it safe. Let the upper-class have their fun, just don't get him into trouble.
"Haha, no need. I've already checked." Zhao An took the slip of paper. Using hacking techniques, he had already dug up the woman's wealth and background. All that was left was to find out what she was wearing tonight!
