The Lóngzūn hovered high above the battlefield, releasing his immense aura without restraint.
Under that crushing pressure, all thirty thousand sea beasts trembled uncontrollably. As the weight grew heavier, their knees nearly buckled, and several almost fell to the ground.
In truth, there was no need for the other sea clans to make a move. The Lóngzūn alone could easily slaughter every last one of them.
Yun Jin raised an eyebrow and waved her hand. That suffocating pressure instantly melted away like frost under the sun, vanishing without a trace. The sea beasts exhaled in relief, their spines straightening again.
"Who are you? Report your name," the Lóngzūn said coldly, his voice echoing through the sky. "I don't kill the nameless."
Her white hair fluttered as Yun Jin lifted her head, a faint smile curving her lips. "Yun Jin. Remember this name. Soon, it'll be the name of the new ruler of the East Sea."
Her tone was calm, but an unshakable arrogance lingered beneath the surface.
The Lóngzūn's expression darkened. Before his breakthrough, no sea beast had dared speak to him that way. After mastering the Primordial Water, even the other three major clans bowed to his will.
And yet Yun Jin still dared to speak so boldly?
Fine.
Very fine.
She was asking for death.
His gaze turned ice-cold.
"Yun Jin, step forward and face me," the Lóngzūn said, his voice like thunder. "I'll end your life within three moves!"
She tilted her head slightly, intrigued. "And what if you can't?"
He let out a low, mocking laugh. "Don't provoke me. Soon, you'll understand what real despair feels like."
"I'm looking forward to it." Yun Jin rose into the air and faced him head-on. "I heard the Lóngzūn's already mastered the Primordial Water."
He arched a brow. "It's too late for regrets now."
"Regret?" Her eyes gleamed with a hint of madness. "No, why would I regret it? I've been missing just one last bit of insight to break through the Primordial Water. Before this, your Ink Sea Dragon Clan kindly came to help me comprehend three supreme Laws. I could only take their lives as thanks. Now that you've come in person, for fairness' sake, once you help me comprehend the Primordial Force, I'll return the favor by giving you a clean death."
Give him a death?!
The Lóngzūn froze.
The entire battlefield fell silent.
Irene couldn't help turning toward Yun Jin, her expression twitching. Was this woman insane? She clearly knew the Lóngzūn had already mastered the Primordial Water, yet she still dared to speak like that?
"Of course," Yun Jin went on, sighing as if bored, "if I were using my full strength, your level of power really wouldn't pose any threat to me."
She sounded almost honest.
But both sides of the battlefield were losing their minds.
What was she even saying? If she used her full power, the Lóngzūn wouldn't be a threat?
What kind of arrogance was that?! Did she think she was the Sea Emperor himself?!
Even Hei Chi wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.
"Dear heavens. Just what kind of Senior had he ended up following?"
The Lóngzūn's laugh deepened. "Fine, fine! Then show me your so-called full strength!"
"You really want to see it?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Come on!" he shouted, his laughter echoing through the air. "Show me what you've got!"
"Alright." Yun Jin nodded lightly. "Maybe this will motivate you to actually use your full strength too."
The Lóngzūn was about to sneer again when it happened.
Out of nowhere, black and white chains of Yin and Yang appeared and wrapped tightly around him.
For a moment, he froze. Instinctively, he tried to break free. But he couldn't. He struggled again, harder this time, but it was useless. Then despair struck him. As the chains bound him, he could feel his spiritual power slowly draining away!
"It's just a single chain. You think that can restrain anyone?" barked an elder from the Ink Sea Dragon Clan. "Yun Jin, you've offended the dragons. Today will be your death day!"
The other dragons began shouting too, their roars echoing through the sea.
Meanwhile, the Lóngzūn was sweating. He couldn't move.
Damn it, he really couldn't move at all!
"Lóngzūn, stop wasting time with her!" the elder shouted. "Please, destroy her and bring glory to our Dragon Palace!"
The elder's voice rang out proudly.
The rest of the dragons joined in, chanting together, "Please destroy her, Lóngzūn, and bring glory to our Dragon Palace!"
Their faces flushed with excitement, eyes burning with anticipation.
That arrogant Yun Jin—
Any moment now, the Lóngzūn would crush her with overwhelming might!
They kept shouting louder and louder.
Meanwhile, the Lóngzūn just wanted to die. Could they not take a look at him before yelling? Did they think he was staying still by choice?
He'd already used every ounce of strength he had, yet the chains didn't even twitch! Not even a little!
A flicker of horror rose in his heart. These chains could completely restrain him. That meant this woman had to have mastered a Primordial Force of her own. And judging from the feeling he got, that Primordial Force wasn't just above his—it was leagues beyond! What kind of monster was she?!
He'd once followed the Sea Emperor and witnessed his power firsthand. The Sea Emperor had mastered not only the Primordial Water but also an even stronger Tier-Three Primordial Force.
Combining the two had made him the undisputed ruler of the ocean. But the sense of helplessness Yun Jin's chains gave him was even worse than what he'd felt facing the Sea Emperor back then.
This woman...
At the very least, she had to be on the same level as the Sea Emperor.
No, that couldn't be right. If someone like her existed, how could the world not know of her?
The Ink Sea Dragons' chanting slowly faltered as they noticed something wrong.
Why wasn't the Lóngzūn attacking?
There was no reason to let Yun Jin live this long.
Their voices fell silent one by one.
Irene stared at the Lóngzūn, whose face had turned bright red, and a terrifying thought crossed her mind. Her voice trembled as she said, "The Lóngzūn… he can't break free, can he?"
"Don't talk nonsense!" the dragon elder snapped instinctively. "The Lóngzūn's just toying with her!"
He turned to the Lóngzūn with a forced smile. "Isn't that right, Lóngzūn?"
The Lóngzūn glared at him so fiercely it looked like he wanted to kill him right there. His face was so dark it could drip ink.
Slowly, realization dawned on the elder. His eyes widened in disbelief.
Wait… what? Was the Lóngzūn actually trapped by that chain?
Was he losing his mind, or had the world gone mad?
The Lóngzūn had just mastered an entire Primordial Force!
The other sea beasts were starting to notice too. One by one, their eyes filled with shock and fear.
The man hailed as the new ruler of the East Sea, the so-called first among all sea races—had been defeated just three days after his coronation?
[Emotional Value +100!]
[Emotional Value +100!]
[Emotional Value +300!]
The numbers flooded in wildly.
Yun Jin sighed softly and murmured, "See? I really didn't plan to show off. You forced me to."
"Didn't plan to show off… you forced me to. Now if that's not showing off, what is?"
