Chapter 205 - Chapter 205 - Ambition

"What, you have an opinion?" Giovanni's voice betrayed no emotion.

Chen Long hastily shook his head and replied earnestly, "No, we will complete the tasks you assign us, even if it costs us our lives."

However, as he said this, Rat and Ox behind him looked as if they wanted to beat him up.

He took on the task, and then made them do it; it was truly infuriating.

Chen Long felt the unfriendly gazes from behind him and couldn't help but shiver.

Giovanni smiled slightly, "You certainly know how to talk. Don't worry, you won't be doing everything yourselves; I'll send some reserve members to accompany you."

Upon hearing this, Rat and Ox behind them finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Yes, thank you, Boss Giovanni."

Just like that, the base began its orderly repairs.

Once everything was back on track, Giovanni instructed Anke, Vicious, and Yotaro, who were quietly following him, "You three, come with me."

Although the three didn't know what Giovanni was going to do, they obediently followed him.

Upon returning to the training camp, Giovanni waved for Ashin and Mars to come over.

After Ashin arrived, he first reported to Giovanni, "Boss, everything has been taken care of. Five people were eliminated, and the others are not an issue."

Then, upon seeing Anke, he spoke with some surprise, "Isn't this Master Anke? Long time no see."

Anke looked somewhat ashamed. "Yes, it's embarrassing to say, but I was trapped in my room, couldn't even get out, and had no chance to manage you all."

Ashin knew that Giovanni bringing Anke meant he was implicitly accepted as one of their own, so he certainly wouldn't speak too much.

"It's no problem, Boss already made all the arrangements. See, we're all fine."

Mars, covered in wounds nearby, rolled his eyes.

Giovanni interrupted them, "Alright, enough small talk. I've brought you together to assign you new tasks."

The few of them immediately became serious, turning to look at Giovanni, ready to receive orders.

Giovanni explained his mission, "Actually, the mission is similar. Although the Squadron Leader and squad leaders have been dealt with, there are still some loyal members and personnel from other departments. Uproot everyone who needs to be uprooted."

As he said this, he specifically looked at Anke, "You can handle this, right, Anke?"

Anke immediately patted his chest, "Don't worry, Boss, leave it to me. I have the list of Captain Price's subordinates."

Giovanni lightly patted his shoulder, "Good, don't disappoint me."

Anke replied confidently, "Yes, I guarantee mission completion."

Giovanni waved his hand, "Go on. There are other tasks waiting for you later. Ashin, you can continue to be responsible for these reserve members."

As Anke left with Vicious and Mars.

Giovanni patted Ashin's shoulder, "When you're done, bring Archer and the others to my room. I have some things to tell you."

Then Giovanni turned and left.

Looking at Giovanni's retreating figure, the fervor in Ashin's eyes did not diminish; instead, it grew even more intense.

That night, Giovanni's three true confidants gathered in his room once again.

Shadows were also considered, but their chances of becoming Senior Executives were low. Only Ashin, Mars, and Archer had the opportunity to become Senior Executives and confidants.

Giovanni sat on the sofa, with a lazy Persian curled at his feet, and a fawning Haunter massaging him from behind.

Ashin and the other two saluted Giovanni, "Boss."

"Sit down." Giovanni pointed to the sofa nearby, and once they were all seated, he said,

"Over the past year, while I was away, you must have suffered quite a bit and worked hard."

Earlier, because they were in a hurry, he only said a few words. Now, they finally had time.

Ashin and the others shook their heads, "It's not hard, no grievances. Being alive to see you is the best."

Giovanni was always generous with his subordinates, even overly so.

"Good, I won't show favoritism. After some time, I will adjust your resources to be equivalent to those of a Captain. How quickly you become stronger will be up to you then."

Giovanni was extremely wealthy, not caring about the expenses at all, as he now held fifty percent of the Evolution Stone mountain range.

"Once you reach the strength of a Captain, I will continue to help you adjust to the resources of an Executive."

Ashin and the others were shocked; they hadn't expected Giovanni to be so generous upon his return.

In this past year, how did Boss suddenly become so rich?

Even if he became the leader, he shouldn't have such immense power.

Giovanni saw them lost in thought and interrupted them, "Don't think too much. I naturally have my own methods."

Then he said, "I might be leaving again soon."

Mars, who was more impatient, immediately asked, "Why? Didn't you just get back?"

Ashin and Archer were equally puzzled.

Giovanni told them to calm down and briefly explained.

"My strength has hit a bottleneck. Although I have a large amount of resources supporting me, at this rate, reaching Elite Four Level might take until I'm twenty, Champion-level perhaps in my thirties, and the even higher Master Class might not be achievable even in my forties."

This statement sounded a bit like humblebragging.

Ashin and the others couldn't even imagine. If they could reach Elite Four Level at twenty, they'd probably wake up laughing from their dreams, let alone the unreachable Master Class, or even Champion-level, which was even further in their dreams.

However, coming from Giovanni's mouth, it made them so convinced.

Only Giovanni could truly achieve these things.

The three of them nodded. Stopping Giovanni would be overstepping, so all they could do was support him. "Your subordinates understand."

"So, the internal affairs of the base are entrusted to you. Although Anke doesn't have the guts to do anything he shouldn't, it can't be ruled out." Giovanni first explained the matters to them.

"At that time, the Shadows will follow Mother's arrangements, but if you have any trouble on a daily basis, you can also go to them and act with them."

Ashin and the others nodded vigorously, "Yes!"

Then Giovanni clenched his fist, his eyes glowing faintly:

"Opportunities, these things won't come to me on their own. I must go find them myself. What I want is to become the strongest, not to become someone by following the usual path."

This was Giovanni's ambition!

Since he had become Giovanni, how could he merely become just another Giovanni?

Following the usual path was not Giovanni's nature.

He knew that there were other timelines in this world. Since he had come, he wanted to experience them.

He wanted to become the strongest Giovanni among these timelines, to become the strongest person.
