Eva arched a brow at his brazenness and let out a wicked laugh that rolled off her tongue. "You asked for it." She rose to her feet and crossed the room. The closet door creaked open, and she reached inside with quick, decisive fingers, retrieving two delicate silk scarves.
When she turned back, Alex was watching her intently, one arm folded behind his head as if this were all a game he'd already won. His gaze followed the scarves.
Eva returned to the bed with the scarves dangling from her fingers. She moved to his feet, her shadow falling over him. Her smile was nothing short of wicked.
"What are you doing?" Alex asked, his brow quirking upwards. For the first time, there was a note of uncertainty threading through his voice. It was intrigue, the rare thrill of being pushed where he hadn't intended to go.
"Taking your control away from you. Let's see how you will do without it."
