Chapter 3 - 2

A few weeks later.

South Korean Military and reasearchers have deemed the White towers harmless and citizens are now able to live as usual without any danger.

But Kaine knows that in one month, the world will change and reek into havoc.

Kaine looks at a White tower from a distance from his window, while a slip of sticky note fall out of his book.

The book is filled with notes on how to deal with the White tower and strategies from Lost in fiction.

And one is labeled with red marking with the label being ' Yeo jin '.

Then Kaine realising the sticky note fell out quickly gets out of his daydream and picks it up.

While looking at the sticky note blankly, he encourages himself.

' I will make it to the end and change his fate! '.

Hours go by, Kaine fell asleep on his desk while sticky note and crumpled pieces of papers fill up the floor.

By the time the sunrises, Kaine slowly opens his eyelids, heavy from the exhaustion his eyes only see the White towers and in the sunny sky he dazedly hallucinates a figure.

'Yeo Jin ...'

Meanwhile in another area, a tall figure with beautiful green emerald snake eyes looks on the distance, watching someone and the White tower.

' Wait for me.. '

The figure mumbles as his snake pupils dilate.

Then someone taps the figure on the shoulder, her silver hair making her out of place, she whispers to the figure.

' Master..we need to prepare Lycanthian '

The figure and the girl then jump off to another building's rooftop. The figure briefly stops and look at the object of his heart.

But moves on with the girl to a much taller building.

Meanwhile Kaine hurriedly cleans up his mess and quickly gets ready, while he is eating his breakfast.

He feels a chill on his spine as if someone is watching him.

But then the chill is gone after awhile. Kaine doesn't think much of it and gets ready to work.

While on work his mind is still preoccupied by the White towers and Yeo Jin.

' I..im scared Yeo Jin..might kill me for getting in his way..he is the type to never listen or understand anyone completely . '

While Kaine is occupied with those thoughts, he accidentally bumps into someone.

" Im sorry! "

The person smirks a bit, and Kaine sees a feature of him that is very eye-catching, his white silvery long hair.

" It's okay, i should be apologizing since i bumped into you without looking "

The guy says while scratching his head.

Kaine remarks in his heart how tall and beautiful the guy's whtie silvery long hair is.

" Oh it's alright too! "

They then apologized to each other and went separately to their own ways.

Kaine still feels lingering feeling of astonishment when meeting the guy, Kaine thought of asking for the guy's name but forgot due to how cool the guy looks.

But before he could dwell too much he arrived at his workplace and gets ready to work heavily until it gets late at night.

Then when he sits down he sees something unusual on his work monitor and clicks on it.

Then time stops, Kaine realises he has been pulled into a subsidiary questline.

' A subsidiary questline is repeatable but the chances of it appearing is pretty low.. '

' And the rewards are very appealing but the quest is gonna give the same rewards over and over.. '

'Everyone will know what the rewards will be from the questlines, once everything develops.'

As Kaine tries to figure out the goal of the subsidiary quest, he suddenly feels a rush of fear. Unbeknownst to him, a monster appears behind him.

Kaine tries to ease himself seeing the monster. He inspects the monster to know a weakness of it.

But before he came to a conclusion, the monster started to hit him.

Kaine barely dodged the blow of the monster. He saw the huge crater that was built by the monster. Kaine quickly thought of a way to defeat it, he looked around and saw the coffee dispenser.

Earlier the staff replaced the coffee dispenser with water as a way to help "improve" their employees health. Even they turned on the hot water option.

Kaine quickly rushed towards the coffee dispenser, since the monster was a machine-type, he could easily exploit the water weakness they have. One thing is, they heavily protect themself with armor that block out the water from their circuits. But seeing as this one doesn't have much armor around the chest, the most vital part.

Kaine thought of throwing the coffee dispenser to it, if he failed, he would lose a lot. His life.

He threw it believing in his capabilities. But perhaps luck wasn't on his side since the coffee dispenser only had a fourth of the water, the water then only hit the legs of the monster.

Kaine only looked at the monster. His lifeless eyes. He couldn't do much now.

But he thought of something that made him feel liek he was anew.

He remembered that there was a virus vault in his company, altough he didn't know why there was a virus vault but he was ready to use it for the sake of his survival.

He quickly ran towards the vault, the monster chasing behind ready to attack him.
