Looking at the painting before him, Dudley wrote in the diary that he'd arrived.
Dudley had been here before and hadn't found anything special, so he knew Voldemort was deceiving him.
"I'll tell you a few spells you can try," the diary wrote.
Several spells appeared on the page.
Dudley glanced at them—they were all normal spells with no hidden traps.
So he pretended to recite the spells once, and nothing happened.
"Looks like it's not here."
After seeing Dudley's reply, Voldemort responded.
"Then let's go to the next place—eighth floor corridor, opposite the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy."
Another line of text appeared in the diary.
"Hmm?"
Dudley tensed.
So the Chamber entrance is in that place?
Various thoughts flashed through Dudley's mind.
Because Dudley had checked that place more than once. He knew there was something wrong with that place, but he could never discover what exactly was wrong.
Now seeing Voldemort say that might be the Chamber entrance, Dudley was almost certain that place really was the Chamber entrance.
Only the Chamber entrance could withstand his many inspections without revealing any problems.
This problem that had troubled Dudley for almost two semesters was finally about to be solved.
What puzzled Dudley somewhat was that the place was very close to the headmaster's office. If Ginny went there to open the Chamber, wouldn't she be easily caught?
Wait, Dumbledore doesn't seem to be at school this year!
Dudley suddenly realized something.
I wonder what problem he encountered.
Shaking his head, Dudley stopped thinking about it and walked towards the eighth-floor corridor.
"How do I get in there?" Dudley wrote in the diary.
"You need to pass by there three times in a short period whilst thinking about a place to hide things in your mind," the diary wrote.
"Hmm?"
This answer made Dudley frown.
It wasn't a powerful spell, but just thinking about a place to hide things would allow entry?
What kind of magical space was this?
But thinking that this was the Chamber built by Hogwarts founder Slytherin, Dudley suddenly felt that no matter how magical it was, he could accept it.
Soon, Dudley arrived at the eighth floor corridor.
He followed Voldemort's method, passing through the corridor three times whilst continuously thinking about a place to hide things.
When Dudley passed by for the third time, a smooth, large door slowly appeared from the wall.
This is...
Dudley was extremely surprised.
The secret that had troubled him for so long was finally revealed at this moment.
Dudley took a deep breath, put the Solar Ring on his hand, and prepared himself. As soon as he discovered the basilisk, he would immediately attack.
Then he pushed the door open and walked in. A foul smell hit him—like the smell of rubbish piled up here for a long time.
Dudley's gaze swept around. He didn't see the basilisk here but instead saw mountains of various miscellaneous items—tables, chairs, benches, some books that moved by themselves with bright colors, some scattered toys...
Basically, as long as you could think of something not too large, you could find it here.
This... really is a place to hide things.
Dudley wrote what he saw in the diary.
Soon Voldemort's reply appeared: "I've also been here before. This is a very mysterious place that always appears when needed. I've always felt it might have some connection to the Chamber."
Dudley narrowed his eyes.
From his current feeling, this probably wasn't the so-called Chamber.
However, Dudley wasn't without discoveries. At least here, Dudley sensed quite a few evil auras of dark magic.
Looks like many dark magical objects are hidden here.
Dudley's gaze swept around and found several things that might contain dark magic.
Just as Dudley was observing, a trace of black mist appeared on the diary.
At the same time, on a beautiful diadem more than ten meters away from Dudley, weak black mist also appeared.
Both existed for a very short time and quickly disappeared.
However, Dudley still felt something unusual. He looked down at the diary.
"Looks like this isn't the Chamber we're looking for," Voldemort wrote.
"Let's go to another place."
"The girls bathroom on the second floor corridor!"
Several words appeared in the diary.
Looking at the text, Dudley frowned.
He felt that Voldemort bringing him here seemed to have another purpose.
But Dudley couldn't currently determine what Voldemort wanted to do, so he could only suppress his doubts and continue following Voldemort's rhythm.
"The girls bathroom on the second floor? Are you sure?" Dudley memorized the room's situation, left the mysterious space, and headed to the second floor.
"Yes, the girls bathroom," Voldemort replied.
"All right," Dudley nodded.
He suddenly realized a problem—out of respect, he'd never been to Hogwarts girls bathrooms, and these places might really be places he'd overlooked.
Additionally, he hadn't carefully inspected the teachers offices either.
Calculating this way, there were actually quite a few places he hadn't checked.
Soon, Dudley arrived at the second-floor girls bathroom door.
This is the bathroom where Myrtle is!
Reaching the entrance, Dudley suddenly realized this.
He also remembered that on the day Crabbe was petrified, the entire second-floor corridor was flooded with water, and Malfoy had picked up this diary at that time.
Dudley looked around, confirmed no one was there, then walked in.
"Oh, Dudley, you actually entered the girls bathroom!" a shrill voice came from a nearby toilet.
Half of Myrtle's body floated outside the toilet, examining Dudley through thick glasses.
"You peeked at me bathing too, didn't you?"
Dudley ignored her comment and began observing the bathroom.
If Voldemort bringing him here wasn't due to some perverse interest, then this bathroom should at least have some problems.
"Oh, I just passed by, passed by... accidentally saw..." Myrtle immediately said, then she flew out from the toilet and floated in front of Dudley.
"Is there anything special about this girls bathroom?" Dudley simply used his extraordinary ability, asking Myrtle in a commanding tone.
"Why are you being so fierce?" Myrtle pouted. "I still wanted to share a toilet with you..."
"Oh! All right, there's a sink over there that never produces water. If you're asking about that... hehe..."
Myrtle said, pressing closer to Dudley's body.
