Chapter 62 - ALLOY’S WORDS

With Ironjaw's attack unleashed, Alloy saw the wave coming, so did everyone else since the ships were now at the same level. It arrived directly in front of her and the next thing everyone knew… a loud clash was heard and all of a sudden, the second and main mast of the ship was now greatly chipped, making it loose from its standing position. They all saw this and began getting worried. Alloy's sword was in the air, a second one, her right handed one. Ironjaw had seen what happened, seeing as it was his attack. Alloy had deflected it with her right sword alone.

"What?!?!" He exclaimed. His face unable to explain what he just saw. "I thought pirates were more than just thieves yearning for treasure… " Alloy began, breaking his train of thought. The air had changed. Kakeha noticing and seeing this as well. It felt thicker, heavier, like she could feel Alloy's emotions screaming, she felt Alloy's anger, her uneasiness, her empathy toward Kakeha. She merely glanced at her bracelet that hung on her right wrist. The words she put together to summarize what she felt gave Kakeha a different outlook on everything. However, Ironjaw also had a tantrum to finish.

"A mere girl like you can't understand the life of pirates. We do whatever we please!!" He barked. "That's true," she replied, her voice lower than expected, her hair still disheveled in front of her forehead, "I don't understand. I also don't understand why this woman is scared of the Syndicate, but…"

He was about to send a snarky reply before he felt the change in the atmosphere as well as his surrounding, now, Damion, Tasue and the three other Syndicate officers were above them, on the bulwark of the Enforcer and looking down at the conclusion of this situation.

The ship had sunk even more, due to the weight of the water and the dead weight of the fallen pirate lackeys, it was on nothing but its last straw. He looked back at her, both her swords were ready, gripped by both hands, her swords facing down on her back with her grip on the hilts right above her shoulders. She looked up at Ironjaw who had prepared another attack as well. Due to his undeniable fear of this girl, he had already shot his attack at her, adding another one behind it. The first had flown halfway straight to Alloy's chest when she eyed it narrowly, clenched her jaw, and finished her statement. Roaring,

"NO ONE SHOULD BE SO AFRAID THAT THEY CAN'T TAKE A CHANCE TO LIVE A BETTER LIFE!!!!"

This statement resonated through everyone, Alloy herself, Damion, Tasue, both Tella and Yukio who were inside the quarters, the three troops, and especially, Kakeha. She was startled. Her beautiful silver eyes translating what she just heard into a wave of feelings, like a lock within her heart finally had a key, and the key took the form of the girl who stood in front of her.

Immediately Ironjaw's first wave pierced the perimeter of her range, Alloy activated her attack. She roared once more. Bringing it to life

"闇波 (Yaminami) — Dark Wave!!"

Her swords had cut through the center of his waves as she unleashed it, they took off to separate areas, the wave to Alloy's left disappeared into the sea. The ones to her left had cut off only a tiny lock of Kakeha's hair, she didn't, nay, couldn't mind it due to her lingering shock of Alloy's previous statement. She just witnessed her huge wave of shadows, so dark, yet gleaming as it flew, like the sun chose to reflect its rays on it. In her eyes, it almost had a shine on it… shot directly from her blades which gleamed similarly. It connected and disintegrated Ironjaw's following wave almost immediately, following up with its on-hit effect. It's slightly diagonal angle had slashed its target diagonally across his torso, forcing blood to splash out from both the wound and his mouth as he fell on his knees, speechless. The silence was felt as Alloy took slow steps, heard by everyone around, every step seemed to weigh more and more on the ship. She watched some of his men get up due to their unconsciousness being disrupted by the water as well as the large wave of power. The few who could rushed to him shouting, "Captain!! Captain!!" As Alloy stood right next to them. She glanced at Ironjaw as his consciousness began fading in and out. Her black hair waved with the wind.

"I'm not a member of the Syndicate, I don't know what they do to pirates…" She turned to look up at Damion and Tasue, then glanced down at Kakeha, still sure that Ironjaw could hear her, "but we're a guild. Never show yourselves to us again." Her legs followed her direction and she began walking back to Kakeha, who's bare feet had began feeling the cold seawater below her when one of the pirates shouted.

"You're just going to leave us here?!?!" Alloy gave him a sharp glance that startled him enough to shut up. She went to Kakeha, who, as much as she hated her captors, didn't want to see them drown, she spoke, "I think there is a small mass of land to the South East. You can make it and recover there." Alloy, surprised by her kindness, ignored it and carried her before leaping behind the five on the bulwark and landing on the deck of the ship where everyone on board had a smile plastered on their face. She let Kakeha down gently, asking one of the troops to cater to her the same way Yukio was catering to Tella below deck. He arrived immediately, placing his hand out for Kakeha to take, his Syndicate uniform had her doubting his intentions, but she glanced back at Alloy, who, with a gentle smile, reassured her. "Don't worry, you're safe with us."

The ship pulled out of the area as one of the other two guys had began steering the tiller right, hence turning the rudder, and the ship left, to get back to their journey. Kakeha decided to trust Alloy's words and she walked with the man into the quarters, she looked back one more time to see Alloy's anger gone after Damion and Tasue went to her to tell her just how well she did. She didn't hear what they said, but. Her smile was vibrant, addictive, it was something Kakeha wanted to feel, the freedom within Alloy.
