“Why all of a sudden?” Apollonia asked innocently, even though she already had an idea about the reason.
‘Petra probably wants to keep an eye on me so that nothing happens before my marriage.’
It appeared that Apollonia had provoked Petra’s hunch when she was out of her sight for a while in Lyshan.
She didn’t panic, though. This wasn’t the first time something like this was happening. Even though the detached palace was insignificant, Petra always enjoyed having eyes everywhere.
“It’s His Majesty’s gift to you. He thought you might need a capable attendant since you’re almost engaged, Your Highness,” Morton said, not waiting for her response before leaving after a formal greeting.
Adrianne frowned as she watched him go.
“Who are you, and what family do you come from?” Apollonia greeted the new attendant, observing her closely.
