Chapter 190 - Chapter 190: Married

Chapter 190: Married

Jimmy had been gone for six months, and his relationship with Fiona was completely over.

The main conflict between Jimmy and Officer Tony stemmed from Fiona, so logically, they should have no issues now. However, Tony was still keen on locking Jimmy up—not for stealing cars, but to prevent any potential problems.

Tony was wary of the two rekindling their relationship, given their tumultuous past.

After Jimmy had smuggled Frank out of the country, things soured between him and Fiona, leading to their breakup. During that time, Tony had managed to get close to Fiona and had become her new partner.

But what happened next? Jimmy and Fiona eventually reconciled, and Tony, who had just secured his position, found himself back in the friend zone.

Tony was well aware of Jimmy's charm and his way with women. Now that Jimmy was back, it was clear he hadn't given up on Fiona, which set off alarm bells in Tony's mind.

"You still haven't given up on Fiona? It's been six months, and you still haven't won her back. She really doesn't like you," Jimmy remarked.

"Shut up," Tony replied curtly.

"Alright, alright, let's talk about me. Fiona and I are definitely over; you don't need to arrest me. I'm married now," Jimmy quickly changed the subject.

With a screech, Tony slammed on the brakes, bringing the police car to a sudden stop.

"Could you warn me before you hit the brakes?" Jimmy exclaimed, feeling his nose jar against the back of the seat, recalling the winter of six months ago.

"What did you just say? You're married?" Tony asked, turning to face him.

"That's right! Look!" Jimmy said, extending his hand to reveal a ring on his wedding finger.

"You really got married?" Tony looked skeptically at the wedding band.

"It's true! I'm married now, so there's no way Fiona and I will get back together. You know her—if she found out I was married, she'd never consider reconciling with me," Jimmy countered.

"That..." Tony frowned.

Tony did know Fiona well. Though she had a reputation, she would never interfere in someone else's relationship. If she learned Jimmy was married, there would be no chance of them rekindling their romance.

"I don't believe you're married. You might have just switched rings to make it look like you're married," Tony said.

"I'll take you to my place to meet my wife and see our marriage certificate. You'll believe me then," Jimmy offered.

Following the address Jimmy provided, Tony drove to an apartment building.

"Hey, babe, I brought a guest!" Jimmy called out, stopping at the door without immediately unlocking it.

"Are you using a code?" Tony instinctively placed his hand on his gun.

"No code, just literal," Jimmy replied.

After a brief wait, the door opened to reveal a stunning girl who wrapped her arms around Jimmy's neck and kissed him.

"Let me introduce you; this is Estefania, my wife," Jimmy said, embracing the girl as he introduced her to Tony.

"Hello, ma'am," Tony said, eyeing the girl, but quickly cleared his throat and turned away, his cheeks flushing.

More importantly, the girl's stunning figure was a significant distraction for Tony.

"Sweetheart, this is Officer Tony, a friend of mine from America," Jimmy continued.

"Hello. ¥*%&" the girl greeted.

"??" Tony could only recognize the word "hello" from her response.

"Estefania is Brazilian and speaks Portuguese. She's still learning English," Jimmy explained.

"You speak Portuguese?" Tony glanced at Jimmy, surprised.

"Uh, a little. Come on in," Jimmy said.

Once inside, the girl headed to the bedroom, lying on the bed and chatting on her phone in Portuguese.

The bedroom door was open, directly facing the bed.

Tony could clearly see the girl lying there, her long legs and curvy figure on display.

It seemed she noticed Tony's gaze and turned to wink at him before returning to her conversation, making Tony's heart race.

"What's going on?" Jimmy asked, returning with two beers and noticing Tony's restless demeanor.

"Uh, nothing," Tony replied, instinctively sitting up straighter, feeling awkward around Jimmy.

"Here's our marriage certificate. Now you have to believe I'm married," Jimmy said, handing the document to Tony.

"You don't need to show me; I believe you. Looks like you spent the last six months in Brazil," Tony said, taking a sip of his beer to steady his nerves.

"Yeah, I have friends there. I thought I'd see the world a bit. I should take you to Brazil sometime; the girls there are friendly and open-minded," Jimmy chuckled.

"Definitely open-minded," Tony said, recalling the earlier scene.

"By the way, I've been gone for six months. Anything happen while I was away?" Jimmy asked.

"Not much, the biggest news is Iron Man, but that's something everyone knows about," Tony replied.

"Of course. There are plenty of Iron Man fans in Brazil. I never expected Tony Stark would actually admit he's Iron Man at a press conference," Jimmy said, chatting casually.

"But that's not what I meant. I was asking if anything happened down south. What's going on with Fiona's family?" Jimmy inquired subtly.

"Monica reported Fiona's family," Tony said, now less wary of Jimmy after confirming his marriage and briefly summarizing the situation.

Tony was quite familiar with the happenings around Fiona's household, often making his presence known. However, when it came to the child services situation, he was powerless to help.
