"You are no match for me."
Zenkichi's voice was calm, cold, yet carried a relaxed confidence as he faced the Wolf God. The collision of their powers moments ago had already told him everything. The gap between them was clear.
The clash in the skies had left traces only the two of them could sense. The sunlit space Zenkichi commanded was slowly eroding into the Wolf God's domain, inch by inch. Though subtle and nearly imperceptible to outsiders, it was enough.
"The hatred between you and me can end here," the Wolf God said, attempting to ease the tension. His tone lacked its usual ferocity, betraying his fear. "If you leave me be, I will not trouble you again. I can even give you Loki."
He knew the truth—Zenkichi's strength surpassed his.
"You want to make peace?" Zenkichi's gaze was sharp, his voice as indifferent as steel. "I already gave you a choice before, and you refused. Do you regret it now?"
The Wolf God hesitated but pressed on. "Do you accept, or do you reject?"
"What if I refuse?" Zenkichi's lips curved into a faint smile, but it carried only mockery. His eyes locked onto the Wolf God, piercing through him without mercy.
"If you refuse…" the Wolf God's voice hardened, though sweat beaded on his forehead, "…then it will come to a desperate battle. Do not think you are the only one with trump cards. I did not rise to this level without hidden means. Even now, I am not without strength. If it comes to it, I will drag you down with me. Do you believe I won't?"
He tried to sound threatening, but the words rang hollow. To be cornered and yet attempt to intimidate Zenkichi—such arrogance was laughable.
"You lack sincerity," Zenkichi replied, his calm tone masking the anger beneath. His words cut sharper than blades.
The Wolf God, face steady as still water, countered, "And you are not sincere either. Otherwise, you would have already struck."
But the cold sweat dripping down his temple betrayed him. He was afraid.
"Then there is nothing more to say," Zenkichi declared. His voice rose like a judgment. "When you chose to oppose me, you sealed your fate. You die here!"
At his words, the world behind him trembled. The blazing sun at his back burned with even greater brilliance, its overwhelming force consuming the Wolf God's collapsing space.
The air itself shuddered with the sound of destruction, like something divine devouring the sky.
Those watching below could only stare in awe, their hearts pounding with an alien terror. It felt as though they were witnessing the fall of a god, as if the heavens themselves were chewing through a once-great existence.
A fear unlike anything before gripped them.
And yet, above it all, Zenkichi stood unshaken.
