Two large trucks drove the team to the forest, the part that was not covered by the bubble. Three squads had been sent ahead to secure the area. Major Grayson and a small team of comms officers were operating inside a mobile command bus that Sunshine had finished repairing the previous night.
Drones hovered above, flying back and forth like insects being forced by gravity to remain within a certain space. The sky above glared with harsh rays, the kind that made anyone that was not in a solar bodysuit regret leaving their house for more than a minute.
One by one, the seven that would be taking part in the demonstration climbed out of the roof one truck and stood on its roof. They got into formation, with Sunshine naturally at the center. None of their heads was inside the exo suit helmets. They were smiling, laughing and teasing each other.
