"So it's a dōjutsu. I see. Are you an Uchiha?"
Kakashi had also noticed the opponent's blood-red eyes at this moment. As he avoided their gaze, the strength in his hand increased slightly.
"Your dōjutsu is indeed powerful. But as long as one adapts to this feeling, it's possible to overcome that sense of disharmony temporarily."
Yōwan nodded in understanding.
"I see. As expected of the genius of Konoha."
"Then, state your name, unknown Uchiha."
Kakashi still wanted to extract more information from the opponent and didn't notice the danger quietly approaching.
"Kakashi, get back!"
Sensing an intense fluctuation in ocular power, Obito shouted urgently.
Although he didn't understand why Obito suddenly raised his voice, Kakashi trusted him and instantly retreated from Yōwan's side.
A black skeletal frame emerged at that moment and smashed the skeleton that was binding Yōwan with a single punch.
"Susanoo!"
Because he had activated Susanoo and didn't want to waste too much ocular power, Yōwan canceled his dōjutsu.
Takeshi and the others' vision finally returned to normal.
"Holy crap."
"A Uchiha with this kind of power... there's only one person that comes to mind." Kakashi rolled across the ground and hid beside Takeshi.
"I know who you're thinking of, but clearly, this isn't him."
Correcting Kakashi's mistake, Takeshi clasped his hands together. He was visibly excited—finally getting the chance to unleash his most badass move.
"After all, that legendary figure could never be stabbed through the chest so easily. Sage Art: Ice Release—Wind Spirit!"
A giant made of ice, not much shorter than Susanoo, appeared in front of Yōwan.
Yōwan: ?
He didn't seem to understand why the opponent could also summon such a colossal giant, and didn't react immediately.
The Wind Spirit, holding a shield in its left hand and a sword in its right, charged straight in when Yōwan failed to respond. It struck Susanoo's skull with a heavy shield bash.
"What the hell? Since when could Takeshi use such powerful ninjutsu?!"
Obito was dumbfounded as he stood on the ground watching the two giants clash above. For a moment, he even felt the urge to activate his own Susanoo.
"Isn't this normal?" Kakashi, who had long grown used to Takeshi's tendency to shock everyone from time to time, patted Obito's shoulder while keeping his eyes locked on the battlefield, ready to strike the unknown Uchiha at the next opportunity.
"How dare mere ants challenge the glory of the Uchiha!"
Furious after being repeatedly struck by the shield, Yōwan shoved the Wind Spirit away. Flesh made of chakra began to cover the skeletal frame.
Susanoo—Second Form.
This form of Susanoo possessed its own weapon—a razor-sharp longsword.
"Futsu no Mitama!"
As Yōwan swung down the blade, the Wind Spirit's shield-bearing left arm was severed.
"What the hell?!"
Takeshi was devastated seeing his painstakingly crafted 'Gundam' so easily damaged.
Why?
Why could this guy cut down his giant with a single swing, when Takeshi himself had failed to even crack Susanoo's defense after all that effort?
"You bastard! You really cut down my Gundam, huh?!"
Enraged and humiliated, Takeshi made a decision—to show this Uchiha what true artistry looked like!
Using the Flying Thunder God Technique, Takeshi teleported out of the Wind Spirit and reappeared beside Obito. Taking advantage of the remaining duration of Sage Mode, he activated his jutsu:
"Sage Art: Ice Explosion!"
The out-of-control Wind Spirit began to glow with dazzling white light. Before Yōwan could even understand what was happening, a violent explosion engulfed him.
"Wait—Takeshi! We're still close to the cave!"
While fleeing, Kakashi didn't forget to shout a reminder.
"Huh?"
Takeshi, startled by Kakashi's words, suddenly remembered the cave near the explosion site.
"You've gotta be kidding me!"
Takeshi froze. Now it really looked like he had masterminded the plan to kill the Nine-Tails' jinchūriki!
At this point, the explosion had already happened—there was no turning back.
Feeling the intense heat wave behind them, none of the three dared look back at the blast site.
Only after the rumbling fully subsided did the three of them finally turn around, trembling.
The forest and river had turned into a scorched wasteland. The cave they were using for operations had vanished, leaving only broken rocks as proof it ever existed.
The three exchanged glances in silence for a moment, then simultaneously began searching for Yōwan's figure.
They all shared the same belief—someone as strong as Minato-sama surely escaped before the explosion hit.
Now, they had to find that mysterious Uchiha.
"Strange. With all this commotion, why hasn't backup arrived?"
Scanning the surroundings warily, Obito was puzzled as to where the village's reinforcements were.
"Who knows... Hm? Minato-san?!"
Takeshi, also on alert, suddenly heard a sound from behind. When he turned, he saw a somewhat familiar silhouette and instinctively assumed it was Minato.
As if to confirm Takeshi's guess, the figure revealed iconic blonde hair.
"Minato?"
Hearing Takeshi's voice, both Obito and Kakashi looked in that direction.
Minato didn't respond. He simply staggered toward Takeshi.
"You okay? By the way, where's Kushina-san? What about Biwako-sama?"
Takeshi, guilt-ridden upon realizing he may have harmed Minato, rushed over to help. Just as he reached out, he felt a sharp pain in his waist.
A ninja blade stabbed straight into Takeshi's side, the entire blade vanishing into his body and piercing through him.
He who stabs others shall be stabbed.
Takeshi personally experienced what it felt like to have someone shank him in the waist.
"You're..."
"Hmph. A brat from the Shimura clan. I didn't expect you to pull off such a terrifying jutsu."
Yōwan wasn't doing well either. Although Susanoo absorbed most of the explosion's damage, the residual impact still left him heavily injured. Luckily, thanks to the support of Hashirama cells, he hadn't gone to meet Uchiha Madara just yet.
"Takeshi!" ×2
Kakashi and Obito shouted in trembling voices as they watched Takeshi get stabbed. They rushed toward him.
Obito even used Kamui remotely, attempting to twist Yōwan's head off.
"This fluctuation... I see. I understand your dōjutsu now."
Sensing the distortion of space around him, Yōwan didn't panic. He once again activated his dōjutsu, inverting their perception.
[Isobu, give me some chakra!]
Grimacing from the pain, Takeshi frantically called to Isobu in his consciousness.
[Isobu: Already on it!]
"Then... farewell, brat!"
Declaring his final words, Yōwan prepared to deliver the killing blow to Takeshi.
"In your dreams..."
Red chakra gushed from Takeshi's body, enveloping him completely—and even began spreading toward Yōwan.
