Once she stabilized her footing, Alice quickly dragged the battered and barely conscious Huang Liu to safety.
After passing him over to Jill and the others for treatment, she turned back with a serious expression and warned,
"Be careful. That thing's not dead yet."
Having recovered some of her lost memories after a period of amnesia, Alice was now vaguely aware of the changes in herself.
She still didn't know the exact reason, but she could clearly feel that her physical capabilities had been drastically enhanced.
Sharper eyesight. Stronger hearing. Her speed, strength, stamina, and even some indescribable sensory abilities had all undergone a significant boost.
It reminded her of a scene from a Marvel comic—
The Super Soldier Serum turning Steve Rogers into Captain America.
Just as she finished speaking, a deafening roar burst from the burning flames behind them.
It was like a wild beast—furious and defiant.
A towering figure burst from the fire, its body charred black, and lunged straight toward Alice.
BOOM!
Before it could take more than a few steps, a gunshot rang out from a rooftop in the distance.
The Tyrant's head erupted in a splash of blood.
Already badly damaged, the additional trauma to its brain threw it off balance.
It staggered mid-charge and almost collapsed.
Alice didn't miss the opportunity. With a single leap, she covered nearly five meters in one bound, jamming the barrel of her shotgun directly into the Tyrant's eye socket.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Three muffled shots echoed in quick succession.
Thick, putrid brain matter exploded from the Tyrant's eyes, ears, and mouth, along with a shower of blood.
The monstrous figure—larger than life—finally crashed to the ground for good.
No more resistance.
No more revival.
Then, without wasting a moment, Alice drew her handgun and fired several shots into the night sky.
THUD!
A sharp impact rang out as something was struck midair.
BOOM!
An explosion followed.
One of Umbrella Corporation's surveillance drones had been obliterated.
"Damn it! What is Alice doing here?!"
Back at Umbrella's remote operations center, the commander erupted in rage.
"Activate the remaining four T-103 Tyrants and the prototype Nemesis immediately! I want Alice and her crew boxed in!"
"Yes, sir!"
With that order, deep within one of Raccoon City's underground bunkers, the internal systems sprang to life.
Four dormant T-103 Tyrants and one experimental Nemesis slowly emerged from their cryogenic chambers.
As the heavy steel gates opened to the surface…
The four Tyrants walked out unarmed, just as before.
But the Nemesis paused.
From a nearby weapons rack, it grabbed a Gatling gun with one hand and slung a rocket launcher onto its back before striding into the night.

Meanwhile, unaware that death was fast approaching, Alice was introducing herself to Huang Liu's squad.
"My name's Alice. I used to work for Umbrella… but I ended up as one of their test subjects."
She paused, realizing there was no need to get too detailed.
"Anyway, it doesn't really matter now. What I'm trying to say is–
Hey, guys, wanna team up and get the hell out of this nightmare?"
Hearing the invitation, Li Wei—who had been desperate to find a big name to cling to—immediately replied,
"Yes!"
After getting their asses kicked by two Tyrants in a row, missing out on this opportunity would've been an absolute loss.
Jill and the others didn't recognize Alice, but she had just saved their lives. They had no reason to say no.
Besides, she was clearly stronger than any of them—this alliance was nothing but an advantage.
Alice added,
"I've got a few teammates on the way. I'll introduce you once they get here."
A few minutes later, a blood-smeared compact car slowly pulled up.
Several figures stepped out.
The moment one of them—a dark-haired woman—appeared, a few of the Purgators blinked in recognition.
Their brains instantly jumped to a possibility:
'Ada Wong?'
And sure enough, Alice began introducing the newcomers:
"These are my teammates: Chris Redfield, his sister Claire Redfield, Rebecca Chambers, Carlos Oliveira, and Ada Wong. They're all reliable—in both skill and character."
Each of them gave Huang Liu's group a polite nod of acknowledgment.
The Purgators, meanwhile, felt as if they'd been hit by a bolt of lightning.
'Holy shit—this is a full-on Resident Evil protagonist squad?!'
Leon, Jill, Claire, Chris, Carlos, Ada Wong. Plus a T-virus-enhanced Alice?
This fusion of the movie and game universes had created an all-star dream team.
With this lineup, their combat power had skyrocketed exponentially.
'We're golden! Even if another two Tyrants show up, we're fine! Umbrella can't stop us now!'
Li Wei was instantly filled with renewed confidence, even feeling the urge to throw up a victory sign on the spot.
Thankfully, he still had enough self-awareness to stop himself.
What he didn't know, however, was that Umbrella wasn't just sending two more Tyrants.
They were sending four Tyrants plus a Nemesis armed with a Gatling gun and a rocket launcher.
This loadout could wipe out an entire elite U.S. Marine company.
—
A few minutes later…
While the five deadly bioweapons galloped their way over like dark horsemen of the apocalypse, Alice's squad had finished regrouping.
Since there wasn't enough gas left in the vehicle—and definitely not enough space for everyone—they had no choice but to continue on foot.
As they walked, idle chatter began to fill the air.
Perhaps it was fate—or maybe just instinct—but Leon had clearly fallen for Ada Wong at first sight.
He couldn't stop himself from striking up awkward conversations, trying to engage her with random topics.
And every time Ada responded with a teasing smirk, Leon turned red and jittery like a monkey rediscovering its primitive roots.
The cringe levels were astronomical.
It was enough to make every other guy present silently gag.
'Simp behavior will not be rewarded.'
One of the Purgators even spat to the side in contempt, then reached into his backpack.
He pulled out a bottle of Coke and offered it to Alice with an overly enthusiastic grin.
"Big Boss, you must be tired. Want a drink?"
Alice didn't quite understand why this random man was calling her "Boss," but she was a little thirsty. So she accepted the soda.
"Thanks."
"No problem at all. Just a small gesture."
Hearing her thank him, the Purgator nodded with satisfaction—convinced he could almost hear the Matrix Purgatory whispering sweetly in his ear:
[You've earned the Boss's gratitude: Survival Rate +1… +1…]
