Backstory: Born to Bootstrap Bill Turner and his wife. His mother raised him by herself. When she died, he traveled to the Caribbean in search of his father. The ship he was on was attacked by the Black Pearl and Elizabeth Swann spotted him in the water on a piece of wood from the ship he was on. He was brought aboard the ship Elizabeth and her father Governor Swann were on. In Port Royal, Will became an apprentice to the town's blacksmith, Mr. Brown, and had to do the work because Mr. Brown would often get very drunk. When pirates attacked Port Royal and "kidnapped" Elizabeth (Elizabeth went with them willingly), Will teamed up with Captain Jack Sparrow to rescue Elizabeth. Will and Elizabeth confessed their love. Both had two more adventures before getting married. Will was killed, but Jack helped him to stab the heart of Davy Jones before he died. Will became the new captain of the Flying Dutchman and can only spend one day once every ten years with Elizabeth on land.
