Chapter 4 - Episode 4: The Festival Challenge

Scene: Early morning at school, the hallways are buzzing with excitement. Posters for the upcoming school festival hang everywhere. Amane and Mahiru walk side by side, their breath visible in the cold air.

Amane:"Looks like the whole school is hyped up for the festival."

Mahiru:"Yeah. It feels like everyone's waiting for something big."

Amane:"Or someone."

They reach their classroom, where Sayaka is already there with a confident, almost challenging smile.

Sayaka:"So… ready to start planning? Time's ticking."

Mahiru:(nodding)"Let's make this the best festival event ever."

Sayaka:"Don't disappoint me."

Scene shifts to the group meeting in the art room after school. Tables are covered with sketches, notebooks, and colorful markers. Amane, Mahiru, Sayaka, and the others gather around.

Sayaka:"Alright, we need a concept that stands out. Something fresh, exciting, and unforgettable."

Amane:"How about a winter-themed café? It fits the season, and we could make it cozy and welcoming."

Sayaka:"Hmph. Too simple. We need more flair."

Mahiru:"Sometimes simple is best. A place where people can relax and enjoy."

Sayaka:"People want excitement, not relaxation."

The debate grows heated, but Amane tries to keep the mood light.

Amane:"What if we combined both? A cozy café with unique attractions — like live performances or themed events?"

Sayaka:(crossing her arms)"Interesting. But it needs something extra."

Mahiru:"What if we create personalized menus? Something that makes each visitor feel special."

Sayaka:"Hmm… now you're talking."

They work late into the evening, bouncing ideas back and forth. Despite initial friction, the group starts to find common ground.

Scene: Next day during break, Amane and Mahiru sit outside, reviewing plans.

Mahiru:"I'm glad we're working together. It's challenging, but fun."

Amane:"Yeah. Sayaka's tough, but I think she's pushing us to do better."

Mahiru:"Do you think she's… jealous?"

Amane:"Maybe. But jealousy can sometimes mean she cares in her own way."

Suddenly, Sayaka approaches, holding a thick notebook.

Sayaka:"Here. I drafted some ideas for the café decorations. Take a look."

She hands the notebook to Mahiru.

Mahiru:(surprised)"Thanks, Sayaka. This looks amazing."

Sayaka:"Don't get too comfortable. We still have a long way to go."

Scene shifts to after school, the team visits a local craft store to gather materials. Amane carries a box of decorations while Mahiru examines fairy lights.

Amane:"Looks like we're really turning this café into something special."

Mahiru:"I can't wait to see it all come together."

Suddenly, Chitose and Itsuki appear with bright smiles.

Chitose:"Need a hand? We brought extra supplies!"

Itsuki:"And snacks. Can't work on an empty stomach."

Amane:"Perfect timing. The more the merrier."

As they work, laughter and chatter fill the room. The group grows closer, their initial rivalry slowly melting into genuine teamwork.

Later, as the sun sets, Amane and Mahiru take a quiet moment outside.

Mahiru:"Thanks for always supporting me, Amane."

Amane:"I'll always be here. No matter what."

Mahiru smiles softly, leaning her head on his shoulder.

Mahiru:"Together."

Amane:"Together."

Scene: The next day, Sayaka corners Amane near the lockers.

Sayaka:"Don't get complacent. The festival isn't over yet."

Amane:"Neither are we."

Sayaka smirks and walks away, leaving a spark of determination behind.

The episode ends with the group ready to face the upcoming festival, stronger and more united than ever.
