Chapter 10 - You're a what??

Amélie nodded, her smile growing wider. "Oh, yes, I know all about your family, Eli," she said, her eyes glinting with amusement. "It's not every day I meet the grandson of Talia Hale and the son of Derek Hale."

Eli looked at her with concern "You knew my sad and grand mother?"

"Your garndmother i did, but the last time i saw your father he was about 2years running around in his underwear" amélie answered as Eli's face turned bright red with embarrassment, and Talia chuckled, her eyes sparkling with amusement.

Progress looked at her with curiosity. "Wait, how's that possible when. Your only 16?" He asked

Amélie looked at tge trio in disbelief as sge spoke. "You still haven't figured it out? Gosh, and I thought you were the smart one." Sge Said looking at Progress. "I'll give you a hint. I'm a supernatural being, super speed and strength. Normal humans always make books and movies about us being weak to sunlight....what am I?" She asked looking at the trio

"A vampire?" Talia answered

Talia's eyes sparkled with curiosity as she asked, "A vampire?" Amélie's smile grew even wider, and she nodded, her fangs gleaming in the light.

"You're absolutely right," Amélie said, her voice dripping with amusement. "I'm a vampire, and I've been around for a lot longer than my appearance suggests. You see, vampires don't age like humans do, and we have certain... abilities that make us rather unique."

The trio looked at each other in shock, their minds racing with questions and doubts. Progress spoke up, his voice filled with curiosity.

"So, you're saying you're over a hundred years old, but you look like a 16-year-old girl?" he asked, his eyes fixed intently on Amélie.

Amélie nodded, her eyes glinting with amusement. "That's right," she said. "And I've seen a lot of things in my time. Including your father, Eli, running around in his underwear when he was two years old."

"I've lived a long life, and I've seen many things. But I have to say, I'm rather enjoying this conversation. It's not every day I get to talk to people who can keep up with me."

Progress's eyes widened in realization as he connected the dots. "Wait a minute," he said, his voice filled with excitement. "That means the first Dupont in Beacon Hills, the one I saw in my research, wasn't her ancestors... it was you."

Amélie nodded, a hint of a smile on her face. "That's right," she said. "I've been in Beacon Hills for a long time, and I've seen the town grow and change over the years. I've been known by many names and aliases over the years."

Talia and Eli looked at each other in shock, their minds reeling with the implications. They had thought they were dealing with a normal person, but it turned out they were dealing with a vampire who had been alive for centuries. Progress's eyes locked onto Amélie's, his mind racing with questions. "The man who attacked me the other day, was he a vampire too?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Amélie nodded, her expression serious. "Yes, he was," she said. "And I'm guessing you're wondering if I was the one who saved you?"

Progress nodded, his eyes searching for answers. Amélie smiled. "Yes, I was the one who saved you," she said. "I've been keeping an eye on you, Progress. You're a lot more interesting than you think you are."

Talia and Eli exchanged a look, their minds reeling with the implications. They had so many questions, but they didn't know where to start.

Progress's eyes never left Amélie's face. "Why did you save me?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

Amélie's smile grew wider, and she leaned forward, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "That's a story for another time," she said. "But let's just say I have my reasons."

Her smile grew wider as she leaned forward, her voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "I originally came to Beacon Hills to meet Scott McCall," she said, her eyes glinting with amusement. "But I was surprised to find a Guardian wolf... in you." She looked at Progress, her gaze piercing. "You're not what I expected," she said. "But I have to admit, I'm intrigued. A Guardian wolf in Beacon Hills, it's... unexpected."

Eli's eyes widened in surprise, his mind racing with questions. "You knew Scott?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.

Amélie nodded, her smile still plastered on her face. "No, i just heard glimpsesof his heroic deeds and wanted to meet the man." she said. "But I think we're getting ahead of ourselves. Let's just say, Progress, that you're a very interesting young man. And I think I'll be sticking around Beacon Hills for a while longer."

Talia and Eli exchanged a look, their minds reeling with the implications. What did Amélie want with Progress? And what did she mean by sticking around Beacon Hills? They knew they had to be careful, but they also knew they had to learn more about Amélie and her true intentions.

Amélie's smile grew wider as she leaned back in her chair. "If you're interested in learning more about vampires and how you fit into the world of supernatural creatures, I'd like to invite you to the Dupont estate after school," she said, her eyes glinting with amusement. "I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have and give you a glimpse into our world."

The bell rang, signaling the end of lunchtime, and the students began to file out of the cafeteria. Amélie stood up, her movements fluid and effortless.

"I'll expect you at the Dupont estate after school, then," she said, her smile still plastered on her face. "Don't be late."

With that, she turned and walked away, leaving Progress, Talia, and Eli to ponder her words and wonder what lay ahead.

As they watched her go, Progress turned to his friends and whispered, "Well, that was certainly interesting. I think we're in for a wild ride."

Talia nodded, her eyes serious. "We need to be careful, though. We don't know what we're getting ourselves into."

Eli nodded in agreement. "But we can't just ignore this, either. We need to learn more about vampires and what's going on in this town."

Progress grinned. "Don't worry, guys. I've got a feeling that Amélie Dupont is going to be a lot more than just a interesting acquaintance."
