Chapter 36 - It wasn't me who forced her to death

Shen Mu couldn't find anyone to settle the score with, so she decided to go back to her room and take a nap until someone came back. Just as she was about to lift her foot to walk towards her room, her phone rang. Shen Mu saw that it was a call from Madam Lu and sighed before answering, "Hello, Auntie Lu."

Madam Lu's voice was tearful and intermittent on the other end of the phone as she said, "Xiao Mu! Please come over, I'm so sorry, I..."

Shen Mu tried to comfort her as she made her way downstairs, "Auntie, don't worry, I'll come over right away."

She took a taxi to the Lu family's house. Yesterday, the family was lively, but today the living room was eerily quiet. The servants were nowhere to be seen, and it was clear that the family was discussing something important and didn't want outsiders present.
