Chapter 3 - The First Test

The forest was eerily silent as dawn broke. The group—Zara, Malik, Lina, Efe, and Jayden—moved cautiously, following the trail of footprints they discovered the previous day. The dense foliage made progress slow, and every snapped twig set their nerves on edge.

Suddenly, a mechanical voice echoed through the trees:

*"Participants, your first test begins now. Objective: Retrieve the supply crate located at coordinates 17.3N, 88.5E. Beware of obstacles."*

A holographic map appeared on their wristbands, displaying the coordinates.

Jayden smirked. "Looks like a scavenger hunt."

Zara frowned. "Or a trap."

Malik took the lead. "Either way, we need that crate."

As they navigated the terrain, they encountered various challenges: a river with a broken bridge, a field of thorny vines, and a steep hill. Teamwork was essential. Malik helped Efe across the river; Lina found a safe path through the vines; Zara and Jayden worked together to scale the hill.

Reaching the coordinates, they found the crate suspended from a tree. As they strategized on retrieving it, a group of three teens emerged from the shadows, weapons drawn.

"Hand over the crate," one demanded.

Zara stepped forward. "We can share."

The leader sneered. "No sharing in survival."

A tense standoff ensued. Suddenly, Lina threw a rock, distracting the opposing group. Malik seized the opportunity, tackling one of them. A brief skirmish followed, resulting in the opposing group retreating.

Breathing heavily, the team retrieved the crate, finding essential supplies: food, water, and medical kits.

As they rested, Zara looked around. "This was just the first test. We need to be prepared for what's next."

The group nodded, the weight of the game settling in.
