Chapter 34 - Volume 1: Chapter 34 - It Must Be Prince Su Who Took Action

"Swish!"

Just then, a shrill whistle划破 (split) the sky.

Elder Sun looked up in the direction of the sound.

On the horizon, a cyan light pierced through the clouds, hurtling toward the city like a meteor.

"What is that?"

Elder Sun blinked, trying to see the cyan light clearly.

But in an instant, the cyan light had arrived above the city, right before his eyes.

"Flying sword...!"

The moment he recognized the cyan light, Elder Sun's face turned deathly pale, and he couldn't help but exclaim.

The Wind Controlling Sword, carrying Lin Yu's anger, had traversed three thousand miles, imbued with supreme sword intent, like a star descending here!

Surrounded by three black-robed corpse puppets and already绝望的 (despairing), Lin Shuo also saw the hurtling sword.

Before he could react, the flying sword turned into a cyan streamer, circling around the three corpse puppets beside him.

When the streamer dissipated, the three corpse puppets collapsed into dozens of fragments, falling haphazardly around Lin Shuo like knocked-over blocks.

"Prince Su—it must be Prince Su who took action!"

Lin Shuo immediately recalled the recent legend spreading across nations. His eyes lit up with joy. Although he didn't know how Prince Su knew he was in danger thousands of miles away, who else in the Great Han royal family could wield a flying sword and instantly destroy three Xiantian Third Grade corpse puppets?

The flying sword circled once, then pointed at Elder Sun on the roof.

Elder Sun, who had been preparing to flee, was locked on by the flying sword. His face turned ashen, feeling the icy sword intent锁定 (locking) him—no matter where he fled, he couldn't escape this strike.

In that moment, a warning sign flared in his heart, and he sensed the danger of death!

Hanging in mid-air, the flying sword suddenly accelerated, turning into a blur of cyan light that shot straight for Elder Sun's chest, appearing before him in an instant.

Elder Sun roared, his body surging with demonic energy. He drew his long saber from his back and slashed fiercely at the cyan streamer of the flying sword.

Boom!

Where the flying sword passed, the demonic energy condensed on Elder Sun's saber disintegrated. Cracks spread across the saber, which finally shattered into countless pieces.

Before Elder Sun could react, the flying sword flashed, piercing through his chest. Scarlet blood gushed out.

Elder Sun looked down in disbelief at his pierced chest. With a thud, he fell from the tavern roof and slammed to the ground.

Until his death, he couldn't believe that since Prince Su had been refined into a corpse puppet by the Sect Master, who was this Great Han Prince Su who could wield a sword across thousands of miles and kill invisibly?

After slaying Elder Sun, the flying sword circled Lin Shuo once, then turned into a streamer and vanished into the distance, disappearing in an instant.

Lin Shuo looked around. The street was a river of blood, littered with corpses—like hell on earth.

At that moment, the clatter of hooves sounded from the end of the street. A unit of armored cavalry, imposing and威武的 (mighty), charged toward him.

Behind the cavalry were countless elite soldiers, sealing off the entire street in moments.

"Your servant Lan Yu apologizes for arriving late. Please punish me, Second Prince!"

A general wearing a yaksha mask, clad in heavy armor, and holding a spear arrived before Lin Shuo under the escort of the cavalry. He knelt on one knee and pleaded for punishment.

"Assign men to escort me back to the imperial city."

Lin Shuo looked at the残骸 (remains) of the black-robed corpse puppets, his face铁青 (livid). He隐隐 (vaguely) sensed a huge conspiracy behind this assassination.

"Yes, sir!"

Lan Yu clasped his fists in salute and ordered the cavalry to escort Lin Shuo.

The cavalrymen were elite among elites, their armor inscribed with hidden arrays. Dozens of them working together could抗衡 (match) a Xiantian Realm warrior.

If hundreds or thousands formed a battle formation, even a Purple Mansion Realm expert might not break through.

With the cavalry escorting him, Lin Shuo could rest easy.

...

In the imperial mausoleum, Lin Yu watched the returning Wind Controlling Sword and stored it in his sea of consciousness, hiding it in the Divine噬 God Cauldron.

"Strange—the people the Wind Controlling Sword killed were clearly practicing Great Zhou royal martial arts, but their vital energy was枯竭 (depleted), with no signs of life—they were like living dead."

Lin Yu frowned. The Wind Controlling Sword was his eyes and ears, allowing him to clearly sense the特殊性 (特殊性) of the corpse puppets.

"Zeze! What a strong demonic aura!"

Just then, the voice of Cauldron Lord sounded in Lin Yu's mind.

"What?" Lin Yu asked in confusion.

"The demonic aura on the Wind Controlling Sword is very strong. Except for the last one you killed, the rest were all corpse puppets." Cauldron Lord chuckled. Demonic Sect secrets were no mystery to him.

"Corpse puppets?" Lin Yu was puzzled. After being hunted by the entire world, the Demonic Sect had vanished for ages, so the world knew little about them. He didn't know what corpse puppets were.

"Just a despicable trick of the Demonic Sect. They refine warriors' corpses into obedient puppets, but the requirements are extremely harsh, and the refining method is complex. In short, a corpse puppet's strength is much lower than when it was alive—nothing to fear." Cauldron Lord revealed the secret of corpse puppets.

"Cauldron Lord, how do you know all this?" Lin Yu asked in surprise.

"Hehe! After I refined the demons in the Demon-Sealing Tower, I absorbed their memories. When it comes to understanding the Demonic Sect, those current demon cultivators might not know more than me!" Cauldron Lord said proudly.

"Cauldron Lord, could the one who crippled my dantian back then be a demon cultivator?" Lin Yu wondered. The mysterious person who ambushed him had been ruthless. If not for his Iron Cavalry Black Armor Army sacrificing themselves, he would have died.

"You hadn't awakened me yet, so who knows if the ambusher was a demon cultivator? Just keep finding treasures for me to refine. Once your strength dominates the world, kill all who might have harmed you—you'll eventually find the mastermind!" Cauldron Lord laughed, urging Lin Yu to seek heavenly materials and earthly treasures.

"Cauldron Lord, let's visit the Demon-Sealing Tower again tonight." Lin Yu smiled, picked up the stewed roe deer meat, and entered the stone house to share with Chu Chu.

Now that he had mastered the Nine Heavens Sword Flight Art, it was time to deal with the demons sealed in the upper layers of the Demon-Sealing Tower!

"It smells so good, Third Uncle! I didn't know you were such a good cook!"

Chu Chu imitated Lin Yu, eating heartily with a陶醉的 (intoxicated) expression.

Lin Yu looked at Chu Chu and smiled, "Eat more—it's good for you."

This pot of stew contained heavenly materials and earthly treasures he had picked with his flying sword. It was not only highly nourishing but also strengthened the body, increased spiritual power, and enhanced the soul—comparable to a divine pill.

Chu Chu would feel its wonders when she cultivated that night.

As for Lin Yu, after eating, he would bring "hope" to the demon cultivators in the upper layers of the Demon-Sealing Tower.

With Cauldron Lord's guidance, he believed the demon cultivators would jump into the Divine噬 God Cauldron one by one.
