Chapter 21 - CH. 21 : The Jeju Island Raid Pt. 6

"Urgh!" With hand in her mouth, Cha Hae-In fell down to her knees as the room was getting overwhelmed by the magical energy pressure created by the presence of that one single ant.

'Everyone is getting overwhelmed. I wonder what will happen. Should I intervene now?' Min-Jae thought and questioned. 'No, let's watch for a while for fun.' He stood at the very backline, to the left from where the Ant was walking in.

'We don't have time to be standing around, we need to hurry and kill this thing first...' But as Ma Dong-Wook was thinking this, the ant just walked past him by his side, without giving a shit about the person it walked by, and went to the back of the room.

'Wow. Hunter Ma Dong-Wook received the same fate as Choi Jong-In with Sung Jin-Woo. Ignored.' Min-Jae thought.

Min-Jae turned around to see the Ant walk over to the fallen body of the Ant Queen and...

'Did it bite the queen?' Min-Jae questioned in a bit of surprise. 'For some reason the Ant just reminded me of Hunter × Hunter. Funny thing is I just started watching it after coming in this universe, and they actually have Hunter x Hunter available. Surprising ?'

But suddenly, as Min-Jae was having his thoughts, they were broken by the sudden roar from the Ant. Its already overwhelming magical energy pulsed as its overwhelming presence spread across the whole cave, emitting an enormous amount of magical energy.

Every Hunter present—all were S-Rank—yet the magical energy emitting from it was so overwhelming and so dark that all of them started shaking from the intensity.

'It will attack... Unless it attacks me or Cha Hae-In, I'll keep watch for a moment before intervening. You know, just for some fun.'

---

The Ant turned around.

With blinding speed, it moved toward its first target.

'It's fast, though not that much,' Min-Jae thought casually.

Min Byung-Gu barely had time to raise his guard before the Ant's massive blow connected with his chest, sending him flying across the cavern like a ragdoll. He crashed into the rocky wall with a sickening crunch.

"Min Byung-Gu!" Baek Yoon-Ho roared, his eyes blazing with fury as his transformation began. His body bulked up, white fur sprouting as he activated his Beast Transformation. Without hesitation, he charged head-on at the Ant.

But the creature was already in motion.

*Slash! Slash! Slash!*

Three lightning-fast strikes carved through Baek Yoon-Ho's defenses before he could even swing. Blood sprayed as he dropped to his knees, clutching his chest.

"Damn it!" Ma Dong-Wook bellowed, his body expanding as he activated his Giant Transformation. His massive shield materialized in his hands as he positioned himself between the Ant and his fallen comrades. "You're not getting past—"

The Ant didn't slow down.

It crashed through Ma Dong-Wook's shield like it was paper. The metallic *crack* echoed through the cavern as the shield shattered, and in the same devastating motion, the Ant's blade-like appendage severed Ma Dong-Wook's arm clean off—armor and all.

Ma Dong-Wook's scream of agony filled the cave as he collapsed backward, blood gushing from the stump.

'It has speed, great strength... I wonder what else it will do,' Min-Jae mused, still watching with detached interest. 'But, shouldn't it target me first? Or does it know that if it targets me first, it will die? Maybe it's taking the best possible route to gain more screen time.'

The Ant's attention shifted.

Choi Jong-In, the master of flames, raised his hand as fire began to gather around him. "Burn—"

But the Ant was already there.

A single upward slash cut through his flame barrier before it could fully form. Choi Jong-In's eyes widened in shock as the blade carved across his torso. He crumpled to the ground, flames sputtering out.

"Jong-In!" Lim Tae-Gyu shouted, already drawing his bowstring. Multiple arrows of concentrated mana formed and launched toward the Ant in rapid succession.

The Ant swatted them aside effortlessly and closed the distance in an instant. With a brutal backhand, it sent Lim Tae-Gyu flying through the air. He hit the ground hard and didn't get up.

Now only Cha Hae-In remained standing—barely.

The Ant turned its eyeless head toward her and moved.

Cha Hae-In gritted her teeth and raised her sword despite her trembling hands. 'I have to... I have to hold it off—'

The Ant's blade came down.

*CLANG!*

She blocked the first strike, but the impact sent shockwaves through her arms. Her sword—a high-grade weapon forged specifically for S-Rank Hunters—cracked along the edge.

'No... not yet...!'

The Ant raised its blade again for the killing blow.

Cha Hae-In's eyes widened as she saw death approaching—

*Whoosh!*

Suddenly, Min-Jae stood in front of her.

"It's not fun anymore just watching," he said casually. "Let's have fun fighting now."

The Ant's blade came down with enough force to split stone.

It stopped mid-air.

The creature's blade pressed against an invisible barrier mere inches from Min-Jae's face—his Infinity. The Ant pushed harder, its magical energy flaring violently, but the blade wouldn't move even a millimeter.

"My turn," Min-Jae said.

He threw a casual punch.

*BOOM!*

The Ant was sent skidding backward across the cavern floor, its feet carving trenches in the stone as it tried to stop its momentum. It crashed into the opposite wall, dust and debris exploding outward.

'Did I use too much strength?' Min-Jae wondered, tilting his head slightly. 'Nope, it's just too weak.'

He glanced back at Cha Hae-In, who was staring at him in shock, her broken sword still raised. "I'll handle this. Take care of the others."

Without waiting for a response, Min-Jae walked forward, his footsteps echoing in the now-silent cavern.

The Ant extracted itself from the rubble, its posture shifted—cautious now. It could sense the difference. This human was *different*.

Min-Jae's lips curved into a smirk. "How convenient for you to put me as the last target. What was the word...?" He paused dramatically, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Ah, right—'Plot Convenience.'"

He cracked his knuckles and continued walking forward.

"Now then... let's see what you've really got."
