Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: The Use of the Artificial Sun

Chapter 232: The Use of the Artificial Sun

Svartalfheim

"Boom boom boom—"

High in the sky, dozens of Iron Robots patrolled the pitch-black high altitude, blue Plasma Flames spewing from their feet.

In the pitch-black Underworld, where you couldn't see your hand in front of your face, strange screeches occasionally came from high above, accompanied by the roar of Missile explosions fired by the Iron Robots.

Eighty Iron Robots patrolled back and forth in the high altitude within a five-kilometer radius. The sweeping fire from the Heavy Machine Guns and the roar of Missiles never stopped for a moment.

Looking down from high altitude, these Steel Soldiers were guarding a brightly lit complex of buildings on the Mountain Peak.

Simple sheet metal fences surrounded makeshift sheds made from Containers. Inside this temporary Camp that looked like a construction site, huge lighting lamps were hung everywhere, illuminating the entire Camp as if it were daytime.

In the dark Svartalfheim, this was perhaps humanity's best resistance against the Fear of darkness. The best way to overcome the Fear of darkness was to dispel it.

Although the Camp was simple, its Area was very large, occupying more than half of the Mountain Peak, dozens of acres of land.

Sheet metal fences surrounded the entire Mountain Peak. Inside the fences, wooden Watchtowers were erected every few steps. On the Watchtowers, high-power searchlights and Heavy Machine Guns were mounted.

Soldiers in groups of two guarded the Watchtowers, scanning downwards with searchlights to prevent Native Creatures of Svartalfheim from Sneak Attacking the Camp.

"Sniff sniff!"

On a Watchtower, a Big man wearing a black Bulletproof Vest suddenly sniffed, as if he smelled something.

"It's a Bloody Scent. Those Skeletons are hunting again. There must be some Monster that doesn't know better that came down to the Mountain foot!"

Saying this, the Big man swung the searchlight. The thick beam of the searchlight shone directly onto a Mountain Hollow on the Mountainside.

The originally silent Mountain Hollow had now become a bloody slaughterhouse. In the Mountain Hollow, a group of humanoid Half-orcs with pale skin and bodies two sizes larger than Ordinary Persons were frantically trying to escape this Mountain Hollow.

Unfortunately, a group of Skeletons with thick Bone structures and eyes flickering with green Phosphorescent Fire blocked their path. The Claws of these Skeletons were extremely sharp; a casual stab could dig out the Heart of these tough-skinned Half-orcs.

The constantly opening and closing Skull mouths spat out streams of Poison Smoke. Enveloped by the Poison Smoke of these Skeleton Demons, these Native Half-orcs of Svartalfheim immediately turned black and fell to the Ground, unable to get up.

Hundreds of Half-orcs who wanted to Sneak Attack the Human Camp on the Mountain Peak didn't even last three minutes under the Claws of a dozen Skeleton Demons.

"Fuck!"

The Big man looked through his Binoculars and met the Gaze of a Skeleton Demon that had just finished Devouring the Flesh and Blood of a Half-orc.

He watched with his own eyes as the Skeleton Demon extended its Claws and held the Half-orc's Corpse in the air. As its upper and lower jaws opened and closed, the robust Half-orc's entire Flesh and Blood turned into a wisp of Blood Mist and was Devoured into its mouth.

The Skeleton Demon shook its Head in satisfaction. The two small Bone Wings on its back, which looked like a joke, extended slightly after it consumed the Blood Food, and fine Bone grew within the Bone Wings.

Watching the Half-orc held by this Skeleton instantly being Devoured into a Skeleton, the Big man shivered, his Scalp tingling. Especially when this Skeleton Demon seemed to sense his gaze, its Skull rotated 180 degrees on its Spine, and the two clusters of Phosphorescent Fire in its eye sockets met his gaze directly.

Being stared at by two clusters of green Ghost Fire, even though the Big man himself was not an Ordinary Person, he was still scared, his Scalp tingling. His Body instinctively recoiled, and the searchlight in his hand directly deviated from its Direction.

The thick beam of light pierced through the darkness and happened to shine on the Wing of a giant Dark Demon Bat high in the sky. "Da da da da da—"

This Dark Demon Bat was instantly hit by a barrage of fire from the Base's Autocannon and was instantly shot into a Blood Mist by the thick Autocannon Bullets.

"Fuck, this damned place. I knew I shouldn't have come here. It's better to be a Guard in the Dark Black Market!"

Amidst the mockery of his companion beside him, the Big man stood firm, muttering curses and defending himself.

"The Creatures here are even uglier than those Demonic Creatures!"

"We don't look much better when we Transform into Werewolf form, do we?!" The older Soldier beside him slowly took a Cigar from his Pocket and lit it for himself.

"It's much easier here than the Black Market. There are those Robots guarding above, and that group of Skeletons at the Mountain foot. We just have to stay honestly on the Watchtower. You know, the Salary here is three times that of the Black Market, and we don't have to stay with those Bats!"

The older Soldier puffed on his Cigar, explaining to the newcomer who had just been transferred here.

"What exactly are those Skeletons at the Mountain foot? Are they Undead Creatures summoned by those Black Wizards?"

The Big man was a little doubtful. He was originally a Werewolf under Lucien's command and was later transferred to the Black Market managed by Selene to be a Guard.

The Black Market in New York was frequented by Dark Creatures hidden in the Human World: Goblins, Dwarves, Trolls, Elves, Half-orcs, Black Wizards. He had seen a lot during his two years as a Guard.

But he had never seen anything as ferocious as the Skeleton Demons. With a single spit, the Poison Smoke from their mouths could knock down a large area of Half-orcs. Eating people was as easy for them as he ate jelly.

The slightly older Werewolf Soldier exhaled a puff of Cigar smoke and glanced at him sideways.

"You don't need to worry about those Skeletons. They are the Big Boss's Pets. The area within a two-hundred-kilometer radius around the foot of this mountain is the Hunting ground for these Skeletons! Those Native Creatures of Svartalfheim are their Food source. We don't need to worry about them at all!"

"Big Boss!" Hearing the Werewolf Soldier mention Tang Song, the Big man immediately shut his mouth.

This Werewolf Tribe, led by Lucien, had a very strange view of Tang Song. They were subdued by Boss Tang.

Before being subdued by Tang Song, if Lucien hadn't been clever and chosen to surrender, their branch of Werewolves would probably have been wiped out by Boss Tang.

After choosing to surrender, they rapidly expanded with the help of Tang Song's forces, leaping to become one of the largest Dark Races in the entire Federation.

The same went for that group of smelly Bats. Unlike them, that group of Bats, relying on the Boss's Lover, were also thriving in the Underworld of the Federation.

These Bats almost monopolized the Smuggling Business of Blood Banks in the entire Federation's Hospitals. Besides being self-sufficient, this smuggled Blood was also a major Source of profit for the Black Market Business.

It is said that the Research Personnel under the Big Boss had also developed Artificial Plasma, and the Exclusive rights were reportedly given to that group of Bats.

As for their Werewolves, after surrendering to the Big Boss, they not only escaped the miserable life of living in Sewers but were also allocated Welfare housing, everyone bought Five Social Insurances and One Housing Fund, and received high Salaries. Compared to their previous life which was almost like Homeless Persons, their Treatment instantly improved by several Tiers.

Especially after the Big Boss extended his Influence into Human official organizations like S.H.I.E.L.D., Leader Frank submitted a proposal to the World Security Council in the name of Deputy Director.

To deal with the increasingly serious Supernatural Crime, S.H.I.E.L.D. specifically recruited a group of people with supernatural powers and formed several Supernatural Task Forces.

The person responsible for leading this Armed Forces was their Leader, Lucien.

These Werewolves also legitimately mixed into Human official organizations and received Civil Servant Salaries.

Not only that, he heard from a cousin Werewolf who followed Leader Lucien that,

Several other Werewolf Tribe Leaders planned to surrender their entire Tribes to them.

Leader Lucien had already reported this matter to Leader Lane and was waiting for the Big Boss's Approval.

As an Ordinary Werewolf living at the bottom, the Big man supported the Big Boss's generosity in his Heart, but he felt more Fear towards the Big Boss.

The longer he followed the Big Boss, the more he could appreciate the Terror of the Big Boss.

Take the Black Market he guarded, for example. When the Black Market first opened for Business, it wasn't that no one caused trouble.

But whether it was powerful Dark Races from the Underworld, Demon Hunters who came looking for trouble, or Agents from Human official organizations.

Once they caused a commotion in the Black Market, their Corpses would appear on specific Stalls in the Black Market the next day, sold as Commodities.

This efficient and brutal Method greatly improved the security environment of the Black Market, and its reputation for Safety quickly replaced the former Troll Black Market.

As a Guard of the Black Market, the Big man had once followed a Card Ringleader to deal with a troublemaker. It was an Alligator Person who lived in the Sewers of New York.

This guy ambushed several Half-Elf Customers who had just walked out of the Black Market from the sewer near the Black Market entrance. As a result, that night, this Alligator Skin was displayed in the Hall of the Black Market as an exhibit.

Based on the clues provided by the Turtle Persons living in the Sewer, he followed a Leader from the Card Sequence to apprehend the person.

He personally watched as that Alligator Person's Spine was broken by that Card Sequence Leader, and his Skin was peeled off alive with a Tactical Knife.

Since then, the Big man had a Fear of the legendary Big Boss that was carved deep in his bones.

When the older Soldier mentioned that these ferocious Skeletons were the Big Boss's Pets, the Big man actually had a strange thought: No wonder, no one else is worthy of having such ferocious Pets. "Have one!"

The older Soldier casually handed over a Cigar. The Big man took it, feeling a little hesitant.

The Boss seemed to see through his thoughts: "Don't worry, drinking is not allowed while on Official Duty here, but smoking is allowed! After changing shifts, you can smoke and drink as you please."

"Try it, this is a Luxury Cuban Cigar. Normally, I wouldn't bear to smoke it, but the Logistics supplies here are free! This is also one of the Benefits of being stationed here!"

Hearing the older Soldier say this, the Big man finally lit the Cigar and stood on the Watchtower with the older Soldier, smoking. Just as the two Werewolf Guards were smoking, on the Mountainside Mountain Hollow, a dozen Skeleton Demons finished eating, each flapping the Bone Wings on their backs and gliding away from this Mountain Hollow, leaving only Piles of white bones in the Mountain Hollow.

In the pitch-black sky, the Skeleton Demons' Bone structures completely disappeared into the darkness.

In the pitch blackness, pairs of Ghost Fire drifted in the night sky.

Surrounding this Mountain Peak with an Altitude of over a thousand meters, dense Ghost Fire flickered like fireflies in the dark night. Counting them, there were thousands, if not tens of thousands.

In the center of the Camp on the Mountain Peak, a Space Gate identical to the one at Leon Military Base stood on the Ground.

Workers and Robots carrying Supplies came and went through the Space Gate.

Several simple railway tracks were laid in the Camp to facilitate the transportation of Supplies. Waving his four Metal tentacles, Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius cursed as he directed the workers to move the Materials he needed to the designated place.

"Idiots, be gentle! This contains Liquid Adamantium. Once it leaves the Constant Temperature Environment and Freezes, it requires a High Temperature of over fifty thousand degrees to Dissolve again!"

Seeing several workers carelessly moving the device containing Liquid Adamantium, Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius walked directly over and gave them a severe scolding.

Otto Gunther Octavius, also known as Doctor Octopus, had introduced a Controlled Nuclear Fusion Reactor.

This was originally a New Energy Project launched by Oscorp to compete with Stark Industries.

Unfortunately, although the Artificial Sun was not inferior to Tony Stark's Arc Reactor in the field of Energy generation.

In terms of Efficiency, the Safety and Miniaturization of the Arc Reactor were undoubtedly much more reliable than Doctor Octopus's Artificial Sun Project.

Especially after Earth reverse-engineered the technology of the Chitauri's Chariots, Stark Industries and Tang Group simultaneously announced the Development of Hover cars.

As for the Energy source for Hover cars, the Information released by both Companies stated that they would use Controllable Arc Reactors.

...

Doctor Octopus, in the original Plot, only received funding for his Controlled Nuclear Fusion Experiment from the heavily damaged Oscorp after the death of Green Goblin Norman Osborn.

Uh, in the world belonging to Boss Tang, Norman Osborn is alive and well. However, in the face of the mass-produced Energy Cubes from the Arc Reactor and the Cosmic Cube, Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius's Controlled Nuclear Fusion Plan, although successful, was not very Ideal in terms of Efficiency.

When the Space Gate opened and everyone threw themselves into the Great Interstellar Development, planning to reap a wave of Dividends,

Oscorp was no exception. Norman Osborn's entire Energy was focused on Interstellar Travel and the Mining Teams he sent out.

Just like during the Age of Discovery, everyone's Gaze was fixed on the rich overseas.

Doctor Otto Gunther Octavius, whose Experiment was successful but whose Efficiency was not Ideal, was recommended by Norman Osborn to Tang Song.

As for the Artificial Sun Project, after a slight modification by Boss Tang, these Reactors had other Uses.

After being busy for several days, Doctor Octopus looked at the completed hundreds-of-meters-tall Large Crystal Sphere and pressed the Switch to start the Experiment.

The jet propulsion device at the bottom of the Large Crystal Sphere spewed out blue Plasma Flames,

Carrying a counterforce, this hundreds-of-meters-tall Behemoth instantly lifted off, ascending to a height of nearly a thousand meters from the Mountain Peak, escorted by a dozen Steel Soldiers.

When Doctor Octopus activated the Switch for the Controlled Nuclear Fusion Reactor, the Reactor inside the Large Crystal Sphere successfully activated, turning into an Artificial Sun that illuminated an area tens of miles around.

Svartalfheim's pitch-black night sky welcomed daytime for the first time. Many Native Creatures were directly blinded by the Sunlight.

These wild Native Creatures of Svartalfheim had developed the Ability to see by faint light in the darkness for survival, but when the Artificial Sun emitted dazzling radiance, this Ability actually harmed them.

"Boss! The Artificial Sun Project in Svartalfheim is successful!"

With the Big Boss's Concept successful, the people below naturally hurried to Report.

When Tang Song received the Information from Lucien, he was strolling on the streets of New York after Emerge from Seclusion.

Several Black-clothed Bodyguards and two Mercedes-Benz Cars followed far behind.

The bustling streets of New York still maintained a fast-paced life. Office workers came and went, seemingly unaffected by the Alien Invasion.

Things like Aliens, Mutants, the Underworld, and the Underworld had little to do with them.

Ordinary Persons still had to be busy with their Food, clothing, housing, and transportation.

An Alien Invasion was not as important as their Credit Card expiring tomorrow.

Banks would not waive your Mortgage because of an Alien Invasion, unless they truly Occupied Earth.

After the temporary passion and clamor of Humanity defeating the Aliens subsided, Ordinary Persons still lived their ordinary lives, busy with their three meals.

No one noticed the two Ordinary Persons strolling leisurely on the streets of New York: a handsome-looking Asian and a greasy-looking, chubby White Person with a Small Belly.

At most, some Women stopped for the Asian's handsomeness, shyly observing him secretly. The bolder ones even approached Tang Song directly to ask for contact information.

As for the greasy-looking man beside him, they completely ignored him.

"Hey, I think their taste is really different from other races in the Milky Way Galaxy. When I lived on Alien planets, with this handsome appearance, I was quite popular with beautiful Women of other races!"

Seeing that Boss Tang had another small piece of paper in his hand while he got nothing, Star-Lord complained indignantly to Tang Song.

Tang Song just glanced sideways at his Belly, immediately leaving Star-Lord speechless.

"I used to have eight Abdominal Muscles too, but I've been busy training lately, but that's not important..."

After walking along the streets of New York for a while longer, Star-Lord couldn't help but defend himself. "That's not important! If you really want to have eight Abdominal Muscles, I can have Kane send you to the Siberian Camp for a period of Training.

If you like beautiful Women,"

Tang Song patted Star-Lord's Shoulder and pointed to the cover girls on the Big Screens on the streets of New York.

"Pick whichever one you like. After you choose, they will appear on your bed tonight!

Don't worry, since you are willing to be my Purchaser, you are my Friend. I have always been generous to my Friends."

When Star-Lord heard Tang Song's words, he looked up at the bright and colorful Model girls on the Big Screen. Their fair arms and exposed thighs made him swallow a mouthful of saliva uncontrollably.

Oh my god, what beautiful Women. Their Skin was also White like his,

Not Green, not Blue, and not Gold.

They didn't have Armor on their bodies, nor did they have horns growing on their Heads. These were the Human beauties of his dreams.

Star-Lord hesitated a little~

Tang Song then patted his Shoulder and pointed forward.

"Alright, the largest music store in New York is up ahead. You can go look for any Cassette tapes or Records you want!"

Watching Star-Lord's Figure disappear into the music store, Tang Song waved his hand. A Black-clothed Bodyguard who had been following the two from a distance jogged over.

"Boss!" The Bodyguard bowed slightly towards Tang Song.

"Tell Sid to negotiate the price for the Models on these Big Screens and have them delivered tonight!"

Tang Song instructed casually.

The Bodyguard agreed, took out his Mobile Phone from his Pocket, and took Photos of the Models on the nearby Big Screens one by one.

Sid is the General Manager of a Media Company subordinate to Tang Group.

This Media Company acquired a Television Station and several Magazines within the Federation and is considered a rising star in the Media industry.

Of course, one of the important Uses of this subordinate Company is to contact the female stars and Models that Boss Tang takes a fancy to after his selection process, and to be responsible for negotiating the price and Conditions.
