Clark's dad asked if she had started school yet, and Yvonne replied with a bright smile, "yes, sir! I just got admitted today after moving here from Mexico with my mom!"
Curiosity sparked, Clark's mom inquired, "What made you move to the U.S.?" Yvonne explained how she wanted to pursue her education in the States, her enthusiasm evident in every word.
As the conversation flowed, Yvonne's phone buzzed with a text from her mom: "Honey, where are you?" She quickly typed back, "At Clark's home! I'll fill you in later."
But as evening approached, it was time for Yvonne to head home. Clark's mom reassured her that she was always welcome, making her feel like part of the family. Yvonne expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Bieber family for their warm hospitality.

Just then, an Uber driver arrived, and as she climbed in, she turned back to wave at Clark, her heart racing with excitement for the new adventures ahead.
After Yvonne left, Clark's phone suddenly rang. It was Bella calling him. He answered with a warm "Hello, Ma! How can I help you?" Bella asked, "How was your lunch with Yvonne?"
Clark was surprised and asked how she knew about it. Bella explained that she had overheard their conversation while talking to her parents.
"Oh, no wonder," he murmured, "it was actually great." Bella, feeling a bit hurt, didn't hide her frustration.
Clark then suggested they go out together after school the next day, but Bella couldn't help but wonder why.
The next day, Bella visited her mom's store, leaving their trusted neighbor in charge. As she left for school, she confided in Kim about her plans with Clark, and Kim's curiosity piqued. However, Bella herself was at a loss for words regarding why they were going out together. Sam overheard their conversation and informed Yvonne.

Meanwhile, Clark was at a team meeting for the basketball game with his friends when Yvonne decided to take matters into her own hands. She left her class and approached him in the courtyard, whispering his name. "Hi, Clark, I came to talk to you privately," she said.
Clark excused himself from his friends to chat with her. "What's up? Why did you sneak out of class? Is this conversation that important?"
Yvonne replied, "It's very important. I need to know what your relationship is with Bella."
Clark gave a slight smile, brushing his hand through his hair, and said, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you about her; she's just a friend."
But Yvonne countered, "If she's just a friend, why keep it a secret from me and your family?" She explained that no one in his circle knew about her.
"Not everyone needs to know," Clark insisted, "she's just a school friend; it's no big deal." When he asked how she found out, Yvonne admitted she had overheard a conversation about meeting him.
Just then, Caleb, one of Clark's friends, interrupted, calling, "Hey buddy, you're missing a lot. Come listen to what the coach is saying!"
Clark told Yvonne they could talk later and returned to his meeting. Yvonne went back to class, her mind racing with thoughts.
Bella, noticing Yvonne's intense look, turned to Kim and asked, "Why is she looking at me like that?" Kim replied teasingly, "Maybe she thinks you took something that belongs to her," and they both laughed, but Bella felt a bit uneasy.
After school, as students filed out, Bella told Kim she would catch up later and made her way to meet Clark. She spotted Yvonne and Clark talking from afar, unable to hear their conversation.
Yvonne expressed a wish to join them, but Clark declined, saying he needed to go to the market to pick up something for his mom.
Yvonne insisted, "But you don't need to go with her. What if something happens to you? Just order it online!" Frustrated and feeling embarrassed, Yvonne decided to text Clark's mom.
Clark and Bella got into an Uber, and Bella nervously asked where they were headed. "It's a surprise," he replied, and she fell silent, curiosity bubbling inside her.
