Chapter 240 - Chapter 243: The Mysterious Blessing

Malfoy was completely immersed in this warm feeling, as if in a dream, with an indescribable sensation.

He had only been desperately seeking help, wanting to try communicating with the Night Emperor, but had not expected to truly receive the Night Emperor's blessing.

Moreover, this feeling of being blessed was so real—not the kind of perfunctory blessing where someone just recites a few spells and calls it done, but a true blessing.

That golden six-winged angel, no matter how you looked at it, truly existed.

What made Malfoy feel even more incredible was that the cold sensation on his body had been dispelled by the blessing. His whole person felt much more relaxed, and even his complexion had become somewhat rosier.

"Thank you, Night Emperor," Malfoy said after he came to his senses, prostrating himself on the ground with utmost devotion.

"May I ask, what do you need me to do for you?"

Looking at the devout Malfoy below, Dudley fell into contemplation.

"Regarding the Chamber, if you know any information, you can tell me," Dudley said in a deep voice.

"I have some interest in Salazar Slytherin."

Hearing this, Malfoy did not suspect anything. It was normal for a great being to be interested in a legendary figure.

Moreover, the entire wizarding world was very interested in the four founders of Hogwarts. They themselves were legends and had left many secrets behind. Many successors wanted to interpret the mysteries they had left.

"I understand. I will search for things Slytherin left behind for you," Malfoy said earnestly.

"Praise the Night Emperor!"

After a while, Malfoy heard no more voices. When he looked up again, he found the Night Emperor had disappeared.

"Praise the Night Emperor," Malfoy said devoutly once more.

Letting out a gentle breath, Malfoy opened the classroom door and walked out.

With the Night Emperor's blessing, he felt his condition had improved greatly. His heart no longer harboured fear and anxiety, and the corners of his mouth showed a long-absent smile.

In the palace, Dudley looked around thoughtfully.

He could feel that he could obviously draw upon more power from this place now, which was closely related to his advancement to Sequence 6 Judge.

The paper angel just now was something Dudley definitely could not have done before, but today his first attempt with Malfoy had succeeded.

"The paper angel can resist one evil attack. Basilisk petrification should be completely ignorable, but I do not know if it can completely offset the instant-death ability of direct eye contact," Dudley was not very certain about this in his heart.

However, compared to the previous state of having no protection at all, now he at least had another method of response.

Thinking of this, Dudley also folded a paper angel for himself and enjoyed the experience of blessing himself.

"Too bad paper angels cannot be stacked, or I could layer thousands of them," Dudley said with some regret after trying it out.

"Should I tell Harry and the others about the Night Emperor? And give them a layer of insurance as well..." Dudley fell into contemplation.

After a while, Dudley felt it was time to tell Harry about the Night Emperor.

Of course, what he would tell them was the faith of the Night Emperor, not directly exposing himself.

He was merely a blessed one of the Night Emperor.

After checking the entire palace and finding nothing new except the mysterious mist, Dudley tried again to drive away the mist but still found he could not control it.

This mist just floated throughout the entire space, omnipresent, flickering in and out of existence.

With no new discoveries, Dudley soon left this place.

In the washroom, Dudley opened his eyes.

"I remember someone else also liked going to washrooms. I even called him the King of Washrooms, but I cannot remember clearly... forget it..." Dudley's memory seemed somewhat triggered, but he did not delve deeper.

What he could remember would automatically come to him. Those he could not remember, he should not force—because this meant the current Dudley was better off not knowing.

Dudley returned to Gryffindor's common room, where Harry and the others were still waiting for him by the window.

"Dudley, why were you gone for so long?" Harry asked with a frown.

"You are not really having kidney problems, are you?" Ron said. "This is what Neville read from some ancient medical text."

Dudley's mouth twitched slightly as he said, "You are talking about kidney deficiency... Do not worry, I am perfectly fine."

Dudley was speechless. Having studied various medical texts, he knew what they meant by kidney problems.

"That seems to be the meaning. Neville said he could get you some herbs to regulate your condition," Ron continued.

Neville was quite talented with herbs—even Professor Sprout praised him highly.

"No need," Dudley shook his head. He really did not need it.

Just as he finished speaking, Dudley's heart stirred as he sensed something, and he quickly stood up, saying, "I am going to the washroom again!"

Without paying attention to Harry and the others' bewildered looks, Dudley rushed toward the washroom.

"I think he might really have kidney problems, but he will not admit it," Harry said with concern.

"Let us go find Neville later and have him help prepare some herbs," Ron suggested.

On the other side, just as Dudley entered the washroom stall, a flame appeared before him.

"Tonight at nine o'clock, meet at the Shrieking Shack outside Hogsmeade village."

"Borgin and Burkes."

After reading the contents on the parchment, flames appeared again and burnt the paper to ashes.

"Those spider corpses really should be cleared out," Dudley thought.

After Dudley had contacted Borgin and Burkes last time, they had been very interested in the giant spider corpses, even willing to come to Hogwarts specifically to collect them.

Since they could not enter Hogwarts, the best location was Hogsmeade village.

Dudley knew there was a wizarding village not far from Hogwarts, and there were quite a few secret passages from Hogwarts leading there. It would not be difficult for him to get there.

Especially since during his year and more at Hogwarts, Dudley had already discovered several secret passages leading to that village.

After replying to Borgin and Burkes and confirming the nine o'clock meeting tonight, Dudley left the washroom.

When he returned to the common room and saw Harry and the others' enquiring looks, Dudley said embarrassedly, "The food might not have been very clean. I have a bit of an upset stomach."

Harry and the others said nothing and silently continued with their homework.

At eight o'clock in the evening, Dudley left the common room, telling Harry not to wait for him as he would return quite late tonight.

Soon, he arrived at a mirror on the fourth floor of Hogwarts Castle.

Behind this mirror was a secret passage leading to Hogsmeade village, which Dudley had discovered during a routine inspection.

"Alohomora," Dudley cast the spell at the mirror, and then the mirror slowly rotated like a door, revealing the secret passage hidden behind it.
