Chapter 5 - chap.5: memories pt.2

Birds began to caw at the moment of day as they flew above the morning sky of New York directly over CUNY. Within a separate building of the school is Victors lab.

The outside was completely the opposite to what laid out. The structure was of monumental success at least for the levels of a college with the brick and roof placement.

Around the building was a side walk of cement decorating around the entire campus proving a right foothold for any vehicle or footwear.

Closing in on the building high heels began to click and clack against the cemented pavement attracting any looks from those around her. In her eyes these looks were not wanted but necessary towards her goals.

As she closed in on the buildings entrance a staff member of the campus an overweight woman held a lanyard in one hand while the other was around her neck. The lanyard read Tasha's Burns and over weight white women with brunette hair and blue eyes with the school attire of a professor.

"Hello Miss Morozova here's your lanyard for this lab and I hope you enjoy your time here." Tasha spoke with a hint worry by the end of her sentence warning a curious glance from Miss Morozova.

But she knew the rumors of the things that have gone around this lab as some birds have been found to be frozen into a statue about three years ago.

Miss Morozova would be lying if she claimed to not be scared, but the value of this lab intrigued her. Several nights ago a man by the name of Simon Stag had invited her for dinner at an expensive restaurant where a simple side could be worth half her tuition at CUNY.

Simon spoke of an assistant position for five hours a day with the rest of that time being spent in her own studies. This proposal was interesting to say the least but what sunk her in was the sharks jaws of pay.

Now a step away from entering Miss Morozova looked at the reflection of herself seeing specifically the greed in her eyes and felt revolted by it. Sterling herself she scanned her lanyard and place the lanyard around her neck letting it pass her own brown hair as the mechanism within the door opened providing entry.

As the doors shushed the assistant walked through marveled by what she saw next. Machines, computers, and paperwork strewn all along the walls.

Victor unknown to her presence began theoretically amplifying the liquid Nitrogen dosage through his computer screen hopping to identify anything at all.

"Interesting? Is that a Cancer cell?" A feminine voice echoed through the lab causing Victor to stir and turn around finding in a word something irrefutably Beautiful.

A woman standing at 5 feet and five inches. Brown hair the showed and styled for professionalism, glasses over her eyes like a shield casing over the most brilliant amber eyes, a red tailored work attire and shoes. And most of all a sense of belonging over her peers.

These quality's were nothing of what Victor expected and feelings he didn't comprehend or knew how to explain to hold it was as if something took a hold of him and wouldn't let go.

"W-Who are you?" Victor barely uttered as his new assistant garnered her own look of her knee partner. "I am Nora Morozova your new assistant." Punctual and factual Nora spoke like her aura entailed like she belonged.

Victor struggled with a comeback as his mind began unraveling itself for answers until Simon Stag's annoying voice echoed in his mind.

Victor struggled still but still came up with a chore for Nora to upheld and so she did with skills he wasn't expecting.

This continued for till both of their graduations a total of 1,359 days. This time was due to Victor insisting on withholding his graduation date for a year later for Nora as the two had sparked something far more than a working relationship. During this time Simon endured his own endeavors.

"What? Cut off!!!!" Simon screamed in agony as his father Rupert Stag stood over him at his desk made purely of maple wood. And fashioned to fit a rich man.

"Yes. For not showing any progress for anything. Studies, sciences, and relationships. You are a failure! All you will have now is a thousand dollars to get upright. Now leave!" Rupert forward and voiced filled with authority ordered his now disowned son away.

Simon confused looked to his siblings who shared no sympathy with him as the guards of the Stag household threw him out.

Once thrown away Simon looked at his surroundings now outside his hallowed family home on the streets with only the clothes on his back and the thousand in his account.

And like any rich spoiled child Simon gambled throwing it all away until he started taking what he didn't have.

"Stop!! Please I can get you money!!" Simon begged as two men in black and wore fedoras held him by both hands and gunpoint making sure he wouldn't escape.

"And why should I believe a man in debt to me?" A hidden third man suddenly appeared aged with greyed wisdom as his hair was cut short. His skin a tan of what it used to be as he wore an Italian cut suit.

"Please mister Maroni I'm good for it I swear!" Simon begging for the owner of the gambling den he lost all his funds in begged until something happened.

Theo thug holding him by his collar dropped him undoing so caused a chain of events. Simon hits the ground and with it his CDD drawing and with it medications to make it more lethal.

"Oh? How interesting?"
