Chapter 102 - 102

It turns out that Lucy and the Fairy Tail Guild get along pretty well.

When Makarov saw that Lucy, who had just joined the Fairy Tail Guild a few days ago, brought him two complaint tickets, he felt terrible. Even though he doted on the guild's kids and didn't want them to be disturbed, he was really going to get scolded!

"Caesar, sometimes, I really hope that you can teach your alchemy to everyone in the guild." Makarov sat in the car and sighed. "That way, even if they damage things, at least they can repair them, and there will be fewer complaints."

Caesar, who was following Makarov, laughed when he saw the two complaint forms. It had only been eight days since Lucy joined the guild on the 2nd, and now it was the 10th. The two complaints were about the huge waves hitting Hargeon Port, and the perverted noble who liked weird maids complaining when they went to complete a novel mission. Well, in the future, Lucy's number of complaints probably wouldn't be less than Natsu's.

As for them now, they were heading to the regular meeting venue. According to the plot, something strange was going to happen with the Iron Forest. Caesar planned to let Erza and the others handle the small fry, while he took care of the cursed demon himself — after all, it was a good chance to gain some experience.

When Caesar stepped into the regular meeting room again, it felt just like another day. He remembered how he was once a newcomer, even someone that Aria from Phantom Lord could control. Now, Phantom Lord no longer dared to attend these meetings. If Joseph ever showed up again, Caesar wouldn't hesitate to provoke him just to crush him in return. What a pity he didn't.

Makarov brought Caesar to the venue. When the presidents of various guilds saw Caesar, they immediately surrounded him, all showing friendliness. Caesar smiled politely — after all, these people and their guilds were his sources of income. The meeting was set to last two days, ending on the 12th. But only Caesar knew something would happen on the night of the 11th. Makarov wouldn't even make it to the 12th before things went downhill.

After Caesar and Makarov settled in, Erza returned as expected. She took Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and Happy to investigate the Iron Forest. The journey went mostly as it did in the original story — except this time, everyone was stronger thanks to Caesar's influence. Even the newly joined Lucy, armed with Sagittarius and Gemini, far surpassed her original self and defeated many foes in Iron Forest.

However, they still didn't use their brains and got themselves trapped at the station. If Lucy hadn't used Virgo to dig a tunnel, Eligore might have already reached Caesar with the cursed song. Of course, even if he did, Caesar would have ended the fight instantly with a single punch.

Meanwhile, Natsu managed to catch up and knock Eligore out cold. But Kagayama took the chance to steal the flute and headed toward the meeting venue.

At the venue, Caesar received a message from Mirajane and turned to the drunk Makarov. "Master, there's a little trouble. Erza, Natsu, Gray, Lucy, and the others seem to have destroyed a train station."

"Uh-huh!!!" Makarov instantly sobered up and stumbled off the table. He grabbed Caesar's arm and said seriously, "Caesar…"

"I understand. I'll fix it," Caesar replied. "But Master, that's not your biggest problem. The real problem is that the group is heading this way."

He quickly relayed Mirajane's information. Makarov's expression turned serious. After a moment, he patted Caesar's arm. "Leave this to me. It's our duty as elders to guide the younger generation onto the right path."

"Then I'll leave it to you, Master. I'll handle the cursed song," Caesar said with a smile. Makarov nodded, trusting him completely.

Later that night, Kagayama, covered in bandages and exhausted, reached the meeting venue. Seeing the crowd through the window, he sighed in relief — he wasn't late. As he prepared to play the cursed song, he suddenly felt a poke on his cheek. He turned around to see Makarov, tipsy and laughing.

After a few coughs, Makarov waved him off. "Oh, I forgot something important! You, go back to the hospital." But before he could leave, Kagayama stopped him. "Excuse me, can I play one song? They don't allow instruments in the hospital."

Makarov looked doubtful. "Why does your flute look so strange? It feels… creepy."

"It may look bad, but it sounds beautiful," Kagayama said, pretending to be harmless.

"I'm in a hurry. Just one song," Makarov said, holding up a finger. "Alright," Kagayama replied with a smile, thinking he had won. "Please, listen carefully."

As Kagayama lifted the flute to his lips, Erza and the others, watching from a distance, panicked. "Don't let that guy blow the flute! That's the cursed song!" Erza shouted.

"Alright, alright, just watch," Goodman said lazily. "The fun's just getting started."

Meanwhile, Natsu and Gray were tangled up by Bob, leaving them no chance to interfere. Lucy wanted to stop them, but Caesar appeared and raised his hand. "Don't worry. Everything is under control. If anything really happens, protect the guild leaders. I'll handle the rest."

Seeing Caesar there, Erza and the others finally relaxed. After all, the man known as the Tyrant was more than enough to make anyone feel safe.
