Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: The Recruitment Cermony and A Legendary Tale Of Lies

A huge crowd had gathered for the recruitment ceremony.

On the grand stage, Shaurya sat on a luxurious chair in full swag, wearing black, overpowered sunglasses and a confident smile. Xiao Rui stood on his right, and Xiao Lian on his left. Behind the chair, Wang Tian was sitting on a tree branch in equal swag, casually eating dal chawal and enjoying it to the fullest.

Of course, the food had been given by Shaurya.

All the disciples were eating it as well.

The thirteen new disciples sat on the stage in a circle, with Shaurya positioned in the center like a king.

Shaurya shouted enthusiastically,

"Come on, come on! Join my sect and change your destiny!"

A long line of people stretched across the ground.

Then, in full dramatic style, Shaurya slid his chair backward while still sitting on it. The crowd gasped in amazement at his effortless flair.

He turned toward Xiao Rui and said,

"Register the disciples. Fill the forms."

Xiao Rui froze.

"Me?"

Shaurya smirked.

"Of course. Who else?"

Xiao Rui nodded, sat at the table, and began registering the disciples.

Wang Tian walked over and said calmly,

"Let me help you."

Shaurya noticed this and thought inwardly,

Wow… this arrogant emperor is actually helping his fellow disciples.

The system commented dryly,

"Yes. And here you are, lazy Host, increasing their workload instead of helping."

Shaurya replied in full chill mode,

"System bro, I don't care."

The registration process took two hours.

When it was finally complete, the system interface flashed.

[Congratulations, Host. You have completed the task of recruiting 50 disciples.]

[Current disciples: 96 / 100]

Shaurya's eyes widened.

"Wow… that means I only need four more disciples in three days."

The system immediately displayed the rewards.

---

Shaurya was overjoyed.

"Wow, System. No matter how much you roast me, you're really generous with rewards."

The system replied calmly,

"It's my job, Host."

Shaurya jumped up, stood on the table, and announced loudly,

"Alright! From now on, you are all disciples of my Sanatan Flame Sect! Your lives and destinies are about to change completely. You'll achieve things you've never even imagined!"

He paused, then added,

"So go home, meet your families, take your belongings, and return here tomorrow at this same time."

Everyone nodded excitedly and left.

Soon, only Shaurya and his sixteen disciples remained.

He turned to them and said,

"You all can also go to your homes."

They happily left—except for Xiao Rui, Xiao Lian, and Wang Tian, who stayed behind.

Just then, the City Lord arrived.

Shaurya noticed him and said respectfully,

"Thank you for your help."

The City Lord replied humbly,

"It's my duty to help the people, Leader Shaurya."

After a brief pause, the City Lord asked,

"Well… if you don't mind, may I ask you something?"

Shaurya nodded.

"Yes. What is it?"

The City Lord hesitated, then asked,

"Why is your name and your sect's name so different?"

Shaurya was caught off guard. He hadn't expected that question.

The system immediately spoke up,

"Host, show your lying talent again. Make a convincing story, and you'll gain +10 Dharma Points."

Shaurya smiled faintly.

"Perfect."

He sat back down on his chair with full confidence, holding a folding fan, looking like a refined storyteller. Even his disciples leaned forward in anticipation.

Shaurya began slowly,

"I am not from this land. I come from a very distant place. I cannot tell you its name—it lies at the very edge of the world."

Everyone stiffened.

"That place no longer exists in this realm," he continued calmly.

"The entire land ascended."

Jaw drops followed.

"At that time, I was only twelve years old. I loved this realm, so I chose to stay. My dream was to create the strongest sect—not just in this world, but in all of existence."

Wang Tian thought silently,

I don't know if Master is telling the truth about that place… but he definitely has the potential to build such a sect.

Shaurya continued,

"During my journey, I met a man named Captain Jet Eagle. He was a powerful cultivator and the ruler of the seas. His spiritual weapon was a ship that traveled through water—the Dark Pearl. He became my master and taught me many things."

"Later, he took me to another world—smaller, but far more beautiful than this one. His power was so overwhelming that when we entered that world, it trembled."

"A peak Immortal Realm powerhouse sensed my master's presence and arrived. My master introduced him as an old friend—Tank Shark."

Everyone was completely absorbed.

"They both embraced, then decided to battle—because Tank Shark wanted to see how much my master had improved. Their battle lasted fifteen days and nearly destroyed the entire world."

Wang Tian was stunned. Having once reached Immortal Realm Level 1 in his past life, he knew exactly how terrifying such power was.

"Then, another powerhouse arrived—Sun Wukan. He joined the battle to stop the destruction. It took four days just to calm everything down."

"After that, they introduced Sun Wukan to me. All three of them became close friends and taught me many things."

"Eventually, they left that world and sent me back here. Before leaving, they gave me all the knowledge I needed to create the greatest sect."

Shaurya paused briefly before continuing.

"After returning, I traveled again and got lost in a strange place. There, inside a cave, I found a magical lamp. Inside it slept a magical beast named Jin."

"A man was guarding it—my father's old friend, Balvin. At first, he mistook me for a thief, but he sensed my father's presence within me and stopped."

"He helped me, trained me, and after hearing my story, he gave me this sword."

Shaurya revealed the Meteorite Sword.

Wang Tian and the City Lord were stunned. Xiao Rui and Xiao Lian stared at it in awe.

"Balvin taught me powerful techniques and teleported me to this land. That is how my journey began… and why I am different from all of you."

Silence filled the air.

Wang Tian didn't fully want to believe it—but the things Shaurya had shown were undeniable.

The City Lord still looked slightly doubtful.

Noticing this, Shaurya spoke calmly,

"I know it's hard to believe. But the sword in my hand, and everything you see in my sect, are proof enough."

The City Lord immediately waved his hands with an awkward smile.

"No, no, Leader Shaurya. You misunderstood. I have no doubts—I'm just processing your mighty story."

Wang Tian nodded slowly in agreement.

The system chimed in,

"Mission complete. Host, when it comes to making stories, you're something else. If I didn't know you, I'd believe it too."

Shaurya replied calmly,

"Thank you, System."
