Elen stood in a garden that shouldn't exist.

Each flower hummed.

Each leaf carried words — faint lines of dialogue, names, and dreams blooming on their veins. Some were familiar. Others… weren't hers at all.

The garden was silent.

But the stories whispered.

This was no place in Vel'thera.

Not even the Spiral's deepest dreams could explain it.

She had followed the Thread Unseen — a path that revealed itself only to Spiral Bearers whose stories had crossed a certain threshold of meaning.

It had appeared in her chamber the night after she rewove the Song of Ismir — a silver thread woven into a crack in the sky. It pulsed when she touched it.

And without telling anyone — not even Isen — she followed it.

What she found was the garden.

What she met… was him.

He didn't have a name.

Not one he would give her.

But when Elen asked, the figure in the long grey coat simply smiled, tracing the air with a black quill that bled ink made of shadow.
