HARRISON'S POV.
The courtyard slowly emptied, the sound of footsteps and murmurs started fading into the night like dying echoes. Alpha Leo walked ahead with that calm authority that always filled the air around him, and Lucius followed a few steps behind. I couldn't help but notice how close they were…father and son, side by side, as though the world revolved around them alone.
But not everyone saw it as something warm.
From where I stood, Tyrant's expression darkened as he watched the two disappear through the hallway. His jaw was clenched and his eyes started to narrow, his posture was so stiff as stone.
There was bitterness there…jealousy, maybe, but he hid it behind a cold, practiced smile. He stood still for a while longer, his gaze then moved in the direction of his father and half-brother, before he finally turned and walked away, as his steps sounded so heavy with restrained anger.
