The Valley of Thorns stretched before them, a place of death and desolation. Blackened spires of bone and twisted metal jutted from the cracked earth. No birds flew here. No wind stirred. The sky above was bruised, roiling with storm clouds and shadow.

Darian stood atop a ridge, cloaked in his dark armor, the Deepfire humming beneath his skin. His eyes, once merely golden, now glowed faintly—like embers.

Behind him, the united army of the realms waited—nervous, silent. Not a soul spoke. Even Kaelin, ever quick with a jest, remained grim-faced, knuckles white on his sword hilt.

Ahead, at the center of the valley, rose the Third Spire. Massive, pulsing with crimson light, it throbbed like a living wound upon the world. Around it stood an army—thousands of Heralds, and in their midst, the monstrous behemoth the scouts had warned of.

A beast of stitched corpses and metal, fused with shadow.

A Reaper Titan.

Sareth whispered, "That… is not natural."
