Chapter 1 - Cancer takes another victim.

Lying in a hospital room while a storm rages outside, a young man lay there looking at pictures of his younger years. A boy in the image stands near a Tyrannosaurus skeleton, causing the young man to smile before he coughs, blood trickling down from the corner of his mouth. He got up from his hospital bed and walked towards the bathroom, as he turned the light on, looking into the mirror. His bold head and sunken eyes with dark circles around them looked back at him, making him smile a self-defeating smile as he grabbed some paper towels. As he turned the water on and washed his face before coughing once more as blood spilled into the sink, his head started to get fuzzy, and he couldn't focus as he stumbled towards the bathroom door.

'Hel-p, m-e!' He tried to yell, but his throat was semi-constricted as he coughed up more blood, finally making it out of the bathroom and to his bedroom door, where he opened it, only to lose his balance from his blurred vision and fall to the ground, coughing up more blood. He felt like he was drowning in it 'I d-on't wa-nt to die.' He cried out as a nurse ran over, yelling, but his mind couldn't understand what she was saying. At this point, I couldn't breathe as the nurses started to work on me, and the world slowly began to fade as I had flashbacks to my childhood.

'Mommy, I want to meet Dinosaurs there, so cool.' I said, looking up at a woman with red hair as she smiled down at me, her beautiful smile lighting up the world. 'What's your favorite one, Jacob?' She said. 'The Utahraptor! They look so cool!' I said as she squatted down, kissing my cheek. 'My son, if you dream enough, anything is possible.' She said before everything went black, only for the next moment to turn white.

'Welcome, young one.' A female voice rang out as I looked around to see a giant woman with an otherworldly aura to her. 'Who are you?' I asked, confused, as she started to get smaller until she was about my height. 'I am the goddess of life and rebirth. I have picked you to be reborn into another world and am here to give you a gift.' She said. I looked at her and nodded as I remembered coughing up a lot of blood, so I take it the cancer won. 'What kind of gift?' I asked as she smiled. 'A system of your making, my dear.' She said as I smiled, remembering my flashback.

'Can you tell me more about the world I am going to first?' I asked her as she nodded with a smile. 'It's a world of sword and magic, with many different beings and monsters. It's a thousand times bigger than your world, with wars and dungeons around it. Their culture is around the Middle Ages with magic intertweened with it, along with a polygamous system that rewards the strong with the ability to marry more than one woman. It's a man-ruled world, as violence is key to survival in this world.' She said as I listened and nodded. The reason men tend to rule more than women is that order and law need to be enforced, and to do that, you have to be able to do violence when required.

'You said I could make my system right?' I asked as she smiled and nodded. 'Yes, you will build it to your liking, Jacob. As long as it's not too overpowered, I will agree to it.' She said. I walked around for a moment and nodded. 'I want the outline of it to be about breeding and changing the DNA of Dinosaurs with traits of my choosing, like making their bodies stronger and adding elements like magical powers to enhance their foundation. I will need a sub-space where they can live. We can start with it being 50 square miles and expand it with points. I can buy feed for them and put it in this sub-space land like an island.' I said as she listened and nodded, laying out the groundwork, showing me.

'How would you like the point system to be?' She asked, making me think for a moment as I started to talk. I can buy Dinosaur eggs and alter their bodies with them, such as making their bones stronger without losing speed, as well as making their skin tougher and the like. I can even buy elemental natures for them that would change them into a wind raptor or stuff like that. I will be rewarded 10 points a day and a free draw for a random egg or elemental nature. Can you make elemental nature be passed down to offspring? And at some point, I can combine the DNA of different Dinosaurs. Have you seen Jurassic Park? It's kind of like that.' I said with excitement.

'I will make it so that with every level-up, your points per day will double. As it will take a while for your eggs to hatch, I will make sure that you can use your points while still a baby, that way you can start to build your power base as you grow up. I will give you the chance to pick a male and female egg of a Dinosaur of your choosing and let you change them for free.' She said, smiling at me, as all the things I asked for weren't overpowered, as those animals need time to grow, and weren't world-changing off the bat.

'How will I level up? And will my Dino's level up?' I asked, making her smile, and nodded. 'You can level up by killing, you will get a set amount of Experience from your Dino killing. But they will get more than you, but you don't have to worry about controlling them, as they will be loyal to you no matter what. As we can't have them run wild without your control.' She said, making me slap my forehead as I forgot about that. 'Thank you for adding that, hmmm, I never got your name?' I said, making her smile as she kissed my forehead, and my mind started to waver in and out. 'If we meet again, I will tell you, dear Jacob. But for now, grown stronger and become a man worthy of me.' She said, shocking me at the end of her statement.

The next moment, I couldn't open my eyes, and all I could hear was the sound of a heartbeat. *THUMP* *THUMP* In a calming rhythm, as I heard a voice.

'Dino breeding system activated, host may now choose two eggs of his chosen breed. He is free to change them, he has 1 hour to do so.' The voice said as I thought about the system, and I felt my mind leave my new body as I stood on an island with trees and the sound of waterfalls in the distance. I didn't hear any animals; it was almost eerie. 'System pull up the Dinosaur list of eggs.' I said, and I found the one I wanted —the Utahraptor. Looking at its name made me smile.

Picking the male and female eggs for them, it opened a screen showing me their bodies as I picked their bones first, making them ten times stronger without losing their lightness, so their speed wasn't affected. I then worked on their muscle development and improved their long-distance running, enabling them to maintain their top speed for longer, as I aimed to enhance their ability to chase down prey. I increased their size by three feet so I could ride them when the time was right, making me smile. I made their skin ten times tougher so they wouldn't be cut as easily, before I finally picked their magical elements. I picked wind for the male and lightning for the female; this way, I had more options when dealing with magic in this world.

I kept them mostly fathered, but adjusted their arm area so they didn't look so strange as I finished and checked the time. I had ten minutes left, and I smiled, pressing the buy button.

'Host has bought the Wind Elemental Utahraptor and the Lightning Elemental Utahraptor. Their eggs are now available for purchase in the store. You can buy them when you feel like it, and your Dinos can breed naturally, also. Please pick a spot to make the nests.' The system said.

I walked towards a waterfall, finding a big tree as I looked around and noticed roots that made the area damp but not wet. I smiled and picked this spot as two nests began to show up, with two eggs the size of two or three hands combined showing up. I place my hands on them, feeling a connection to them, and smile. I could see the two Utahraptors inside them growing.

'Host, it will take three months for them to hatch. Please make sure they have food when the time comes.' The system listed the animals I could buy, and as I pulled up the list, I thought for a moment. I looked and found rats. They cost 1 point to buy, and I have ten, so I started to walk away from the nest and picked the first spot about half a mile away from the nest. I checked and ensured that they couldn't be attacked first, as Gen 1 Dinosaurs have a system protection feature, meaning animals can't attack their nests. Only naturally bred eggs can be attacked. I bought a male and female rat, letting them build a nest as I did this every half mile around the nest.

They breed fast, so by the time the raptors hatch, there should be plenty of food for them for a while before I need to buy bigger prey. As I finished I looked through the system and smiled, I could buy armor and gear for them making me think about the elemental dinos running into battle with armor on making me smile as I chuckled I can't wait to see the wonders of this world as I didn't have anything more to do I walked around the island making sure to remember every inch of it as I planned for nest in the future.

It cost a hundred points for one Utahraptor egg, as I planned to use it for a while before upgrading to bigger Dinosaurs. I went back to the nest with the eggs and expanded it after twenty days. I wanted more, so they could breed and become a strong pack. As I bought two more, placing them near the others, the first two will be the leaders, and I already picked out names for them. Placing my hands on them as I smiled, 'Adam and Eve.' I can't wait to meet you.
