Chapter 788 - The Sect Master’s Summons

The mission was complete.

Yun Jin arched a brow and asked the system in her mind, "How many missions related to the East Sea are still in the Mission Hall?"

The system ran a quick check. [There are ten East Sea missions left.]

"Only ten?"

That was way too few.

She asked again, "The missions in the Mission Hall are formed by the willpower of living beings, right? So if the creatures here have stronger willpower, could that increase the number of available missions?"

The system went silent for a moment. It clearly realized Yun Jin was planning something suspicious. But, under her relentless questioning, it finally replied in its usual mechanical tone, [That's correct. If a creature has a clear desire for help, it increases the chance of a mission forming.]

Yun Jin nodded in satisfaction.

Perfect.

She could stay here for another month, plenty of time to stabilize the East Sea's situation. Without wasting a second, Yun Jin issued a new mission.

When Irene and the others saw the latest task, they were completely baffled.

What did it mean by…

"Inform all sea beasts: whenever you encounter something you can't solve, silently recite 'Wushuang Sect' in your heart. The more sincere your faith, the higher your chance of witnessing a miracle."

Wushuang Sect?

That seemed to be the name of the new power established by the new King.

Reciting those three words during a crisis could summon a miracle? That didn't sound reliable at all!

But, since it was the new King's command, none of them dared to disobey. Even the usually lazy Nether Turtles took action to carry out the task diligently.

The message spread across the East Sea in no time.

Although the sea beasts didn't quite understand the meaning behind it, they all memorized the instruction. When danger struck, some actually prayed silently in their hearts.

A few days later.

Yun Jin asked the system, "How many East Sea missions are there now?"

The system checked again. [Exactly fifty.]

She nodded with a smile.

Then she had the system list all the East Sea missions.

There were fifty in total, several of which required multiple participants. With that, over a hundred Wushuang Sect disciples could be deployed altogether. That was more than enough manpower.

Yun Jin opened her system panel.

Ever since the Sect Master's Residence had been upgraded to its highest level, several full-sect functions had been unlocked.

One of those features allowed her to view every disciple's detailed profile and cultivation progress at a glance. Another allowed her to project her voice directly into every disciple's mind through the Sect Master's Residence.

This time, Yun Jin used that feature without hesitation.

In the next instant, every Wushuang Sect disciple, no matter where they were, heard her voice echo in their mind.

"Any Wushuang Sect disciple currently free may take on missions in the East Sea region of the Boundless Sea. Reminder: only disciples with Water Spiritual Roots may accept these missions."

Everyone's hearts trembled.

Boundless Sea, East Sea?

That was where the Sect Master's own mission was located! Could it be she needed reinforcements?

At once, disciples across the sect rushed toward the Mission Hall. Those already away on missions and unable to return showed obvious frustration. If only they'd stayed behind, they could've gone too.

Nanlan Continent

Si Wanning's face was filled with frustration. "Yu Songnian! You owe me big for this one! I followed you all the way here, and now I've missed my chance to fight side by side with the Sect Master!"

Si Wanning happened to have a Water Spiritual Root.

Even the ice-cold Yu Songnian showed a hint of regret.

"If we can't go back, don't dwell on it," Yue Zhao said calmly. "With the Sect Master's abilities, there's nothing under heaven she can't handle. She's probably just summoning disciples to clean up what's left. For now, helping Third Senior Brother cure his petrification is more important."

Si Wanning nodded. "I know, I was just venting."

Half a month ago, Yu Songnian had drawn a mission from the Nanlan Continent.

It was an A-rank mission.

[Mission Description: The Shi Tribe of Nanlan Continent has been unable to produce a new king since losing the King Stone. Despite being one of the top ten great clans, their lack of a successor has caused widespread doubt and unrest.

Objective: Help the Shi Tribe restore their reputation and maintain their top-ten ranking.]

It was a multiplayer mission, allowing up to three participants.

After some discussion, Yu Songnian, Yue Zhao, and Si Wanning took it together.

Thanks to the modifications Yun Jin made to Yu Songnian's cultivation method, his petrification had been temporarily suppressed. But that was only a stopgap. The root cause lay in his bloodline.

Unless the two conflicting bloodlines fused completely, the petrification could erupt again at any moment.

Half of Yu Songnian's bloodline came from the Shi Tribe. To eliminate this hidden danger, he'd have to seek answers there. Besides, he was curious about the place where his mother had been born and raised.

Among the three, Yue Zhao's cultivation was the highest. He'd already reached the peak of Divine Transformation, just a step away from Unity.

Si Wanning had only just entered Divine Transformation.

Yu Songnian, however, was still stuck at the peak of Nascent Soul, held back by his bloodline.

Their levels weren't particularly high, but if things went south, they could instantly teleport back to the sect through the mission system. In terms of safety, there was no problem. So they decided to take this chance to investigate. If they could complete the mission, great. If not, they'd just move on to another one.

Their main goal was solving Yu Songnian's problem, not chasing mission rewards.

After arriving at Nanlan Continent, they consulted the map and landed in a desolate wilderness near Shi Tribe territory.

They first observed the situation from afar, then set off toward the clan's core region.

Now, the three had just reached the gates of the Shi Tribe's main city when Yun Jin's voice echoed in their minds, calling all disciples to gather.

"Let's go finish our mission first," Yue Zhao said.

Both Si Wanning and Yu Songnian agreed.

East Sea

After sending out the sect-wide notice, Yun Jin privately contacted Bai Yiran and Su Lingling, instructing them to take East Sea missions as well.

Both had pure Water Spiritual Roots, and Su Lingling's was the most perfect form of all.

The two would have endless potential in the Boundless Sea.

Under Yun Jin's direct command, all East Sea missions were quickly cleared out of the Mission Hall.

East Sea, deep waters

"Don't be scared, sister!" A male tiger shark tried to suppress his trembling voice. "When I say run, swim straight ahead and don't look back!"

"Brother!" the younger female tiger shark sobbed, eyes brimming with tears. "I'm not leaving! If we die, we die together!"

"Don't be stupid!" the older one roared. "If one of us must die, better one than both!"

The sister shook her head, crying harder. "No! I'd rather die with you!"

Suddenly, a cold voice echoed from the depths.

"Enough. No need to argue. Don't worry, you're both dying together anyway. I'll make sure of it."

From here I change Stone Tribe to Shi Tribe. I will also try to change the earlier chapter too,
