Chapter 2 - Chapter 2. The Prince become a mercenary.

"Uncle Kellen I heard we have a mission?" A young guy with green eyes and blonde hair

entered the room

"Luren your back?" the old man smile after seeing the Prince.

"Dad I am here too" a The young women pouted while looking at his father. They drop their bag and sit on the couch.

"Welcome back my children" he hug the two and pat their head. "Your mother is waiting at

home they missed you a lot"

"Yeah we have to go meet mother, let's go Luren" Clara grab his right arm and led him

outside.

Kellen and Marian get married and they have a have a kids Clara and Kal the boy is only ten yrs old and Clara is Seventeen. They wanted to tell the Prince that they where

also their child but they cant do that to their King and Queen.

When Luren was fifthteen, they told him the

truth and gave him the necklace that the Queen had put on him when he was a

baby. He also taught Luren and Clara self-defense to protect themselves.

Kellen also founded the mercenary group known as the Black Vultures, a name once used for the late King Daren's secret bodyguards. He revived it to honor their unwavering loyalty and sacrifice. Some of those bodyguards had survived the war scarred but alive and they became the core members of the Black Vultures. They were the ones who trained Luren and Clara, teaching them how to fight and defend themselves.

Kellen quietly opened the second drawer of his desk and retrieved a small, worn box. Inside lay the badge a symbol of the king's most trusted shadows. As he picked it up, a heavy silence filled the room. The cold silver metal glinted faintly in the light, shaped with two crossed black spears behind the proud emblem of Elarion, the silver lion with piercing green eyes.

His chest tightened.

Memories surged in, uninvited. Faces long gone. Voices silenced by war. He stared at the badge with a lingering sorrow, a deep longing settling in his heart. It wasn't just a relic, it was a reminder of the oath they swore, the king they lost, and the kingdom that crumbled.

""Mother, your prodigal daughter has returned," Clara happily announced as we arrived at the house.

"Mother were here!!" Luren said while opening the front door. She treated Marian as her mother even though he know he is the head maid. It was her request to call her

mother.

"Welcome back!" Marian happily hug the two " Go clean yourself while I set the dining

table.

"Where is Kal? I have something for him" Luren asked

"He's at the treehouse playing," Marian replied with a small smile before heading to the dining area.

"I'm so full... I think I'll sleep first," Clara groaned, rubbing her stomach before lazily heading to her bedroom.

"How's the job going?" Marian asked Luren gently as they sat together, sharing a bowl of fresh fruit.

"We recovered the maps easily. We'll use them for the next mission, to infiltrate the rebels' carriage," Luren said, Marian was a member of the Black Vultures.

"You should get some rest," she added with a gentle smile, her eyes softening for a moment.

Luren gave a small nod. His body felt heavy, worn from the day's events. Without another word, he quietly turned and left to rest. Fatigue weighed on him like armor, thick and unrelenting.
