All afternoon, Lysithea had failed to cross paths with Terran. Her heart was set on a confrontation, but she had consistently found his chamber door locked. Nursing a pang of rejection, she had retreated to her room, immersing herself in the book of medicinal herbs she hadn’t touched in ages. Time slipped away as she read, and dinner was served without her noticing.

Just like that, she missed sharing another meal with Terran.

So, when Lysithea finally made it downstairs, she sat at the table and ate alone at a leisurely pace. As she chewed, she thought about the words she needed to convey to Terran, the assurances that she needed to make clear, organizing all these plans neatly in her mind. In the end, she added them up altogether and came to a singular conclusion.

What Terran truly desired was trust.
