Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Price Of Treachery

In front of the mirror, a woman in a white nightgown was gently brushing her long, smooth hair. Occasionally, she would glance at her reflection from various angles, admiring her own beauty.

Suddenly, a crash of glass made her turn sharply towards the door.

"Amelia! Ugh!what have you done this time?!"

Andromeda exclaimed, irritation evident in her voice. She set the comb down on the table and stormed towards the door, her footsteps heavy with anger.

"Damn it! That girl can never do anything right! If I catch her, I swear I will—"

Swisshhh!

"Arrghhhhhh! Arrgghhhhhh!!" Andromeda cried out, clutching her bleeding face. She looked at her hands, stained with bright red blood, and screamed again.

"Argghhhhhh! My face!! Arrghhhhhhhh!"

Suddenly, a chilling, ethereal voice shattered the quiet, reminiscent of something from the depths of hell. The voice was both recognizable and strange.

"Good evening sister, we've met once more. Are you glad to see me again?"

Outside the door lay the lifeless bodies of Andromeda's female servants and guards, sprawled in a pool of blood. Some had stab wounds in their chests or stomachs, while others had deep cuts across their throats. Amelia, her closest servant, lay dead with her purple tongue protruding and her eyes wide open.

Andromeda screamed again at the terrifying scene before her. She turned to Solaris, tears flowing down her cheeks, filled with both fear and anger. "What have you done, you crazy bitch?!"

Solaris chucled and leaped through the window, approaching Andromeda with an emotionless expression. She paused in front of the corpses, coldly gazing at them for a moment before stepping onto one of the bodies, her heel piercing through an eye and causing a spray of blood and fluid.

Andromeda looked at Solaris in terror, realizing that the person before her was not sane. Fear washed over her, and cold sweat began to bead on her forehead.

"Stay back! Don't come any closer!!"

"Why not? We're just going to have some fun."

Andromeda felt a chill run down her spine at those words. It was the same word she had uttered before taking the lives of their relatives.

Solaris is her half-sister. Despite both of them receiving equal love and care from those around them, Andromeda couldn't understand how the daughter of a prostitute could be cherished by her father and family. Didn't they remember that her mother had taken her own life because of the shame brought on by that "bitch" being born from that "filthy whore"?

What infuriated her the most was how everyone acted as if nothing had happened after her mother's death. It seemed only just for her to want to eliminate them all!

Solaris had taken everything from her! They had shown her more love and care. They all deserved to die! It wasn't fair to place all the blame on her, they had pushed her to commit those acts. It's all their fault!

But why does Solaris want to kill her? Andromeda should be grateful that Solaris spared her life and even requested the king to give her to the Earl's son as a plaything.

Not as a servant, but as a sex slave. Why? Isn't that what her mother does? She should be pleased that she and her mother are growing closer!

"Stay back! Don't come any closer!" Andromeda shouted, shaking her head frantically, the madness evident in her eyes.

"Andromeda.. You must pay for what you've done."

As she crawled backward, Andromeda spotted a vase, picked it up, and hurled it at Solaris. Solaris effortlessly blocked it with her hand, causing the vase to shatter and scatter across the floor.

Unfazed, Solaris approached her, the sound of her boots crunching on the broken pieces echoing in the air. She seized Andromeda's black hair, pulling her head back to force her to look up.

"No, no! Let go!" Andromeda cried, tears streaming down her face, her eyes red as she desperately tried to free herself from Solaris' grip. "Fuck you! Let go of me!"

Ignoring her pleas, Solaris slowly pulled out a pair of daggers from her pocket and pressed them against Andromeda's delicate face.

The moonlight glinted off the blades, accentuating Solaris' chilling smile. The sharp edge sliced into Andromeda's fair skin, causing blood to trickle down.

"Heh. Let's enjoy our time together, sister..."

"Fuck! What on earth is this?!"

Bruno exclaimed in a shocked, high-pitched voice. "Damn dude, is this Andromeda? That fucking Andromeda-bitch?"

"Hey, it's best to keep your distance from that intense woman. Don't get too near her. If she becomes jealous of another woman, I fear you might end up like her one day."

"....."

"Becoming an enemy of Solaris is a really bad move! Tsk, tsk!" Bruno said, shaking his head and feeling chills. Fortunately, Solaris isn't interested in him and is in love with someone else. Maybe she doesn't even realize it, and neither does Evan.

Sigh.

What a sad love story.

Evan, not fully understanding the reason for his sigh, gazed at the horrific sight of a corpse that had been skinned alive. The body was disfigured, with a few strands of hair stuffed into its mouth.

Evan learned from Bruno about the fate of Solaris' family. One night, in the dead of night, Solaris' entire family and their servants were brutally murdered. Andromeda, aided by the king's men, invaded Solaris' home and slaughtered everyone without giving them a chance to defend themselves.

Andromeda drowned their youngest brother in a pool, decapitated her father and aunt, skinned her female cousin alive, and the servants were all raped and violently killed by the king's guards.

Only Solaris managed to survive, thanks to her closest cousin, but she was eventually captured and imprisoned.

Andromeda had once been jealous of their cousin's long, curly brown hair and had viciously cut it off, leading to the woman's death. Afterward, she burned all the bodies in Solaris' home.

Andromeda had eliminated everyone else.

Unable to burn Andromeda in the same way, as it would delay their escape from the tower, she opted to skin her alive instead. Using a glass porcelain vase, she inserted it into Andromeda's genitals. Her arms were twisted in a horrific manner, and the tips of her fingers were severed.

Evan shuddered in fear and took one last look at the corpse before following Bruno upstairs.

Thanks to their efforts, Bruno's team had already breached the empire's defenses. Evan was tasked with helping citizens evacuate, and with the aid of mecha ships, everyone was safely transported to a secure area, away from the conflict between the Empire and the Big Dipper.

The battle raged on outside the palace. Even from the second floor, Bruno could hear the sounds of clashing blades and walls being smashed.

"It's Solaris!" Bruno shouted.

Without waiting for Evan's reply, he rushed toward the source of Solaris' voice, finding her wounded but still engaged in a fierce one-on-one fight with the heavily armored Emperor.

"Get out of the way, you insane woman!"

Solaris heard Bruno shout at her as he rushed towards the king with a massive drill spinning on his right arm and an axe in his left hand.

Seeing this, Solaris quickly thrust her mecha's dagger into the wall to pin the king and dodged to the side, leaving no chance for the other to escape Bruno's strike.

"Urgh!"

The king groaned in agony and spat blood from the force of the blow, while the drill continued to bore into his stomach as he tried to shield himself with his gun.

"Are you crazy? I nearly got hit!" Solaris shouted at Bruno.

Bruno chuckled. "But you didn't get hit, did you?" he replied, grunting as he stepped back and swung his sword at the king.

The Emperor noticed his movement and quickly raised his hand to activate his machine gun.

Solaris was ready to respond with anger when she noticed the king trying to strike Bruno.

"Watch out!"
